Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Miracle
It took Bepo and I only a couple of minutes before reaching the sleigh. Where Wolf was waiting worriedly for our return.
A sigh of relief left his mouth as soon as he saw us running toward him, but his relief soon turned into panic once he noticed we were carrying two bodies.
" Quickly hoist them onto the sleigh!" Wolf exclaimed.
Bepo and I quickly dropped the bodies on the sleigh and boarded the vehicle.
" What happened?" Wolf asked as he started whipping the Bison in quick succession to make it run faster. Buffalo barely needed any motivation as he wanted to get as far away from the forest fire as possible.
" We don't know, they were unconscious when we found them." I replied while examining the torn arm, wondering if I could perhaps reattach it with my new abilities.
I barely paid attention to the drive back home, I was too focused on the red haired boys injuries. The black haired one barely had any scratches while this one had a torn arm and had lost so much blood it would be a miracle if he made it out alive.
Wolf shook me out of my examination, " We're home!" Wolf exclaimed.
Nodding his way, I quickly took the boy in my arms and ran downstairs in the lab. I knew Wolf had a small medical room down there.
I gently placed the boy on a clinical bed and started working on him. Using my abilities to scan his body and cut his body apart without killing him.
It took me 12 hours of surgery to finally be able to reattach the boy's arm and stop the bleeding completely. But there was still a problem, the teenager had lost too much blood.
I quickly scanned Bepo's and Wolf's blood and found out Bepo was a universal donner.
" Bepo, the life of this person is in your hands. I won't be mad at you if you decide to not save him after what he had done to you." I said.
Bepo didn't even let me finish as he took off his shirt and extended his arm toward me. " Take as much as you need Captain!" Bepo exclaimed.
Smiling at him, I quickly got back to work.
Once I was finished with the red haired boy, I walked to the next room where Bepo had dropped the black haired boy.
While walking toward the boy I could hear some rustling coming from him.
" Impressive you woke up already?" I asked but got no response.
*rustle*
Looking closely at the boy's body, I noticed a small moving bump under his shirt. Walking toward it, I ripped his shirt open and was met with a small dire wolf. The baby looked distressed as he was in unknown territory.
" What do I do with you?" I asked myself outloud.
" Hey Wolf-san could you come here for a second." I shouted.
A couple of seconds later Wolf walked into the room.
" What's up?" Wolf asked.
I simply pointed at the baby wolf on top of the boy's chest.
" Oh a dire wolf." Wolf exclaimed as he walked toward the unconscious boy's body.
*Grrr*
The small wolf growled menacingly from on top of the boy's body. As he seemed protective of him.
" I don't have time to deal with this, where do you want him?" I asked Wolf.
" There's a cage in the lab." Wolf suggested.
[Room] [Shambles]
I quickly teleported the baby wolf into the cage leaving in his place a small water bowl.
Quickly throwing away the bowl I got back to work and started bandaging my second patient.
A couple of hours later, I managed to finish healing the black haired boy. As soon as I was done, I felt my eyelids grow heavy. So I slumped on the ground and fell asleep before my body could even make contact with the ground.
The mental stress from the surgery and the constant use of my devil fruit completely exhausting me.

I ended up sleeping for 20 hours straight, Wolf and Bepo came down to check on me and found me sleeping on the ground with a tired smile and carried me to my room.
It took a total of 2 days for my first patient to wake up.
" Hm? What's going on? Where am I?" The black haired boy asked.
" You're in my house, located in Swallow town, can you remember anything?" Wolf asked.
" Hmm? There was this huge boar that Mikoto and I wanted to hunt, so we set a trap with some fire expecting it to die at its contact. But the boar managed to escape and ended up spreading the fire to the nearby trees. In seconds the fire encircled us, we ended up being trapped with the giant boar." His eyes suddenly grew misty," then Mikoto tried protecting me and he… he…" The boy couldn't finish his sentence and started crying.
" Your friend is fine." I said while entering the door to the small infirmary.
The black haired boy immediately recognized me and tried to stand up and get out of his hospital bed.
" Where is he?" He asked in panic thinking I was his enemy.
"Next room, he is still recovering." Seeing he was trying to stand up and go check on him. I added " I wouldn't do that if I were you, you might reopen your wounds."
He groaned in pain as he looked down at his bandaged body. Turning around he faced Wolf before bowing his head and saying while tears streaming down his face. " Thanks for saving our lives!"
" You shouldn't thank me? Law there is the one who saved you." Wolf said while pointing at me.
" Huh? Heeeeeeeh!?" The black-haired boy exclaimed before passing out.

This time it only took a couple of minutes for the black-haired boy to regain consciousness.
" Ah you're back." I said while bringing the patient some soup.
" Sorry about earlier." He said apologetically.
" It's all right, you should eat before it gets cold." I said while handing him the soup.
The boy sat silently while eating his food, once he was done. He gave me the empty bowl back and bowed to me.
" Thanks for saving me!" The boy said.
" It's alright really, no big deal I didn't really do it for you guys anyways I was just seeking adventure. And you guys happened to be on my way." I said with a bright smile.
" The reason doesn't matter, Only the result. And for that reason, I Hanzo, swear that I will not rest until I repaid this life debt." Hanzo exclaimed while bowing his head.
" Hey don't go making random promises like that you're being annoying. I told you I was seeking adventure and that's it. Let's just leave it at that." I said.
" Whether you accept my oath or not doesn't change anything. I made a promise and I shall keep it, even if it costs me my life!" Hanzo said.
" *sigh* what a troublesome individual. Well if you want to repay me so badly, how about you join my crew and we call it quits. We'll be Nakamas and help each other out whenever the need arises." I said while giving him a bright smile.
He seemed to be moved by my words as his resolve grew exponentially. " Hai Captain!" He exclaimed while giving me a grateful smile.
"By the way? What's up with the Wolf you had in your clothes?" I asked as Bepo brought the cage where we had kept the small animal for the past couple of days.
Once Hanzo saw the wolf his expression brightened up. " Snow!" He exclaimed.
"He thinks of him as his parent." Bepo said, being the only one who could understand all furry animal's speech.
(A/N It's not confirmed but I do think Minks can speak with furry animals. Since they specifically mentioned that they don't eat any animal with fur.)
The small dire wolf was jumping in excitement seeing his 'parent' finally awake.
