Chapter 70: Your Cat is Hot

"What do you want to drink?" he asked as they got on a platform that gave them a better view of the stage where some bands were preparing for their performance. 

"Beer," she said. Her knees buckled as Jiro put his hand on the railing, where she was leaning against, trapping her inside his arms. 

"Beer it is," he raised his hand in the air, and a woman, balancing a tray of beer on her hand, approached them. 

He got them two bottles of ice-cold beer. 

"They are friends," he nodded to the band on stage, as he handed her the beer.

"You also play in a band?" 

"Yeah, you could say that," he tipped the bottle of beer on his mouth, and Laurie couldn't help but stare at the movement of his Adam apple as he drank his beer. 

Jiro caught her staring, she quickly averted her gaze and kept them on the stage. She heard him chuckle softly behind her. 

He lifted his hand that was on the railing and used it to ruffle her hair.
