After deciding which weapon type Lucas wanted to buy, he walked inside and found the clerk. The clerk behind the desk was a person with a Shiba dog head. It was quite interesting to look at.
"Sir, do you have any gauntlets that's around 400 gold?"
The Shiba dog head clerk glanced at him then pointed at a corner of the store.
Lucas turned and saw there were two stairs. One led up, another led down.
"Go down and have a look around. The lower floor is for beginner blacksmiths. If you want a good weapon, you can try heading up but you'll need more than 400 gold."
"I see. Thank you."
Lucas nodded and followed his direction as he head down the basement.
As he entered the basement, he could see a lot of players doing their best to sell their wares.
Seems like a lot of players had opted to choose a smithing subclass. Lucas wondered if he should give it a try as well.
But after thinking about it, Lucas shook his head.
It's not good to try so many things at once. He had already promised to learn tailoring from that fox lady before so might as well focus on that first.
Besides, learning tailor skills already required a lot of money, surely it is also the same here.
Lucas sighed and went to look around at the weapons the players made.
After walking around the place a few times, he had found a few decent gauntlets within his budget.

Although the names are quite dubious due to players naming them, Lucas can't find any other gauntlets with a satisfying damage bonus.
Weapons here are divided into ranks:
(C) - Common
(U) - Uncommon
(R) - Rare
(SR) - Special Rare
(L) - Legendary
Needless to say, Common weapons are cheap and dispensable. Actually, even Uncommon weapons aren't good enough but Lucas can't afford any good weapons yet.
Lucas thought for a moment and decided on which to pick. (AN: Decision was based on a small minivote in Discord XD Since the chap is too short to stop here)
He walked towards the player blacksmith and pointed at the gauntlet.
"How much for the gauntlet?"
"Hm? You again? Didn't you already ask earlier? It's 420 gold!"
The player blacksmith was a Golden Retriever Dog Werebeast. He had dog ears and a dog tail but his most striking feature was...his dog mouth.
Right. Although the player had a human head, his mouth was protruded like a dog's which look quite funny.
As for his IGN...it was THANOS.

Lucas could only shake his head in his mind at the thought of the names these players come up with.
It was still fine when Lucas thought of this world as nothing but a game world. But the fact is...this world really exists somewhere in the universe. He just finds it embarrassing now to have 'fellow Earthlings' behaving like this.
Lucas didn't feel like calling him THANOS so he simply settled with calling him Dogmouth.
"Come on Dogmouth, 420 is too much. I'll buy it for 300 gold."
"Hey! Who are you calling Dogmouth!? Also, 300 gold is a ripoff! You might as well steal it!"
"Good idea."
"No! Don't steal it!"
"I won't if you sell it for 250 gold."

Dogmouth was speechless.
Who the hell haggles like this!?
Dogmouth gritted his teeth and revealed four fingers.
"400! Take it or leave it!"
"400...is still too much. How about this. I'll buy it for 390 along with that cheap sword there."
Lucas said as he casually pointed at a simple sword lying on the side.
Dogmouth blinked and hesitated for a moment.
"You...want that sword?"
Lucas rolled his eyes.
"That's what I said. Deal or no?"
"Alright deal!"
Lucas smiled and paid the man.
Afterward, he took the Infinity Gauntlet...which only looked similar to the movies but it was made from cheap bronze instead and no gems inlaid on it.
He also took the sword which he pointed earlier and chucked them into his Inventory.
"I'll look forward to seeing you make a real Infinity Gauntlet."
"Hah! Just wait and see! Once I make it, I shall snap my fingers and destroy half of the world's population!"
Lucas cringed at that and quickly left to avoid getting associated with the guy.
With that, he was left with nothing but 30 gold coins.
He used that money to grab a meal as he was feeling quite hungry. Then he was broke again.
"I should start hunting again..."
Deciding so, Lucas wore the Infinity Gauntlet ripoff and left to hunt. However, he recalled what the fox lady told him about dismantling better. He thought for a moment and decided to log out first to watch a few videos online about dismantling.
Sure enough, there were plenty of tutorial videos for it so it was quite easy to find.
Lucas ate breakfast as he started to watch the videos. Even practicing on his fried chicken which he ordered.
"Hm. Seems easy enough..."
Lucas sighed and shook his head. After eating his fill in the real world, he logged in once again to start hunting.
Since Lucas was already fairly familiar with the Lizardians, he figured it was still fine to continue hunting them.

Lucas thought for a moment before placing all his free stats to STR. Now totaling to 120.
After a few minutes of traveling, Lucas arrived at the Lizardian area and started his hunt.
"As I thought, it's a lot easier now with proper equipment."
If before, Lucas in his Dragon's Wrath mode, had to deliver around two dozen punches to a Lizardian, he can now defeat one in more or less 10 punches!
"Oh right. I still haven't looked at the sword."
Lucas remembered he bought a cheap sword earlier and didn't look at it yet.
Using this moment to rest, Lucas pulled the sword in his Inventory and looked at its stats.

Lucas' jaw dropped to the ground.
No wonder...that guy looked so desperate to sell it...
No wonder...it had the name Useless as Fuck Sword...

Lucas laughed bitterly.
This sword...coupled with his skill Heal Sword...
"What...isn't this quite useful for me?"
Lucas grinned and his eyes landed on a Lizardian that appeared near him.
"Let's test it out..."
Lucas held the sword as he charged towards the Lizardian.
Then...he slashed.

Lucas and the Lizardian continued to stare at each other.
The Lizardian initially cried out in pain upon seeing a sword slash him. However, he soon found out that he...didn't seem to be hurt at all!?
Actually, it felt kinda relaxing...
Lucas slashed again.
"..."

As expected, nothing happened.
Lucas and the Lizardian both tilted their heads.
Then, Lucas used his free left hand...to punch the Lizardian.
*Gyaaahhh!!!*
This time, the Lizardian felt the pain.
Just as it was about to retaliate, Lucas slashed again.
"..."

It was healed.
With this, Lucas had found out a few things.
Just as he had thought. the sword didn't damage the Lizardian at all. And because there was no damage, he was also not damaged with the sword's effect.
If he damages the enemy with something else rather than the sword, the enemy receives damage but he does not.
Meaning, the sword's effect doesn't necessarily work just because he equipped it.
But at the same time, he felt the damage he did was basically the same when not equipping the sword.
This meant that the damage and stat bonus of the sword is only applicable if he used that sword to damage.
Too bad, otherwise, he could've gotten additional damages just by holding it...
Lucas also tried to get hit on purpose and used the sword to slash at the enemy.
