Chapter 84: Bonfires

 The group stood around discussing what they should do next for some time. Serenity wanted to leave right away since the day was still relatively young. Selena, Draxzel, and Levi all protested her decision, and with good reason.

 Not only did Selena need more time to recover, but Draxzel had a very specific route that they had to take, and they needed to start much earlier in the day than it was. The Gorgons had pre-scouted safe spots that doubled as safe break areas, and markers to get to Nereus' Cradle.

 Following their mapped path cut down on lives lost, and made sure that those using it were back within a specific timeframe. Anyone arriving past the usual return time weren't expected to return at all..

 "But it rarely happens now that the path is marked," Draxzel stated as he finished explaining their general route.

 "Between me and Levi, we shouldn't need to worry about safety," Serenity debated.
