Chapter 2: The Amazon Forest
The Serpents of Doom found a note that left everyone startled, it stated, "Three levels, three deaths, three murders." Before turning to ashes. "What did it mean Rose?" Inquired perplexed Emma. "They don't really mean it, no it can't be, being a part of this was the biggest mistake of my life." Muttered Rose to herself but was heard by Tom who instantly queried her, "What can't be, which mistake, what are talking about?" "I will tell you but promise me you will stay calm and together." Instructed Rose. "We assure you; we won't put the wind up." They all assured simultaneously. Rose took a deep breath and started, "Well, we just joined this game because we all yearn twenty-nine million dollars and when we got the opportunity, we didn't stand a chance to let it get out of hand and hastily scurried here to this old mill. But we should have known that the competition has been organized by someone very deceitful and clever as a fox, as he trapped us here and that phrase meant that there are three levels and to get ahead we have to murder our team mates or each of us have to sacrifice ourselves. As there are three stages and four of us so only one will survive." All the other team mates were gazing at Rose like a hawk, their faces were as white as snow and their eyes looked as though they were about to pop out. They all were shuddering and the thought of dying was giving them goose bumps. Finally Jake spoke breaking the silence, "Die or let die. I don't want to die I am too young for this, please save me." Emma annoyingly thumped her foot on the ground and bawled, "I am so done with this, I am leaving." "I am sorry Emma but you can't leave, remember what the voice barked,
The only catch is that once you enter you can't leave
The last key is what you need to achieve."
Repeated Rose trying to refresh her memory. Tom's tranquil behavior did put others into a strange commotion, but he did spoke and the only thing he said was, "Let's be together."
They held hands and mutually decided not to kill any member of the team. They collaboratively took a step forward, but neglected the danger that was heading towards them at a very rapid pace. Out of the blue, Rose started yelling, "We are in the woods, an anaconda is heading our way." And surely, it appeared from among the trees, camouflaged, hissing showing its dagger like teeth ready to gobble up, venom dripping down its noxious tongue. Snake's immensely terrifying appearance appalled the friends to an extent where they lost their balance and stumbled down a fathomless chasm, but were luckily saved by a bough. At a stroke, there was a raucous screech, as Rose cried convulsively, seeing his body disappearing into darkness.
