Chapter 12: Chapter 11 The Wutai War and First Meeting
Walking out of the portal, I was greeted by the sight of the Wutai army trying to attack Junon. But, they all stopped when the see a tear in the space and I walk out of it.
"Uh, don't mind me. You can continue your siege." I said to them before looking around making them annoyed. Both Shinra and the Wutai.
"Who are you strangers! Are you one of Shinra goons? Disarmed yourself and come with me!" said one of the Wutai who looks like some kind of leader from his clothes.
"Sigh, do I look like a Shinra to you?" I said while showing an 'Are you stupid' looks at him.
"You are wasting my time, don't bother me!" I said dismissing him and looking around again before I find my target. "Found you!" I said with a smile as I see three people standing on the Cannon like things. Well, it's a cannon after all, a big ass cannon.
The Wutai captain seems to be annoyed by being ignored and he tried to attack me. "Don't ignore me!" he shouted while running my way which I just kick him out of the way.
"You're in the way!" I said before jumping toward the Mako Cannon at a fast speed surprising both sides of the army. While Angeal, Genesis, and Sephiroth just wait for me to arrived intrigue.
I let out my wing which looks like Sephiroth to slow down my speed until I stop and step in the middle of the Mako Cannon. Unlike Sephiroth one wing Angel, mine is complete as I have both sides of my wing one black one white. I let it that way, my preference and it look cool after all.
"Hello there, nice meeting you for the first time Brother!" I said looking at Sephiroth who was showing a surprised look before he sees the resemblance between us. Just different eyes and hair color and I cut my hair around shoulder length.
"Brother? You had a brother Sephiroth? And you are not telling us?" said Genesis in jest as also can see Sephiroth's surprised face.
"Its the first time I heard about it." he answers while looking at me with a frown.
"Not surprising, that shitstain Hojo took you from Mon right after our birth after all. Saying that you are a perfect SOLDIER or whatnot while me being a failure to be discarded." I said making him look pissed at that.
"So, my mother is alive? Who is she? And you, what is your purpose for coming here. I don't think you come for just meeting me." he asked me. At this time, both Angeal and Genesis just let us talk as they thought it was a family matter.
"Her name is Lucrecia Cresent, former Shinra scientists who left after she gave birth to us. She wants to meet you but the Shinra forbid any form of contact between the two of you. As for why I am here, I just want to meet my twin." I said with a smirk making Genesis laugh at Sephiroth and Angeal to smirk at my response.
"Well, while we are at it, why don't we dance for a bit." I say as I summon Yamato out making him raised an eyebrow.
"Hmph, let see if you really are my twins." he said while readying his Masamune.
"That's my line, let me see what the best Shinran can offers." I said before I suddenly appear between Angeal and Genesis while sheathing my sword drawing a few cuts on his clothes without harming him.
"You have to be faster if you want to match me brother." said with a smirk waking them up from a stupor.
"Heh, this brother of yours is interesting Sephiroth." said Genesis while creating a distance from me. "Want to join forces? He make me want to fight too," he said.
"Do as you wish." he answer while looking seriously at this twin brother of him. It was the first time that someone best him after all.
"Did you lie when you said Hojo deemed you a failure?" he asked.
"Huh, no I am not. But, in reality I am not. Ho Ho is a short scientist after all. So, him making a mistake is nothing new." I said with a shrug to which Sephiroth nodded. He can understand after all, he also thinks of Hojo as a sham of Scientists. So that answer is quite reasonable to him.
"I see, that I can agree," he said with a hint of a smile.
"Now, enough chitchat. You three come at me." I said while doing a come-on gesture.
"Hey Sephiroth, did he just taunted us?" asked Genesis in shock.
"Yes, he is! Before we fight, you haven't told us your name," said Angeal.
"Ahh, forgot about that, nice to meet you. My name is Luke Valentine, the one who will beat the top three Shinra SOLDIER. Ah, I know the name of the three of you so you don't have to introduce yourself" I said with a smirk and Genesis was the first to snap while Angeal twitches his lips as he was about to introduce himself and Sephiroth smile as this brother of his has quite a mouth. It can't be blamed on Luke though, after he get the Sparda Bloodline he start to take quite a few traits of his predecessor.
"That's it, he is your brother or not until I beat him to the ground, I'm not going to be satisfied!" said Genesis before he launched an attack.
After he swept his sword activating the runes on it then dashed from his spot, he arrives in front of me and slashes his sword downward. I block it and swerve it to the side. Not finishing, he continues with a Slash, Hacked and Thrust combos which I block every time.
As it happens, Angeal also look for an opportunity and when he sees me having a lock battles with Genesis. He sneaks from behind Genesis and slashes his sword upwards. Seeing this, I use Yamato Sheath to block his attack.
"Too light, you should use that big ass sword on your back if you want me to budge," I said as a kick him back before changing the grip on my sheath and thrust it toward Genesis's stomach before I block another attack from Sephiroth who decide to join.
"You are good! Facing the three of us and still have that much leisure," said Sephiroth as we continue exchanging attack and defense. While I was lock in combat with Sephiroth I feel the gather of Mana and sees Genesis is casting fireballs.
"Take this!" shouted Genesis as Sephiroth disengaged from me and put a distance.
"It's Useless!" I said and launch a Judgement Cut destroying all fireballs. I look at Genesis and uses Devil Bringer and pulled him back toward me.
"Get over here!" I said then whacked his face with Yamato that already Sheathed back on its Scabbard. He was launched off the Mako Cannon downward to where the war was still going on.
"Genesis!" shouted Angeal before he looks at me. He sheath his Shinra's standard sword before taking out his Buster Sword.
"Hooh, become serious are we?" I said getting excited. Because there were just a few instances that he uses that sword.
Angeal and Sephiroth come and start their onslaught on me. A little clumsy at first, but their coordination improves as the battles going on. Sephiroth start to raised his power up and up and it start to destroy the cannon little by little.
"Oi oi, are you going to be okay with Shinra for destroying their property?" I asked.
"Hmph, I can just told them we met with a strong opponent. So sacrifice is necessary." said Sephiroth.
"Well, your problem." I answer.
"Yeah, but. The amount of paperwork that comes with it is not welcome. So, let's change place." he said as his wings show up and he starts to fly.
"Aerial combat? I will take it!" I said as I also start to fly followed by Angeal.
The fight continues on and in the middle of it Genesis is back and it was now three on one and they start to work together.
The aftermath of our clash become bigger and bigger that it start to affect the war between Shinra and Wutai. Killing many unlucky fellows that get caught up in our clash. It was then they start to retreat as not to be caught in the aftermath of the fight between monsters.
"Hmmm, I think we have played enough. The war also comes to a halt." I said as I look at the trio who was in their last leg.
"Well then, till we meet later!" I said as I cut open space and go back home to Nibelheim leaving an exhausted trio.
"Aaarrggg, he was toying with us all this time. We don't even left a nick on his clothes." said Genesis as he punched the ground in frustration. Angela only nodded and stay silent while Sephiroth still look at the space where the portal used to be.
"Let's go back. The report we have to deal after this will be a headache." said Sephiroth as he turn back and walk away.
"Ugh, you are right." said Genesis while looking around seeing the destroyed landscape with the corpses of Shinra soldier and Wutai warrior strewn around.
Angela did not talk and silently follow Sephiroth back to the base.
