Chapter 26: Ironman 2 pt 2

Fury's office...

3rd POV

"So you are telling me you have no way to access his home unless you become his live-in secretary?" Fury asked Natasha on the phone.

"Correct, Sir. I would be okay with it, although he hasn't said yes to it yet. It was mentioned by Tony, and Andy seemed to brush it off. I can bring it up again if you like, but I will have no access to any form of electronics unless he allows me to. I even tried to take pictures, but they were gone as soon as I left his house. This brings me to another point. I believe he has an AI like Tony's Jarvis. Tony called it Alice, and it looked like Andy was quite irritated at Tony when he said something about it." Natasha said

"Two of the most intelligent men in the world under the same roof. How were you even able to stand up straight, Natasha. *Sigh* Do what you must. I hate that you need to go dark to infiltrate, but if this is all we can do now, that is okay. It shouldn't take too long until he either knows of Shield, or you no longer need to be there, and we can have someone just posted in the lobby to keep watch after all of that." Fury said, a little irritated at this whole ordeal. 'Honestly, why must the man be so hard to even get in touch with, let alone watch over.' Fury thought

"Very well, Sir. I will do my best to try and get inside. Anything else?" Natasha asked over the phone.

"Yeah, be careful. We still don't know a lot about this guy other than Stark likes him. I trust Stark just as much as Sitwell is good at his job." Fury said

"Very well, Sir," Natasha said as she hung up the phone.

"Jesus, this week seems to be a lot of fucking work, and I am not even in the field." Fury said out loud, silently hoping something good comes out of all this. 'Babysitting an adult and trying to stalk a kid. What has this world come to?' Fury thought

Tony's house...

Andy POV

Coming down into Tony's Workspace for the second time, again, I am stunned. The sheer number of toys and different types of equipment in here is baffling. I mean, I know we both work in separate fields, and so we use other tools, but still being here in person is unreal. Especially when I finally get a good look around.

" So kid, here we have all my father's old junk. I was told by Agent Coulson up there that there should be some form of help in all of this..." He says as he waves his hand around the boxes and model city before us. "I wouldn't even know where to start, but starting sounds like a good idea. Look for anything about the Arc Reactor or anything about metals that we have yet to discover. That's as good a place as any."

"Well, here goes nothing. Jarvis, scan this model and see if you and Alice can see anything we can't." I told Jarvis as I put the model on one of Tony's desks.

"Yes, Sir, Jarvis says, and a holographic version of the model appears on another desk.

"Did Jarvis just call me Sir?" I ask as I turn to Tony. "Does it mean we are related if both our AI's get together?"

"Don't push your luck. I know it's one of your dreams to be on my level, but you got a ways to go." Tony said as he looked through a book.

"Yeah, you may be correct, but you can't really get any better cause of your age, while I can still get smarter." I quip as I, too, start digging through a box.

"Nonsense. The brain is always getting smarter. You have to train it." Tony said

"True, but yours seems to be failing you. Why else would you refuse to let me take that contraption out of your body?" I said, eyeing him slightly and seeing that he furrowed his eyebrows, lost in thought.

The next few hours go by slowly. Who would have ever imagined going through outdated scientific research was so dull. Well, I did, but I am not going to complain about it. I am here only to help Tony. Honestly, in a lot of Fics I have read, Tony gets misinterpreted most of the time. He is a dick, don't get me wrong, but he is also very caring for those he deems family. Potts, Happy, Spiderman, and hell, even Jarvis. He clashes a lot with those he can't relate to or those with mentalities like his. It's like putting a Scorpio with a Gemini. Nothing is going to go right.

"Jarvis, Alice, have you guys found anything?" I ask after putting down the last notebook and standing up.

"Nothing out of the ordinary, Sir," Jarvis says almost immediately.

"Well, the model looks like the reactor on Tony's chest," Alice states as if she was projecting her thoughts. This is weird in an AI because this is an emotion that some humans can't even do.

"Show me," Tony said, and the image of the model city swivels so it is perpendicular to us. We are now looking down on the city itself.

'Honestly, I wanted Tony to figure this out. I was not expecting Alice actually to come up with this.' I thought as she started getting rid of the plants and scenery. Once done, Tony took it a step further and started getting rid of more crap around the middle. Once done, we were looking at the Nucleus of a new element. This was his Baddasium that he tried to patent but never ended up being able to do.

Starting to build the Particle accelerator was new to me. Who knew putting a shit ton of magnets to fire billions of subatomic particles into the anti-form at the speed of light to create a big bang would be so fun. I honestly learned a lot and was looking for a way this could help in my medical research. Billions of positrons were pulsing through this circle of high-density magnets, creating their own charge. Just the electricity alone would power his whole Stark building, and he will put all of that in a miniature reactor and into his chest. 'God, I really hope he goes through the surgery so he doesn't become a walking nuclear bomb. If I hated Tony and wanted him dead and the city around him, I would shoot his reactor, and the implosion itself would wipe everything out.' I thought while shaking my head as we finalize everything and Potts comes down.

"Perfect, grab that shield and bring it over to me." He told Potts as she came in, and she grabbed the shield he was pointing to.

"What are you boys doing down here?" Pepper asked as she looked to me for an answer, which I just shrugged off.

"We are making a new element to fix Tony's old contraption he has in his chest," I said to her as she raised an eyebrow.

"I didn't know creating new elements was something done in one night." She said as if none of this were truly believable.

"Most of the work was done. All we had to do was create a particle accelerator to finish what was started. My old man was a genius." Tony said after fitting the shield and leveling out everything out. "Jarvis, how are we looking, buddy?"

"Everything seems to be nominal, Sir," Jarvis said in his usual butler style. Although, I feel him slipping more and more. Alice has been corrupting him. I know it.

"Let's start this bad boy up," Tony says as he approaches the turning wheel that will control the particle beam.

"Initializing prismatic accelerator," Jarvis says, "Approaching maximum power."

Tony starts the turn the wheel, and a beam of pure destruction starts decimating his underground workshop. Once the beam hit the center and started to solidify, he spoke up. "Well, that was easy."

"Congratulations, Sir. You have created a new element." Jarvis spoke up.

I shook my head as I realized he used a Vibranium shield to create Vibranium. 'How ironic.' I thought but didn't say anything out loud because I knew he would throw a temper tantrum at the fact. It was pretty badass to watch, though.

"This will be called Baddasium," Tony said, holding up the new element.

"Not sure anyone is going to allow you to name it that Tony," I remark

"I created it. I can name it whatever I choose. Anyways, let's get to work creating a new arc reactor for this guy." he said, and I raise my eyebrow at him. "What?"

"You are actually going to let someone else watch you build your arc reactor?" I asked but still knew the answer.

"You are right. Get out. Thanks for the help, but you are no longer needed anymore. However, I may steal a few ideas for the reactor from your patents. Even the ones that haven't gone public yet. Like the window formula. Perhaps the conductors you used on the incubator as well to make the power move around smoother." Tony said, and I walk towards the door and wave my hand above me, telling him to do whatever he wants.

'Honestly, anything he puts in his reactor will never go public, so I don't really have a reason to care that much.' I thought as I head upstairs.
