Perseus rubbed his sweaty hands with powdered chalk that was placed in large bowls by stage, and proceeded up.
He and his opponent saluted each other, took their battle stances, and waited for the start signal.
His opponent had small build , sharp eyes and long ears from the looks of it he can see that he is a agility type .
When enrolling into the army there will be 3 different class agility , strength, A.S , A.S is a special class they will be trained for both aigility and strength , there were only 2000 solidiers had this class, as for perseus he was strength type user .
He is on absolute disadvantage because even a agility type solider has low strength they can simply dodge all the attacks of the opponent and finally knock out him , even A.S class soliders only rely on this trick compared to using their strength few expectants were always present .

The showdown was simple it was only 12 minutes spar , at end of the match who had more points will be announced as the winner or you have to knock out your opponent to unconsicious state. it was pretty much similar to boxing .
He had only way that is to knock out the opponent naturally the ely can deliver more punches compared to him and gain more point easily .
"Begin" an invigilator yelled.
Instantly, both of them ran towards each other as they began their attacks. As he expected the oppenent landed more punches on him though it was not gave much impact on his body he had fall behind on the comparision of points .
His opponent immediately slid on the floor expectantly, and tripped him down.
'Bang!!'
As he fell, his opponent quickly rolled away, stood up and gave two punches on his face .
His acted quickly and shorten the distant between them opponent was relaxed and didn't had time to react he thought it will take few minutes for him to stand up he didn't know that perseus was a poridgy .The punch landed on his face shattering his mana barrier just as he was about to react a clean sweep landed on his right side of his neck he was immediatly knocked out unconsicously .
Everyone standing at the side can't believe it it all happened in 8 seconds , this was the advantage of strength type user .
Next match started ...
He went to receive replenish potion it was created by alchemy department it can restore stamina , cure 20% of health and restore your MP it was give to the candidates who proceeded to next stage ,as they have to go thorough many rounds in a day, both opponents should stand on equal terms .

The exam progressed and finally, it was the end of another beautiful day for Andrew ... And the end of first day of showdown.
He was not much tired as he was only sitting in his chair and walking through rings from time to time .

At the end of the second day only 6 candidates were standing out of course
Perseus was also there.
Andrew hoped that all the days can be relaxing as the past 2 days but there is no way that could happen.
Next day
Perseus entered the ring he was pretty clam after going through several matches he became experienced .
He glanced at the opponent he was a A.S class he had sturdy and well layered mana barrier he was not like the pervious A.S class
soliders he faced the opponent was clearly
stronger.
" beep... " as soon as instructor gave the signal.
Perseus rushed towards him and landed a heavy punch on his face but it was like hitting a rock his punch cracked the manager barrier
and barely touched his skin it doesn't caused much impact on the opponent he quickly retreated to the center.
The opponent started to ran in a circle around
Perseus from time to time he will give punches it didn't even cracked the barrier but gave a lot of points to him.
" pow... Puch... "
On the other hand even though Perseus can see his actions he can't react in time.
He decided to wait till the lost minute until the opponents energy is drained he started to pretend as he was losing energy.
As expected the last minute arrived the opponent was pretty tiered and his speed
also dropped down.
Perseus was also pretending to be tired ...
" Whoosh... Po.... Pow... Thud... "
Suddenly Perseus rushed towards the opponent perfectly grabbed his neck and delivered a heavy weight punch which shattered the mana barrier and caused nose bleed for the opponent without giving him time to recover he knocked him.
This all happened very fast finally the
quarter - final ended.
In the Semi finals Perseus didn't even lasted a minute. He needed at 2-3 years of training and and many battle experience to defeat this type of opponents.
The winner of 3-day program was awarded with a S grade beast crux.
Perseus effort didn't go waste he successful joined commander Charles's unit in addition to that he also gained a Big grade beast crux.
The soliders were motivated to work hard and win the award next time.
This is exactly what Andrew wanted his small program has ended well.
