Chapter 3: He saved my life
Izuki's POV
Im on my way home. Luckily for me they didn't follow me, and by they I mean Ken Yamamoto and his bodyguards. To be honest I didn't know how to process what just happened but I decided to ignore it, it will be forgotten tomorrow right? I'm sure he'll act like nothing happened. I'll act like nothing unusual happened to me today. It's probably nothing. Right?
I'll just stop a little bit at the market to buy my stocks for the week. Ugh, who am I fooling? he's been in my head since I left school. I just can't stop thinking about him. Why would a guy like him like me? Is he crazy?! No. he's probably trying to kill me! And to top it all, I clearly am a man! Just what was that guy thinking! Damn, this is literally giving me headaches. Kids these days. They are really hard to understand. I shook my head as if I can shake my thoughts away.
"What a day.." I let out a sigh as I walk down the street.
"Hey you!"
What? Did someone just called me? I turned to see who called just to see a bunch of gangsters looking at me and in an instant I was surrounded, I gulped when I saw they have knives in their hands, I think I'm sweating right now, why of all people! Not again. Why is this happening to me all day? I'm just an ordinary man, trying to survive and live. Why is this all starting to happen to me?
"Wait---what---" two of them grabbed my hands and shoulders. This is the worst! Somebody help me. "What do you want?" I managed to ask.
"Now, now, don't be scared, we just really need money," I think its the leader that spoke. He said with an evil smirk on his face, they all followed and I can see them smirked creepily, god I'm starting to hate their faces. Although I'm really really scared right now.
"Just give us your money, and we won't have a problem, although we can enjoy a little bit too." He smirked again.
I gulped again, there's no way, over my dead body.
"I-I really don't have money with me right now. Please just let me go." I just spent my money on my stocks. I just bring money exactly how much i needed, I'm saving it normally in the bank so I don't carry much cash with me. And nowadays you can pay online or by cards with your groceries so I literally don't have anything with me right now. I'm dead. I'm so dead!
"What?! We know you're a teacher at Yamamoto's Academy! Give us your money! God damn it!" Another man just shouted at me.
"I'm telling the truth! Please! I don't have---Ah!"
The guy just punched me! Oh my God! I think I broke my nose and its bleeding, why do I have to be so weak.
"Hurry search him!" the leader shouted again.
"I'm tell----Ah!"
Another guy just punched me on my stomach. My vision is getting blurry. They all started kicking me and punching me, soon I was on the ground crouching on my stomach.
"What the fuck?! Who are you?!" I heard the one who just punched me spoke.
Huh? Someone just came.. Thank god.. What? He's alone? How tmdoes he plan on helping me, I think I'm going to faint anytime soon, my head and stomach really hurts.
"Please help me--- Ahw.." I tried to speak but my mouth hurts.
"Who are you---Shit! A Yamamoto! Hurry!"
Huh? What were they saying? They all started to walk towards the man, I cant see his face clearly. I was still lying on the ground.
"You're all going to die."
Wait.. his voice..
Ken..
And then all went black.
Flashback (Izuki's Dream)
I just got out of the hospital when I saw a little kid, sitting in the corner of the park, near the bench that I always sat on, he wasn't crying or anything, he was just staring at the raindrops, he doesn't care of the people passing by looking at him. And then I smiled, I remembered myself doing the same thing when I was a child, I just wanted to feel the rain, I feel like its suffocating to stay inside, if I go out in the rain it feels like I can breath again...
"What are you doing here on the rain alone?"I asked the kid.
The child just stared at me with his innocent eyes. I smiled at him. I gave him my umbrella, even though I only have one. It's quite raining.
"Here, you can take it, don't just stay there, even if it feels suffocating inside, you'll get sick staying out like this in the rain, you'll catch a cold."
The boy stared at me but took my umbrella after a moment and smiled at me. I smiled back.
"I need to go, but don't stay out like this in the rain again. You can bring umbrella that umbrella with you, okay? I'm going now." I smiled at him one last time before leaving.
I hurriedly turn back to go to the hospital.
"Izuki-san!"
Huh? Someone is calling me...
That voice... Ken?
"Why are you here?"
"Izuki-sensei.."
"Ha!" I suddenly openned my eyes.
It was a dream... No it was a memory before my mother died. Just then I realized I was in my apartment... What just happened? My head hurts like hell, my body aches too.. oh yes I remembered I was being beaten on the streets and then someone came to save me... Ken! It was... Ken... Wait I can't remember how did I got here. I looked around and nobody was here. I was alone in my apartment. I'm pretty sure it was him who saved me. I think I'll just have to ask him later..
Geez... What time is it now?
What?! It's morning already!
I over slept!
This is the worst, I think I'm having a fever, my whole body aches. I texted the principal that I will not be able to go to work today, forget everything, I need at least a week to rest. Sometimes I hate my body for being too weak for a guy, *sigh*..
