Chapter 171: The Beginning

It's been 43,797 hours, 180 minutes, 48 seconds, Megan had disappeared from my life, each second I count, each minute I count, each hour I count, each day I count, and each year I count... It's been 5 years today, we are divorced for the world, but for me, she's still my same old little goblin, my little minion, and my wife, which can't be changed by anyone... It was my mistake to let her leave the civil bureau on that day before I confront her... I have travelled almost more than 100 times to N city in the last few years, to find out where she is... But I gave up when Mr Felix requested to let Megan go because She didn't want to meet me for any reason.
It's been 2 years since I even stopped visiting Mr Felix and Mrs Felix, to find out where Megan was, if fate still holds us together, I will meet her one day before I am dead... I love her more each second pass, I am Daniel Reid, "CEO of S&S Corporation", for the past three years, and I have my own business consultancy "DM Enterprises " for which I am Founder and President, I am really a busy man now... Have very little time for my personal life... As if I have one, when I was thinking, Eric my PA came in, he was a hacker himself, but couldn't find where Megan had gone, we found a few years ago, that she calls Mr Cole, few times every year, to check on her shares, and the turn over of the year, and the mansion maintenance, but we were not able to track the call as it was a satellite call, it was from the phone that Megan had bought illegally before she left.
"Boss, the meeting is at 11 am, the CEO of the resort is coming this time, with his partner and assistant, for the first time"
"Any ddetails about the CEO of the Resort, what are other businesses he does...his family, personal life"
"Nothing... Boss"

" I don't know Boss, this is the first time the CEO is coming for the meeting because we are in the first 10 companies in the world, or it's only her Partner, Mr Christine, that attend all type of meetings, and social gatherings "

I didn't question anything more but checked on it, when Mr Cole, said, Megan has put a few payments on automatic, like pay salary for Aunt Cathy, and a few more... So we lost the lead again, as I thought, I got up and walked out to my car, I have not changed my car... I have the same Uncle Felix's car, the black Bentley,
I and Eric drove to the K city Hotel, for the meeting, it was already time for the meeting, in the conference room, when I walked in, a familiar back welcomed me, is it true...or I am dreaming, is the person sitting....was she Megan.... am I having illusions, as I thought I walked to the diagonally opposite seat of the lady who sat in the CEO seat,
Megan sat there in a black business suit, with her long hair tied into a bun, with no hairs hanging, as she usually used to do, her face looked very much different from my little goblin, which used to be cute, innocent, and always smiling, but this Megan had a stern face, with no smile, her emotionless face said hundreds of stories, of what she as gone through all these years, She sat there like a queen, ordering people around her, checking the files, typing something on her laptop, but didn't even glance at me once.
Mr Sol, wanted to build a Resort in K city and A city, this group of resorts, were very famous in west and few cities in east... The interesting thing was not even a single photo of the Resort was not on the Internet or anywhere to be found, it's only the entrance of the resort was on Display on all sites, the logo was... A guy riding a girl on his bike, while the girls hair flying back for the breeze, it reminded me of taking Megan on my bike, that was also a reason, I agreed to deal with them, I also liked their proposal, the most that draw my curiosity was its name,
"The Beginning"
that's why we set a meeting to discuss further details, but to my surprise, I was not hallucinating, but now it was very clear it was Megan Felix who sat in front of me, The CEO...

It's been five years, since I have left K city, leaving behind all I had, but I grow up to be strong, found new friends, build my own business empire, now I stand at the top of the hotel and resort business when S&S wanted to do business with us, I asked Christian my partner, to check, if anybody with the name Daniel Reid works, but it only showed, on Internet, that Mr Sol was the chairman, while Mr Sol's successor, became as CEO, but his details were completely blocked on Internet, and no person named Daniel Reid worked, I like stupid came here thinking, Daniel was no more in this company, to see him as the CEO, for which I was not at all prepared...
I sat in my seat while speaking with Christine about the business deal, this was the first meeting I am attending in the past two and half years, I never attend any meetings and social gatherings, many don't even know I am the founder and CEO of The Beginning, while my assistant was Crystal.
Christian and Crystal were twins, I met them in my first year, of university, they were of my age, but missed a year, like me, we became friends when Crystal didn't get a room in the dome, and no one was ready to share the room with her, Christian was worried about his sister, and their were not able to effort a private hostel or rent an apartment, when I sat alone on the first day, in the canteen, heard them talking with each other. I turned and said,
"Hi, I am Megan Felix, I heard your problem, if you don't mind, I can I help you"
" what's that you can do, you think..."
Christian asked, He was frustrated, I can see it in his tone, while he said,
"What can we do Crystal, that what we deserve to be born in a poor family, last year we had no money to join university, now we some how managed, and there is no room, for you..."
Crystal started to cry, when I again said,
"Can you both please listen to me"
I was a bit stern this time, both of them looked at me in amazement, then I continued...
"Do you have a room for you in the dorm, your name..."
"My name is Christian, and this is my sister Crystal, yes I have somehow managed to get a shared room, but those girls in dome are not kind enough to take my sister in for sharing "
"Oh ok, now both listen, I have a two-bedroom apartment, at a walkable distance from University, and I live alone, if you both don't have any problem, Crystal can stay with me..."
Christian and Crystal, looked at me and said
" Are you trying to mess our lives"
I laughed at the question, thinking, I am already messed up a lot, and they are worried, I will mess with them, I smiled and said,
" you can decide and take a call, this is my card, so call if your both are coming, so I can cook even for you both "
After saying that I walked away, somewhat I liked them both, as soon I saw, in was already missing my friends, my family, and Daniel, I needed someone to be with, at around eight pm, my house doorbell rang, when I opened it, I saw Christian and Crystal, standing at my door, while Christian carrying a bag in his hand... I invited them in, and after few minutes, Christian left Crystal in my house and went... That's how we became friends, and finally so close, that I took Christian as my working partner, while Crystal was my PA because she was from the Business studies major, very good at all the office work, and main was her incredible computer talent... Now we are a team
As I was in my thoughts, the voice that bought me back to the present, when Christian stood up for the presentation,
"Can your Madam do the presentation..."
Daniel asked with a sneer when Christian said
"Does in your K city, CEO of the company do the presentation, please can.... "
Before Christian say anything more, interpreted, and said,
"It's ok Chris, I will do it... It's our first time here, it is good if I explain about our resort"
Christine nodded and gave the pen drive to me,
" Good luck Megan"
while I stood up, and walked passing Daniel, to the AV, then I started to explain the features of my Resort, hotels to everyone, and also said, all my hotel's and resorts were in the same design, and the facilities were of the world-class, whether it was the theme park or the stay... All that was super exciting... When I finished, Daniel looked at me and asked,
"Miss Felix, How do you say all this, without any PPT, how will we have any idea, how your resort looks except your entrance"
I smiled, and answered
" Mr Reid, you have to visit my B city resort to understand, how good is my Resort, you can come with your family, I can give you a VIP accommodation to stay with your family"
As I said, I walked to my seat, and sat next to Christine, and whispered that it was Daniel Reid, when Christian looked at me in surprise, I nodded and said, not to talk anything with him, he understood what I said, then Crystal came from the washroom, and sat to my right, then discussed few things, and I closed my laptop, and stood up to leave, with Christine and Crystal, when Eric walked to me and asked
"Madam, how are you, it's so nice to see you again"
" It's nice to see you, Eric, how are you"
"I'm good, madam "
"Ok, Eric I will meet you in B city in two days, bye for now"
I wanted to ask, Eric about Daniel, but thought, it was not necessary, if he was already married to Becka, and had kids, my come back only affect his happy life, for which I left him, thinking about that, I turned, to walk out while, Christine came to me held my hand, and took my bag from me, I gave my bag to him and walked out, while Crystal, drove our car, to the hotel entrance, after having dinner in my favourite restaurant, we went to Sunrise resort apartment, where Aunt Cathy waited for us, after five years, entering my house... my memories with Daniel flooded into me, making me to suffocate.
When I walked to my room, which was the same as I left five years ago, aunt Cathy, had maintained my house very well, I walked to the side table, pulled the remote for the hot spring, and went there, undressed, walked in and soaked myself, in the hot waves, I didn't know what time it was, till Crystal, came and woke me up, I got out and took a bath, came to common room balcony, stood there, looking at the sky, when Christian, came with two glass of red wine.
