Chapter 2: Chapter 1 Reunion
THE MAIN CHARACTER WHO IS PRESENTLY A PRE-SCHOOLER LOOKS BEATEN UP WITH ANOTHER KID ON THE GROUND BESIDE HIM
It hurts, what a bunch of jerks beating up kids, Taichi isn't moving anymore..... i wanna run, but I can't just leave him and if i don't do something, they will kill Haru..... s-stop!!. I Said Stopp!!!
HE REACHES OUT HIS ARMS TO A BUNCH OF HIGHSCHOOL BULLIES INFRONT.
WOKEN UP BY THE ALARM
Ugh!. That dream again...
Summer break is about to end, i want to reach the top of the leaderboards before that.
Its still dark, i still have plenty of time for my work out, then after breakfast ill continue to push the leaderboards.
I spend the whole day playing games again till my mom unplug my PC , it was a pleasant evening at the country side, the sun setting , the insects chirping and i was laying on the living room enjoying all of it.
Duriing which someone rang our door, mom was busy with cooking so i went , and out the door was a women in an office suit, she was an elderly women and seemed to be a strict teacher with lots of attitude. I thought we were gonna get scammed but
she asked if my mom was at home, i called for my mom and it turns out she was an old acquaintance of my mom who had some business nearby and came to visit.
My mom asked her to join us for dinner to which she doesn't resist, even dad recognised her at the dinner and talk a lot.
After the meal , the women and my parents had a long conversation, while i was up my room.
She asked my dad, " why don't you enroll your son to UA?", dad agrees to it just like that.
I was called to come down.
Mom than introduces me to the women "this is Mokoto sensei, she and i used to be class mate, she is currently working as a teacher in UA ( hah! suits her) , and we thought you should enroll to it".
Dad adds," i know its sudden, but Mokoto sensei is about to leave tomorrow, so you need to go with her if you want to enroll this year".
There was no forcing in their words, yet they were not asking either. It was as if they already know my answer.
UA is a hero institution in which Class A and B consist of candidates for hero job, there are lots of students with amazing quirk and mind trying to be the strongest hero, so damn right! i wanna enroll.
But now?, im on a summer break, I am currently attending school, is it really okay?.
And beside , getting into UA is hard and there is even an entrance exam that test both student's mental and physical capabilities.
I was confused at how i would be able to get in just like that, yhe women explains to me that there is currently an empty seat at UA first year, and there aren't any candidates mid year.
Sure but, did she has to explain like it was a spy mission?
But with that cleared, i agree to enroll, infact, i was so hyped about it, but i don't wanna show it .
The entrance exam was really hard, so the students that got through it must be quite strong, and im about to join them.
Mokoto sensei have left.
"Son, go pack your clothes and other things, your leaving tomorrow evening"
"And no games" mom adds.
But i haven't reached the top yet, i needed to be at the top.
Actually games and pets are not allowed in the UA facility, so there was no point in arguing.
THE NEXT MORNING
"Rin! wake up, your gonna leave for UA today"
"But im only gonna leave this evening"
"I know, but your gonna leave today, why don't you go visit the neighbours and your friends , and maybe take a stroll? Your gonna be at UA for a while you know"
" Yeah, ill play games and push the leaderboard one last time.."
"Sigh... all you care about is your games, but its your choice, you won't be playing for a long time."
She said it annoyingly, but smiled a little, she doesn't mind, she knows i have no bond with anything outside our house, she is just playing her mother role a bit.
Okay, ill try to be number one on the leaderboard today.
The train leaves at night fall, Mokoto sensei will pick me up for it .
Before that, i'll have to beat the leaderboards, thats all the time i have, i can skip everything else today.
THE SUN WAS SETTING, AND THE SUN-LIGHT ON RIN'S ROOM WAS GETTING DULL.
INSECTS COULD BE HEARD CHIRPING AGAIN.
AMONG THE EMPTY CANS AND PACKETS WAS RIN INFRONT HIS COMPUTER, BUT HIS HAND WAS NO LONGER ON THE KEYBOARD
"Rin!! Mokoto sensei is here!"
"Okay im comming!"
AS RIN TOOK MOVED AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER
THE SCREEN DISPLAYED A NUMBER OF NAMES IN ORDER
WITH THE NAME Fera/Rin735 AT THE TOP
" Are you ready?"
"I am mom"
"Okay if you have any problems just call us"
" Okay Rin , the train is gonna leave in a few minutes, grab you things and lets go."
"Right sensei!."
AS THEY WALKED OUT THE DOOR RIN'S MOTHER AND FATHER WATCH THEIR SON
" Are you sure thats what he wants, dear?, its all too sudden"
"He's my son , im sure thats what he wants, and he is no lazy kid, infact, im sure that kid already has his whole future planned out."
" Okay, ill go clean his room, its propably a whole mess"
AS RIN'S MOTHER WAS CLEANING THE ROOM, FROM THE TABLE A FLIER FELL DOWN ADVERTISING ABOUT UA
" Hmm, maybe his father is right"
ALONG THE ROAD-
"Say Hayamato-kun, is it really okay when things are all so sudden?"
" Its fine, i planned to enroll next year anyway"
"Thats good, but things are gonna be different, your gonna have to work a lot harder"
"I know sensei"
MOKOTO SENSEI LOOKS AT RIN'S UNWAVERING EXPRESSIONS AND WAS SURPRISED
Mokoto's POV-
According to the police records he has a very powerful quirk, so he has the potential, and according to his parents, he has an interest in strenghtening himself, but will he be a hero , or end up as a villain, like before....
"Say Hayamoto-kun, why do you wanna be a hero?
Do you wanna save people? Or is it the fame and the money"
"Neither sensei"
"Then why?"
"I wanna be the strongest amongs the heroes, but the money will also be useful too"
MOKOTO SHRUG'S
" I see, than UA is the right place for you"
AFTER REACHING UA, RIN WAS TAKEN TO HIS DORM
Mokoto sensei said i can still spend the next day as i want, maybe i should go out the facility and explore Tokyo a bit.
Sigh... im tired, gonna sleep first.
Hope i don't get that dream again, im sick of it.
I spent the day outside the facility and visit some stores, i bought some stuff for my dorm.
Before i knew it the day was already over, tomorrow i was gonna start my new life as a UA student.
It was nigh-time and i was getting to bed, than soneone knocked at my door.
I opended to see a boy my age , he has a blond hair with an excited look on his face.
"Rin!! , is that you? Its you right!?"
He seems familiar, i think I've met him before.
" Do i know you?"
" Its me Taichi! We used to play together when we were kids remember?
I saw you today from class, i knew it was you!"
Taichi Yoshito a lively boy with a playful nature.
His quirk, wind manipulation.
Taichi is a lively boy, since childhood he has always wanted to become a hero.
Even as kids he was already a strong quirk user, which we used to get in troubles with due to his idiotry.
But even though he is stupid, he's always a friend, maybe thats the reason i can tolerate his stupidness.
"Ahh.. It's been a long time Taichi, come in"
"Hey Rin! why did you enroll mid year? I didn't know you can do that"
"Well Mokoto sensei told me there was an empty seat at UA and asked if i wanna join so i just did.
Wait, we were at the same class how did you get one year ahead of me?"
" Last year i got a recommendation from UA , so i skipped a year and enrolled right away. They said i had a strong quirk and wanted me to join UA "
He had a proud face as he said that, heh, like when we were kids and he was showing off his quirk to everyone.
"Wow , you must be really strong now"
"Ofcourse i am!! I gonna be the number one hero after all!!"
Hah, there it is, still wants to be a hero even after all these years.
" And, i want to be , strongest hero there ever was."
Hmm?, thats new .
His quirk was already powerful than average when he was a kid, and he was recommended by UA itself to join them.
How strong has Taichi become, i won't be surprised if he became the number one hero before me now.
Taichi's face turned a bit sad, and with a change in tone of voice.
"Say Rin, why did you moved away? Its because of that night isn't it? . I-"
There was a knocking at my door again.
I don't remember having another childhood friend....
Outside my door was Mokoto sensei.
She haven't even said a word but saw Taichi inside.
"Taichi, you know the rules. What are you doing here at this time?.."
She seemed annoyed than angry.
Taichi sprunged up and answered
"Just a friendly reunion!! Sir!"
Really dude? sir?
" Sigh... get to your dorm"
" Yes sensei!"
Taichi rushed out the door.
Now im left with a strict ass teaches whose quirk is propably making student's life miserable.
"Umm.. sensei , why are you here?"
"Uh yes, you'll be starting class tomorrow, and since it's a tight arrangement, your gonna have to come up with a costume design and name before the weekend. Usually students are told to prepare it before the entrance exam, but your gonna need ot soon, submit them to me as soon as possible.
And here are your uniforms"
"Oh thanks sensei"
"Do you have any question?"
"Actually yes"
"What is it?"
"Well, UA is a very popular academy with high competitions, getting in is a hard task.
So how is there an empty seat , and why was i the one to fill it?"
"A few weeks ago a student got hurt in a practical session, his wound was not life threatening, but he quit the academy saying its too dangerous.
Since it was mid year, there isn't any students that doesn't go to school.
Now i know you were attending school too, but, since your mom is a retired Pro hero and you dad works in the hero accociation, as their child i though it was most suited to give you the opportunity.
Okay enough with the questions, you should sleep now."
"Okay sensei"
Mokoto sensei leaves the room, and i went to bed.
But before falling asleep, i thought about before, what was Taichi gonna say about that night.
I haven't seen him since then, he is propably really sad about it too.
THAT NIGHT, RIN HAD THE SAME DREAM AGAIN.
"S-top! Stop it!!! I said stop!!"
"Or what?, your a pathetic little worm!
Just shut up and watch as we have fun with your little furry friend here"
Darn it!! if only i was as strong as Taichi atleast! No, I can't rely on Taichi all the time!.
RIN PICK HIMSELF UP AND RAN TOWARDS THE BULLIES TO SAVE THE KITTEN.
"Leave Haru alone!!"
BUT TO NO AVAIL
RIN GOT HIT ON THE FACE AND FELL TO THE GROUND.
"Hey its not moving anymore. Maybe its dead"
"Huh?!? how pathetic i only kicked it a few times, just like these worms"
RIN WATCHED THE KITTEN LAY MOTIONLESS
DESPAIR WAS WRITTEN ALL OVER THE BOY'S FACE
WOKEN UP AGAIN BY THE ALARM
That dream again, or should i call it a memory.
I can't remember what happened next, after that, i woke up at a hospital but i didn't have any wounds.
Whatever it is, the feeling of weakness i felt that time still haven't left me.
That feeling ofdespair, i hate my body for being so weak.
But from now on, i won't be as weak!
Ill be the strongest amongs the stongest!!
And such things will never happen on my watch ever again!!
LATER THAT DAY
"Okay class we have a new student that will be joining us, Rin, come in"
"My name is Rin Hayamato, i hope to get along with you all."
