Chapter 7: Part 7 : Levi
I looked at a boy who looked around my age. He has platinum blonde hair, green eyes, a strong jaw, and freckles on him that looked...cute.
He's cute.
What's this feeling?
Oh no! This is a nightmare!
Am I crushing?
"Kosair! This girl, Coraline, just adopted Pluto and named him Bruno. How COINCIDENTAL." She looked at her son like there's something that he should know.
Her son, Kosair, just walked up to us and petted Bruno. "Looks like you're in good hands, buddy." He said and looked at me with a smile.
I just...looked at him.
I could've said hi?
I don't know what to do!
I raised my hand to say hi but he already turned around and walked out the door.
In the corner of my eye, I know that Olivia saw this.
I looked down at Brunid and hugged him out of awkwardness. "Hug away my misery, Bruno."

We were about to leave and both my aunts were in the car when I was called back by miss Olivia.
"Caroline, come here. I need to tell you something." She said.
I went to her. "What is it, miss Olivia?"
She whispered "Go to the beach and walk along the shore. You'll be able to find something that you will not have to search for again in the future." she winked at me and hugged me tight which caught me off guard.
"Okay. Bye, miss Olivia." I smiled and went into the car. She waved me goodbye as the car was going farther and farther away from the shelter.
"THAT BOY WAS HANDSOME OMG!" Aunt Lindsey squealed.
"He just turned 18 yesterday too." Aunt Fran added.
"Yeah he is." I said in agreement as I petted Bruno.
We were heading back and we were about to pass by CJ who is still on his phone. This time, he looked up and his eyes went to our car and when we passed him, he finally looked at me.
We passed by him and I didn't dare look back.
I'm not interested in him anymore. He ghosted me for years and I'm not gonna make a fool of myself.
Aunt Fran and Aunt Lindsey bid me goodbye and I waved them goodbye.
I looked down at Bruno and he's wagging his tail.
It's my first time being a fur mom. I got a lot to learn.
"Come on, Bruno. Welcome to your home forever where I'll love you forever" I hugged Bruno and picked him up. I open the door to the house and went in.
The first thing is we went to the bathroom and I bathed him. I dried him off and put him on his light blue color that matches his harness which is pastel blue.
I put him down the floor and let him explore the house. In my room, I prepared his bed which is beside mine, and placed a small teddy bear and a blanket in it. I could hear steps coming to the room and Bruno came in, smelling everything and went directly to his bed.
I sat and petted him. Then, I remembered what miss Olivia said to me earlier.
"Come on, bruno. We're going on a walk." In which is me carrying him the whole time.

We were on the way to the beach when I spotted a familiar face. It was the boy with the brown hair again.
He hurriedly went up to me.
"Hey. Can I ask for your name? and your insta." He said nervously. "Can we be friends?"
I giggled and nodded. "Sure. My name is Coraline. You?"
The boy's eyes squinted. I assume he is smiling. "I'm Levi". I gave him my insta and he added me instantly. "I'm gonna go. My mom's waiting for me." He said as he waved goodbye. "I love your puppy!" He said as he went away.
I smiled as I waved him goodbye.
If only he'd take off his mask.
Then it hit me. I can look at his face in his insta later.
Then we went to the beach.
Despite the mall nearby, it's still peaceful.
I set Bruno down and I remembered. Ahh I gotta clean him off again but still smiled, he's wagging his tail.
We walked along the shore and suddenly Bruno stopped and eyed something on the sand.
I crouched down next to him and see something shiny.
"A ring?"
