I am gasping and running. All those horrable memories have not let my legs stop instead run until i reach infront of the door.
My breath is comming in gasps. A sweat has wet me.
I push the door and let myself in. It's dark. The house is dark. No light is on. I feel uneasy. But in a minute, the light illuminated. And i see, the boy, my step brother who is four year younger than me.
"You are home." He gently says.
"Yeah." I reply. It awkwards me. After a long time, we have had a talk.
"Your leg!" He panicks and hurriedly runs his feet towards me.
"Well…it is nothing." I say.
He graps my left leg and moves the pant up. It embarrasses me.
"You are bleeding." He stands up and grips my fist, in pulling act he leads the way. He makes me sit on the sofa. And himself walks upstairs.
Within three minutes, he comes back with first aid box. As he approaches near me, he sits on his knee and examines my wound deeply.
"Let me clean your wound first." He utters.
"Ok." I obediently say ok.
He seems seriously worried. His frown eyebrow, his dark black eyes where could see the anxiety. Time really flies fast. The time when i did see him last time this close was maybe six years before. The time he had tiny eyes, small face and cute appearance.
Now, that cute face has been varying into mature. He is growing adult and becomig handsome, day by day.
The black silky hair of his, i have not touched it since long time. And it makes me eager.
Without notifying myself, my right hand, automatically flies and sits on his. It is soft. Gently, i cause my fingers to go through in his dense hair and moves it in a state that is calm and tranquil.
"You grow up really fast." I mumble.
"Brother!"
I startle. He is looking steadily and intently at me. As an especting something. I move my hand with haste and spin eyeballs towards another direction.
He chuckles. I glance at him, concealing from being noticed. And now his quite chuckle i am having at the fuss he's caused.
"It must hurt." There is saddness in his voice.
"Not that much. Don't worry, i will be fine soon."
He warps my wound after putting the medicine on it.
"Hey pain…..don't hurt him. Fly away." His utterance hears in low pitch. Soon he finishes, he leans more close and blows air then mildly touches the wound by his lips.
"What are you doing?" His act causes a slight physical discomfort so i ask him in no time.
"I just blow the pain. In the same way you used to do." He smiles.
It pleasures me. As well as it feels odd, newly accuired person having a nonzero value of strangeness. Whereas other days, he glared at me. Clenched his fist while i smiled along with other. Just used to watch me getting beaten by dad and scolded by his mom. But the moment, he has became soft, gentle, wearing a smile on his face. He is changed and i love it. I want him like this not grumpy one from before.
I stand up. He too. He is taller than me. I can't believe, my little brother is grown up.
"I will cook something quickly. You must be hungry." I speak and make a way.
"I have already cooked."
I stop. "Really!" It is more unusal i identify in him. From the day we lived together, i had never saw him cooked. Why he is acting in this way…..today.
"I go and get the food. Sit and wait."
He walks and soon breaks through inside. I sit. He brings two plates where differ food and vegetables are decorated.
"Here?"
I receive. He says in enthusiastic. "Let's eat."
"Ok." But i reply in unclear tone.
We begin to eat. It is delicious unlike i cook. I have lots of question in my mind however i do not expose it but they are playing and fluttering all over.
"I have been learning cooking since two months. How it is?" He askes.
I look at him. Our eyes collied. They are asking what he askes and are hoping for his cost of hardship deed maybe. "It is good."
Now i see the awe-inspiring image on him. His smile has widen more wide. His sight is making me uneasy. So i break the eye contact and continue eating.
