Chapter 4: The Prince And The Human

Dull black leather encased his wide shoulders and powerfully built arms. His full lips curved into a tight smile and when he blinked, his thick black eyelashes drew her attention. The skin of his face was a sparkly white color... or at least it looked like it with the moonlight glimmering at it. But what caught her attention apart from his looks was what he had said... 'You are human... Did that mean.. he was not?' This is where she should probably faint from shock.. Too bad she was not the fainting type..

Clearing her throat, she asked softly, "Uh.. I am human. But you are not? You look like a human... other than your color that is.."

The other man did not answer her.. Instead he questioned her, "What is your name?"

'Rude man.' muttered Flaris in her heart. He should at least introduce himself before he questioned her. She wondered if she should tell her real name or a made up name.. As she thought of this, unintentionally she muttered, "Umm.."

The man's smile grew and the amusement in his eyes was even more clear as he said, "Your name is Umm.. That is an odd name for someone from Earth.."

Again a shocking statement so glibly stated. Gulping, she stated," I am just shocked. My name is Flaris..And c"

But before she could say or rather ask more, he interrupted, "You look it. Come with me, Flaris. I will answer all your questions.."

Flaris stared at him in suspicion. The best way to get killed was to follow a stranger.

The man had already turned around and looking back, he noticed the girl still standing there.

Hesitating, he walked back and held out one of his large hands. It was at this moment that Flaris noticed that he wore gloves with metal nails at the back of it. If he were to hit backhand someone they would bleed to death...

Trembling, she placed her small hand in his and followed him quietly. She needed answers and the only human.. umm whatever this person was could provide her with those. As she followed the man, she failed to turn behind and notice. If she had she would have known the danger she had just escaped as a massive wolf now stood next to the small fire she had created.. sniffing at the sweet potato that she had left untouched. In a jiffy, the Wolf had gobbled up the vegetable and was staring at the receding figure of the two people.

Prince Wu Long Ivruss felt a happiness like no other. He gently rubbed his hand over her skin. He could feel the girl's warmth even through the glove, caressing her hand. Tilting his head as he walked, he asked the girl, "I am wondering something. Will you satisfy my curiosity?"

She looked up into his beautiful eyes. Not like she could say no to him! He was so handsome despite the skin color.. Like Edward from Twilight! And then her eyes widened! He used to sparkle in the sunlight.. And this guy was sparkling in the moonlight, "Are you a vampire?" Se blurted out.

The man threw back his head and laughed in amusement. "You are a curious little thing. But you will have all your answers when the time is right. But first.."

He let go of her hand and slowly and took off his glove before extending his bare hand to her again. Flaris took it surprised at the warmth of it.. He shouldn't be a vampire.. Or else he would have had cold skin.. And his palm was slightly roughened with calluses.. It was actually pleasant to hold.. Was this the attraction to older guys that those romantic novels talked about? He looked to be at least in his late twenties.. So that would mean he was at least eight to ten years older than her.. Suddenly, his fingers squeezed her hands and he jerked her forward right into his muscular body making her gasp..

She stared up and up at his face as he stared down at her and whispered softly, "Why don't you answer my question first?"

"What do you want to know.." Even as her heart was trying to beat out of her chest, Flaris was proud that her voice had come out normally and not shaky, full of fear.."

Since she was standing flush against him, she could feel his strength. He could crush her if he wanted to with that massively built body of his..

"Do you have family back on Earth?"

Now that was a question that she had not expected in a million years. Slowly she shook her head. She was an orphan and had been raised with other orphan children.. And what was with that back on earth thing..

The man suddenly stepped back as he nodded in agreement. What it was that he was nodding about, she had no idea.. But then he said, "Good. Then it means that you will adjust here in some time and not hold it against me. I would have kept you here no matter what but having no family is better.. At least you will not miss them.."

This time, Flaris dug in her heels and refused to follow the man. Her brain was about too burst from the questions. She realized at this moment that they had walked back to the house where she had first landed and asked in an imposing manner. Or at least as imposing as she could be considering that she had to look up at him," I am not moving until you tell me where I am!"

"No harm will come to you and all your questions will be answered. First why don't you come inside?"

A firm shake of her head.. She was not moving anywhere. She had a feeling that if she followed this man, she would lose herself.. Not going to happen!

The man sighed and answered her question," Miss Flaris. Let me welcome you to the planet of Adrian.
