Chapter 13: I Choose The Cloud Martial Sect
After Xi Ansel stepped out of the void, he saw himself standing at the base of the mountain just below the 1st stair.
It was afternoon. It was clear that the few moments he spent in the void ended up turning morning into afternoon as countless hours were spent.
Xi Ansel then looked up towards the mountain's and saw that nothing had changed. The mountain stood totally unaffected but if one were to see closely one would realize that the pressure on the mountain has dissipated completely and the steps only lasted at 9999th.
'Rest well Master, this Ansel will fulfill your wish!'
Xi Ansel couldn't help but mutter inside as strange emotions built up inside him. Xi Ansel wasn't some bloodthirsty maniac, he was just a normal human, if some one were to show kindness and sincerity towards him, Xi Ansel would never touch them and even go to lengths to protect them but if someone were to get in his way, he becomes so ruthless that even the heaven itself cowers in fear.
As Xi Ansel retracted his gaze back from the top of the mountains did he realize the scenery in front of him which made him dumbstruck.
Everyone had gathered around the mountain near the base, where Xi Ansel was standing surrounding him and staring at him. Even the participants were already in that crowd, the elders from the sect were a bit farther than the crowd but their gaze was fixed on Xi Ansel but what made Xi Ansel stupefied was the look in the eyes of the crowd, Shock, Fear, Jealousy, Reverence, Pity, Envy and some were even glaring at him with anger. Those angry people were definitely the Ji family guards. Since, Xi Ansel crippled the descendent of the Ji family, it was obvious that they would be hateful towards him.
Xi Ansel ignored those looks and finally looked at the reward which was tucked in his waist, for which he worked so hard-'Total Annihilator'. The sword was inside a steel scabbard that was shining brightly under the sun. Even after completely covering the sword and restraining the deathly aura, it still gave a dangerous yet majestic look.
The crowd suddenly felt a chill and their gaze immediately shifted to Xi Ansel's waist. As they looked at the exalted sword, their eyes were filled with greed and jealousy, some even thought about snatching it but seeing the cold and emotionless glare of Xi Ansel as well as remembering the ruthlessness he showed, no one had the guts to face this anomaly.
Even Gu Li and Wang Xiao were staring at the sword with their expressionless faces but there was a bit of surprise in Wang Xiao's eyes but no one noticed.
Finally breaking the silence, an elder from the sky martial sect stepped up only then did the crowd disperse
"Everyone here did a great job and some even did exceptional!", as the elder was saying this his gaze passed through the examinees and stopped on Gu Li and Wang Xiao and then he continued, " "This batch of examinees can be said to be the most rare and exceptional ones! " As he said that, his voice was filled with pride and satisfaction.
"But we all know that, Today there was someone who broke the shackles of history and created a legend!" As these words left the mouth of the elder, everyone once again turned towards Xi Ansel but this time their gaze was filled with reverence.
What they witnessed today had already surpassed their understandings of this world. A teenage child who was just at the Elementary Realm 3rd stage broke free through the constraints of force and pushed his way towards the top, even surpassing experts of the 6th stage Elementary Realm like Wang Xiao and Gu Li! This teenager did something which no one could do for several hundred thousand years! The same teenage defeated someone who was 2 stages higher than him in an instant! The same teenage who was lying on the deathbed after being kicked by Ji Jian suddenly recovered! The thing that shocked the most and made their hearts turn cold was how Xi Ansel crippled Ji Jian, even after knowing his identity! Ji Family could be said as one of the most ancient and powerful martial family that has been serving the empire for more than a thousand years. For Xi Ansel to openly cripple one of their descendants is just similar to slapping them in the face. To have such guts! It was only possible if there was someone strong backing Xi Ansel but those from the Cyclops city all knew of Xi Ansel's origins- 'He was just an orphan'. At that moment everyone had just one question in their mind, 'Just, Who the hell are you?!"
The more they looked towards him, the more they felt staring at an 'Enigma'.
The elder then halted his gaze at Xi Ansel and spoke to everyone, " The test is now Completed! It's time for you to choose your sects!".
Everyone's gaze shifted from Xi Ansel and they all looked towards each other and finally erupted with cheers.
At long last, the end of the test has come and they could choose their sect. How much did they suffer to get here? How many years did they work hard? How many hopes were placed on them? Thinking about all this, everyone let out a long sigh.
The elder from the sky sect once again spoke but this time his wrinkled face wasn't as stern as before, " I will now enumerate your names with the eligible sects for you!".
Everyone already knew the test format- 'If you climb more than 1000 steps you are welcome as an outer disciple. If you climb more than 3000 steps you are selected as an inner disciple and if you were to climb more than 6000 steps, you will be selected as a core disciple. ' These might be the golden rules for the test but actually they were just the prerequisites. To get in a particular sect this much was necessary but that didn't mean that one had the option for all sects because every sect differed in strength, like Cloud martial sect was the most powerful followed by Sky martial and then the Wind martial sect.
To become a Wind martial sect's outer disciple was easy if you climbed more than 1000 steps but the same couldn't be said for the sky or the cloud martial sect as they definitely needed more.
The elder then started reciting the names.
" Tian Ku | Age-18 Can Enroll- Wind Martial Sect | Status - Outer Disciple Wind Martial Sect "
"I choose Wind Martial Sect!", Tian Ku could only say that embarrassingly as he only had that one option.
" Chen Wenli | Age- 19 | Can Enroll- Sky Martial Sect, Wind Martial Sect | Status - Outer Disciple Sky Martial Sect, Inner Disciple Wind Martial Sect"
" I choose Sky Martial Sect!", Chen Wenli spoke without hesitation as it was obvious the sky martial sect was much stronger than wind martial sect.

"I choose Cloud Martial Sect!", Gu Li replied sternly.

"I choose Cloud Martial Sect!", this time Wang Xiao's expressionless yet beautiful face formed a slight smile. Seeing that slight smile most men heart thumped. That was the first time they realized that, 'Wang Xiao could smile.'
Everyone was filled with admiration as they were already aware of these geniuses so it wasn't out of the ordinary. Then after hearing a few more names, the most awaited name came....

Everyone took a cold breadth as they heard the word ' JADE DISCIPLE', this was because the word, 'JADE DISCIPLE' had long been lost in history. While core disciples were taught by the venerable vice sect master of their sects and was the highest position for a disciple. But there existed another title- 'The Jade Disciple', this title is conferred to those disciples who were taught personally by the legendary sect master of their respective sects. No disciple has seen their Sect master because sect masters were mysterious existences that didn't reveal themselves until necessary. They were those people who had lived for countless centuries and accumulated infinite amount of knowledge. To be taught by the sect master himself? What more could a person wish for? The 3 sects were so desperate to pull Xi Ansel to their side that they all used the title of Jade Disciple.
Even Xi Ansel was surprised. He never expected to be given this fabled title.
' Hah! to be able to gain Total Annihilator, Break through the 3rd elementary stage and even getting the Jade Disciple title, Heaven really must be by my side!', Xi Ansel couldn't help but sigh inside.
Finally after calming himself, he spoke with a calm voice, " I Choose The Cloud Martial Sect!"
