Chapter 3: CHAPTER TWO
~'In the car'
'Sitted at the back sit of the car, there I am frowning my face and wondering when we'll arrive while while Mr. Walter drove us to school & Pretty is sitted next to me with her head bowed staring and pinging with her phone.
"Arent we there yet?" i broke the silence, though ignored by both Pretty and my father.
After a 20 minutes drive from home, we arrive school at last.
'Finally' I exhaled while coming down from the car.
Dad dropped us and zoomed off to work without a good bye.
"i wasn't expecting one from him" I soliloquized
I've always had a dream of becoming a novelist and a poet and luckily for me I got admitted in Arts department & Pretty my friend who's always interested in tech. admitted in computer science department.
"Am gonna look for the library, I need to carry out a personal research, I've missed alot of lectures,if only dad had paid my fees earlier" I rhetorically asked Pretty.
"Well then, we'll meet at home, & and take care", said Pretty walking away to locate her lecture hall.
OMG! I Exclaimed, I'm late for my lectures!
As i stared into my wrist watch,packed my books from the desk into my bag & left the library hurriedly. It's 26Minutes pass my lecture time' I muttered to myself while walking out.
"This must be the hall" I asked myself walking in with my head bowed.
'The professor is quiet all of a sudden
"What must be wrong, " i asked myself & trying to locate a sit,
Raising my head up there was a sudden silence & all eyes were on me.
"Maxwell" AKA Max
one of the bully's in college Apparently her course mate. Max is the group leader of a four squad friends tagged by other students as 'THE BULLS' known for bullying and inhumane characters.
"Who wears a hoody in a summer"!!!
Max Yelled mockingly at me aloud while standing and pointing a finger, as i walked into the class silently
The silence was broken by the loud noice of laughter coming from different angles of the lecture hall.
feeling ashamed and embarrassed I quickly sat down and put my head down as tears dropped from my eyes, the usual.
Lecture continued...
'I'll be upstairs mum' I said to my mum as i hurriedly walked pass through my mum who was trying to welcome me,
You can't blame me I was
Filled with disdain from the incident in school
"Doesn't seem like she had a good first day in school" said mum speaking to herself.
"wow"
Today wasn't that bad at all, with the mockery, well am used to that i said falling down in my bed in my room trying to relax".
What's the worst that could happen,I asked myself taking a deep breathe.
' It's another day, second day in school'
"You're leaving already" asks Mrs Walter to me
"Yes mum, I have lectures by 7 o'clock, I don't want to be late" I replied
'Okay dear. Take care, love you' says her mum.
~On getting to school
Ciara AKA Cia
A hot & beautiful lady.
A three squad friends leader, One of the female bully squad in College
Apparently in the same department with Kylie also.
Cia & and I went to the same high school & Cia was the last person I would have wanted to see in the same college with me not to talk of being in the same department as her.
ill treatment, bullying, smoking clubbing amidst other things characterized Ciara.
'Wow!
"Look who we've got here ladies," to her friends;
'It's Kylie the Nerd' Cia said Mockingly while walking towards me.
"its her, i can tell from her voice" I whispered to myself with my head bowed" & trying to dodge being seen by Cia unfortunately she had seen me from afar & it was too late to get away.
"am so thrilled to see you, aren't we ladies?"turning to her friends and laughing said Ciara as i stood right in front of her trembling with fear and wondering what her next move would be, cause she's always made me a laughing stock not once twice or thrice but still counting.
"please let me pass through" I have to be in the hall, it's getting late" I said finally with a little bit of trembling courage.
"what did you say to me? She asked me while I stood there, numb, swimming in fear of what she may do to me
"Hey listen to me nerd" said Cia
"To call you stupid would be an insult to stupid people!
'You know why, cause you're stupid and a f**king nerd, you're a looser" she yelled at me while walking away with her friend & laughing.
Everyone standing by and those passing all bursted into laughter, embarrassing right? Yeah I know. I couldn't stand for myself, no one to stand for me.
I was alone, all alone, and then suddenly I wished Pretty was there, she'd defend me at least. Unconsciously tears were dropping down my face,from eyes they rolled down to my cheeks and then some of it to my mouth and to the ground of course., embarrassed I walked away hurriedly heading towards the lecture hall.
Getting into the large floored pitched lecture hall containing about 30 students already sitted for the class. I sat down received lectures for about an hour & half.
"I crown you the Queen of my heart & on this day, I vow to be completely yours forever my dear Kylie. Take my hands and walk with me"~
There I sat hallucinating while the lecture was going.
Well who doesn't want to fall in love, even nerds do but for me, it was only an hallucination, who would want to be with a girl who wears a hoody in summer, is mocked and laughed at and of course nicknamed 'Nerd'. Non I guess.

as the lecturer concluded and left the class.
Stacking my books into my bags I headed for the door and there stood Max with his two friends..."Let me through please'" I pleaded, but they stood at the way still, I tried to go the other way round but they blocked there too. What do you need from me? I asked
"Nothing, you just seem weird & Nerdy" replied Max" making fun of me while they all laughed.
Ashamed and embarrassed I tried Pushing to pass through them but Max's friend pushed me back and unfortunately my bag fell down, and the container containing my pills rolled out of the bag,
"Wow what is that!?" said Max picking up the container,
"Nerdy is on a prescription huh!! " he mocked me making Gest of me with his friends wile they all laughed
"Please give it back Max" I pleaded breathing hard;
"Woah! what's wrong weirdo, you addicted to this? "he said looking at the pills and then at me and smiling .
I hurriedly dragged the container containing the pills from his hand and ran off,
"Weirdo!!!" Max shouted.
breathing heavily as though my breathe was about to seize the next minute heading towards the ladies room, On getting there I had shut the door immediately after me and took the dosage from the pills.
For a minute everything felt dark all of a sudden, all I could see were flashbacks from my past ravaging my head causing so much pain.
"I regret ever meeting you!!!, I was so stupid & blinded by love to have gotten married to you, you're a monster!!" yelled Mrs Walter at her husband.
"Oh is that what you think" replied Mr Walter angrily pulling her forward and slapping her hard as she landed on the sofa.

"Mrs Walter, your daughter has been diagnosed with hypochondriasis otherwise known as Illness anxiety disorder. which is caused by worrying excessively that you are or may become seriously ill & as such she has a risk factor of having a tendency toward being a worrier" Said the physician at Martin Houx Central hospital.
" It can cause her heartbeat rate to be slower atimes. Prescriptions have been made, she'll be taking this pills henceforth and we'll hope and anticipate her recovery but not anytime soon"
The doctor concluded leaving his office while Mrs Walter & Kylie sat there numb.

"Kylie, pull off the hoody jacket or leave my class" said Mrs Little, Kylie's high school teacher embarrassing her in front of her classmates who laughed and mocked her.
"Here she comes, the nerd" mocking and laughing at her
Said some school mates as Kylie walked pass them.
All these flashbacks filled my head as I was in the bathroom in tears this time around, "life's been fair to others but not just me", I soliloquized while in tears and ran out of the bathroom heading towards the roof top of the building locking the door behind me.
There I stood at the edge of the roof top,with an already made up mind about ending my life. in less than a minute, there was a crowd watching me from the ground.
"Do it", Ciara shouted,
"Do it" shouted her friend after her
"Oh my God" yelled one of the lecturers; Someone call the security".?
Max and his friends heard the news and were there already, shouting "do it"
The school Security personnel were already there at the door of the rooftop which I had locked, struggling to break through the door.
In less than 5 minutes there was a crowd of people watching me from the ground, some eager to watch me jump off the roof top, some hoping I wouldn't, some watched in fear to see what would happen, while some were already on with their phone cameras waiting for the action to take place.
Looking down I saw Pretty running towards the scene in tears,.
"Please get off the roof" she sobbed
"Am sorry pretty" I said to myself in tears"
"In these moments I feel more clarity than I have ever felt in my dull life. In one minute, I will be free from the voices, from the pain, and from everything that's been making life miserable for me." I said to myself
Closing my eyes, the only thing that glanced through my mind at that intense moment was my mum.
" I love you Mom" I whispered to myself throwing myself off the roof.
