Chapter 2: Chapter 2

Sashta stares at the vast green valley that seems to spread endlessly, Nightshade and Oleander scatter all over the entrance of Dark Shadow Coven.

Cold wind caressing her skin, reminding her of every little thing she has done. Her mind is in constant battle but at the end of the day, her action always defies her rationality.

"How can such beauty turns out to be deadly" a voice interrupted her thought, she doesn't need to know who that is.

"What are you doing here?" Sashta asked, eyes still fixed at the calming field in front of her.

"Ouch, could have at least say "I miss you Ravina" first". She signs before turning her attention to the intruder that doesn't seem to mind her murderous eyes.

Ravina, the annoying newcomer that until now bothers her existence. Sashta doesn't trust the red-headed girl, when they found her at the footstep of the coven severely wounded and couldn't remember what really happened she already knows that something is wrong.

What surprised her more is that the council accepted her as if their own the next day. Ravina's appearance is suspicious, that's why elder Sybil, the only one that she thinks is sane in the council, assigned the task to keep an eye on her- in short babysitter.

"What do you want Ravina? I don't have time with your existence" she holds her heart like she was wounded by what she said.

"Ah, you always hurt me big sister" Sashta glared at her, she always hated to be called like that. Not today and never ever.

Ravina raised her hand as a sign of surrender, she knows too well that Sashta won't hesitate on killing her if she annoys her more.

"Well I just came here to tell you that Elder Sybil is waiting for you at the gate" and before she knows it she was running away from her before she could even pull out her knife.

She silently screams before heading to the gate. She can't wait for the day to come that she could cut her head off and serve it in a golden platter. She smiled evilly with the image playing in her head.

"Sometimes I wonder what's running in your head when you smile like that" she bowed to Elder Sybil, among the members of the council, it is Sybil that she would protect more when the time comes.

Sybil saved what had left her, she is the reason why she is not turning entirely into a monster. She protected the last light she had in her soul.

"Just stuff I could do to murder Ravina" Sybil laughs at her remarks. Whilst she smiled at her, moments like this made her forget the evil things she had done.

"You always say stuff like that but at the end of the day, I know that you will protect her against anyone" she huffed at her, annoyed how she could see through her.

"The only person that I will protect is you. Now let's get going before the old man's hair turns to gold" she walked past her so she wouldn't see the truth in her eyes.

She hated how Sybil could see past through her wall, sometimes it's bothering her too.

She opened the door of the carriage "Before you ma'am" Sybil is still smiling at her and she just rolled her eyes.

It'll be a very long ride.
