Chapter 12: Lights in the cafe

"How did we end up like this?" Aki holds a hand to his mouth as Hiroto cages him between the toilet stall door and his arms. Hiroto's not even paying attention to him as he licks away at his nipples. Aki's shirt is pulled over Hiroto's head and all he can see is the back of his neck.

Aki had only asked Hiroto a simple question that Hiroto himself had assumed wouldn't be dumb. But then it was. "You said you didn't like sex with me," Hiroto teases, rubbing his finger against one nipple as he bit on the other. Aki moans and slaps Hiroto's arm.

"I never said that! I was just asking because I didn't know if you would want to do it or not," Aki complains, seeing nothing wrong in what he said. "Then you suddenly dragged me to the toilets and started doing this. What if someone was to hear us?"

"Then they hear us," Hiroto replies, pulling away and smiling up at Aki. He reaches for the top of Aki's jeans when Aki's phone suddenly rings. They both freeze as the sound of his ringtone echoes in the toilet. It's a random song from a girl group that was famous. Aki rushes to answer the phone call as Hiroto snickers to himself.

"Hello?" Aki greets, not bothering to check who was the caller. "Kanae?" Hiroto's ears perk up and he snaps his head back in Aki's direction. "About lunch? Yeah, I was thinking we could get food from the place we normally go to."

Aki turns away from Hiroto, trying to get as much privacy as he could in the small stall. There was a small group of guys that had just entered, so Aki couldn't exactly leave the stall alongside Hiroto. He lowers his voice as he answers Kanae's questions when he feels hands come round his waist.

"What are you doing?" Aki whispers as he quickly holds the phone away from himself. Hiroto doesn't reply to him and instead kisses his jaw, his hands with a mind of their own as they slip through down the waistband of his boxers. "Hiroto!"

"You sure you should be that loud?" Hiroto asks, trailing his kisses down to Aki's shoulder. A few of the guys pass by their stall as they search for one of their friends. Aki freezes in his spot as Hiroto rubs his thumb over Aki's tip, teasingly stroking him. It's so slow that it was barely stimulating. Aki presses his forehead against the door and takes a deep breath, bringing the phone close to his ear.

"Yeah, Kanae?" He's quite proud of how stable his voice is. "You're already there? Yeah, yeah no you can order first. I'll be there soon. Mhm, don't worry, just save me a seat and I'll be getting there soon. Yup! See you there."

Aki's lying through his gritted teeth. He didn't want to lie to Kanae, that boy was too precious to lie to, but Hiroto was making it hard for him not to do that. His hands are moving at a faster pace, sliding up and down him as he grinds his own hard-on against Aki's back, his pants coming fast and low beside Aki's ears. Without realising, Aki moves his hips backwards, enjoying the friction between himself and Hiroto. It made him feel happy at the idea that Hiroto was getting aroused by him. Though it wasn't a surprise. Who wouldn't get aroused by him?

"Feeling good?" Aki asks with a chuckle, watching as Hiroto shuts his eyes and grabs his waist tightly. He grinds against Aki even faster than before, practically pushing him up against the door of the stall. The group outside are laughing and constantly speaking, drowning out the noise they were making.

"Yeah," Hiroto breathes out softly. He turns Aki around and curls his hands around the underside of his thighs, picking him up and pressing him against the stall door. The sound is far louder than before and the group of boys go quiet. Aki holds a hand to his mouth and tries to calm his breathing, but the boys have already caught onto what was going on.

"No way," one of them whispers, his footsteps getting closer as he nears the stall. Aki's heart beats faster as he wonders if the guy was going to peek over and check what they were doing. He wasn't against exhibitionism, but he didn't want to partake in it.

Suddenly, Hiroto grounds up against him, causing Aki to slip out a moan. It's so high-pitched and dirty, the boys stop in their tracks. Aki hears one of them curse and tell the others to leave. Before he knew it, it was only Aki and Hiroto left in the toilet.

"So," Hiroto smiles up at Aki. "Should I continue?"

"Are you okay?" Kanae asks, putting his drink aside to reach out and place his hand against Aki's forehead. "You look really red and are warm."

"I'm fine, I'm fine," Aki replies, leaning away to take a deep breath. After Hiroto and he finished in the toilets, Aki only had five minutes to run across campus and find the cafe he usually went to with Kanae. When he arrived, he was panting and holding his weight against the wall. His legs were jelly from what had happened a moment ago and the run had only made them worse. Thankfully, Kanae didn't question him much when he came and sat down, which was fairly surprising as Kanae always asked him about the tiniest things.

"So, who was that person that came to pick you up after the lecture?" Kanae stirs his drink with a spoon before taking a sip of it. He looks at Aki with highly suspicious eyes. What was he supposed to tell Kanae? Would it make sense to keep it a secret when everything would be revealed sooner or later? But then again, Aki didn't want to tell other people before he had informed his dad and spoken about it with Hiroto.

"Just a friend," Aki says, trying to wave it off with a smile. "We met a few weeks back at the bar and found out we went to the same university."

"The bar?" Aki realises where he slipped up when Kanae's eyebrows crease and he frowns deeply, looking hurt by what he had said. "Does that mean he's more than just a friend?"

Kanae was a strange one. Despite being rejected by Aki a few times already, he still made it obvious that he liked Aki. If Aki was being honest, it made him feel uncomfortable. The way Kanae spoke about them two sounded as though they were dating when in reality they weren't. Aki couldn't tell him these things, however, because they had known each other since they were younger. Kanae used to live next door to Aki and they had spent many bad days together, whispering among themselves whenever the other was feeling down.

"We're pretty close," Aki attempts to avoid the question, cutting a piece of his cake and holding it close to Kanae's lips, but he turns his head away.

"What does that mean?" Kanae questions, his voice getting louder as he speaks. There are not that many people in the cafe, but a few heads turn to see what was wrong. Kanae never reacted this strongly to any other people Aki had met up with. So why was meeting Hiroto again so troubling? "That doesn't answer my question. I'm asking if you've slept with him or not."

Aki's hands jump up to try and tell him to calm down, but Kanae simply ignores him. "Hey, Kanae. I've told you this before but we're not dating, meaning I can have sex with whoever-"

Aki doesn't even get to finish his sentence before Kanae abruptly stands up, tears in his eyes. He looks down at Aki with a heartbroken expression and says, "I can't believe you would say that to me. After all the years we've spent together, you go and do stuff with other people? Am I not enough?"

The people around them are already getting further interested in their conversation and Aki feels his control over it slipping. Kanae nods slowly and picks up his drink, smiling bitterly at Aki. "It's fine, Aki. I get it, you don't like me like that anymore. I get it."

Was it Aki's fault? He didn't even know himself. This scene has happened so many times now. Every time Aki would get close to someone, Kanae would step up and question their relationship, threatening to throw it all away if Aki was to choose someone other than him. It happened the first time Aki got a girlfriend and it was repeating now that Aki was sharing a secret with Hiroto.

"Kana, wait." Kanae stops trying to leave when he hears Aki call him with the nicknames he was weak with. "I didn't mean it in a bad way, please just sit back down."

Kanae looks down at him before shaking his head. Aki internally curses himself for allowing Kanae to get this spoiled with him before rubbing his thumb across Kanae's palm.

"Please, Kana? Let's talk it out?"

Kanae takes one last glance at him and then grabs Aki's hand. "Let's talk at my house."
