Chapter 1: Two kinds

'No…' She said twisting and turning on her tiny, cramped bed. 'Please…' "STOP" Turilla screamed before falling off her bed with a big loud thud. Shooting up into a sitting position she scanned the whole room like a hawk. Feeling the relief that she was still in her small shared room, she ran her palms over her face whipping all the sweat from her face.

"Dang, it's gotten worse huh," said a voice from the top of her bed. Poking her head from the edge of the bed for the other was a girl so thin that people would mistake her for a toothpick and super fair someone would think she was a ghost. "Was it the same as last night?" She asked trying not to trigger the pink bed-headed.

"Imogen," The tan, plummy girl said, still on the hard wooden, said, extending both her hands. She didn't seem like she would get up from the floor anytime soon.

"Haha, I'm coming." Imogen laughed as he got off the bed and made her way to Turilla. "God, you're such a baby. A huge one" She said bending down to sit on her knees so that it would be easier for the other to hug her.

While hugging Turilla, Imogen caressed and played with her hair smoothing out all the stays. Taking a comb from a drawer from under her best friend's creaky, messy bed, Imogen started to slowly, painlessly comb Turilla's hair.

After few minutes of comfortable silence, Imogen asked "Hey Tri? Are you awake? Mama was calling us downstairs. Breakfast is ready."

"Mn, I'm awake." Was the only reply when the pink-haired girl stood up and walked sleepily to the shared bathroom that was connected to their bedroom.

"Do you remember the dream you had? You were crying and yelling to stop." Imogen asked while she made their beds and got out clothes for the two of them to wear for the day.

"Not completely, it's very vague," Turilla said from the toilet as she was brushing her teeth. "The only thing I do remember was the trauma that I had before coming here five years back." She continued in low voice.

Coming out of the toilet fresh as a daisy, the darker-haired female went up to the girl whom she considered very fearless and brave and gave her a quick hug. "I love your hugs Imogen."

"Your amazing Turilla, even if those asses can't see it," Imogen said breaking away from the hug. "Let's go down now, Mama is waiting for us."

As the two girls walked through the long, well-lit, and wide corridor that had doors lined on both sides of the walls that went all the way until the staircase, Children from all the room came outside from those rooms and greeted the two.

"Turilla, Imogen! Good morning." Said a small child with black hair.

"Morning, Sebastian." They replied in unison.

"Ya guys better go down soon. Food's gon get cold." Said a strong, confident voice that belonged to a girl who wore a cute dress and matching cowboy hat.

"Apologies for the tardiness," Tri replied to the fashionable, red-haired girl.

The two girls quickened their pace almost bumping the person wearing black from head to toe in front of them.

"Sorry. Were you hurt sir?" They said with a quick bow.

"It's fine but look where you are going next time or you could get hurt. You kids are careful now ok?" They said.

Bowing to the person they went past them. "Who was that?" The fairer asked. "Donno haven't seen someone like that here before. Especially on the children's floor." Tri replied.

"Seems shady to me. Like who wears black from head to toe like that early in the morning?"

For some odd reason, neither of the two could tell if that person was male or female. Not even after hearing their voice which puzzled them even more.

As they descended the stairs, a short, middle-aged lady with beautiful full lips came to view. The face the two girls had when they saw her was full of delight and cheerfulness.

"Ahh, my oldest babies are awake." Said the oval-faced, friendly lady who walked around collecting all the empty plates that were left on the three long dining tables.

"Mama! Good Morning." They screamed leaping into the middle lady's arms. Getting head pats in return the two girls help the beautiful, curvy woman with the plates.

The person they called Mama had beautiful Purple wings behind her back that were well maintained. They matched the tiny strands of hair that popped up here and there under the scarf that she wore. She has a peaceful and caring vibe.

"Mama, who was that person on the children's floor?" Tri asked while washing the utensils while Imo wiped them.

"Ahh, he came to see who the two participants are." She replied.

"Ohh for tomorrow," Imo said. "That makes sense."

"My babies are so big," Mama said whipping a tear that trickled down her big, round eyes while her big wings touched both the girls warmly.

This is a world of magic. There are two kinds of humans living on this earth. The Unicorns and the unsaid. Unicorns are half who have the body of a human but they have pegasus wings and magical powers. Each unicorn has their own type of power which they train to make their own.

"Haha, Mama don't cry. We will come to see you when we get holidays. Don't worry." Tianna said finishing the first set of plates and bowls.

After finishing cleaning the whole room, the three of them sat at the first big table that was had a white table cloth. While they were eating another lady who also the same clothes as Mama sat with them.

"Morning, Mrs. Kimberly." The three greeted the older woman.

"Morning. Did you guys praise the lord?" She asked strictly. She had big blue wings that complimented her slightly yellow irises. The energy that surrounds her was full of sternness.

"Yes, ma'am" They replied with a strong voice and a salute.

While the four of them continued to eat the person in black walked over to Mama and said "Well then Mrs. Claire. I'll be taking my leave then."

Then there is the unsaid. Although they are myths and legends, some have told that they have seen them. The unsaid are know in myths that they eat unicorns and such.

"Ahh, Alex what did you think?" She asked standing up and keeping her spoon back onto her plate.

"They are lovely girls. You raised them well Mrs. Claire," they said smiling while looking at the two best friends who stopped eating and stood up as well.

"Thank you, Alex." She replied walking him to the great big oak doors.

"I'll see you girls tomorrow then." They said with a bow.

"He looks shady to me, maybe he's one of 'Them' " Tia said after sitting back down and continued to eat.

"Girls! Don't say that." Mama said as she came back to the table. "Alex is a nice person. He too gave funds for this place you know."

"Is he man or woman?" Imogen asked mindlessly without thinking.

"Nither or either. I'm not sure." Mama replied. "But to call him one of 'Them' is quite very rude don't you think?"

"Yes Mama, I'm sorry." Imogen apologized.

"Well then girls if you are done eating, let's go to the training grounds shall we?" Said the stern voice of Mrs. Kimberly.
