Chapter 3: Sammy

While Mrs. Kimberly left Turilla to herself and the filthy gym room, Turilla contemplated on what she would have done to piss the stern, older woman so much.

"What did I do to her?" she said out loud to herself. "Maybe it was when I spilled that green liquid?" She continued as she was mopping the floor. "Nah, I put it all back together back into the bottle without her knowledge with a sponge."

"Maybe it was the time that I wrote the wrong words in the letter and sent them to all the fundraiser organizations?" she asked herself putting her index finger on her chin and resting her head on the tip of the mop. "Probably not, I went to all of them and apologized individually."

"Maybe it's when you keep procrastinating with your work, why am I not surprised that you are doing just that?" said a harsh, rigid voice from the door.

"M-Mrs. K-Kimberly!" Turilla stuttered.

"It's been an hour Turilla. As expected you have done nothing." The winged lady spat. "Useless as always."

Having enough of what Mrs. Kimberly kept saying to her, Turilla decided that it was time that she stood up for herself. Also since Imogen wasn't with her.

"Mrs. Kimberly please don't say that to me. I may be disliked by you but I think your words are a bit too harsh." She said almost screaming and on the verge of tearing. "Your words are painful most of the time."

"Hm!" She said giving a short-lived smile. "Come with me." She order.

As Turilla walked behind her, Turilla was silently scared that the older woman smiled since the thing she knew to express was a frown but it felt very good that she got to get that off her chest. Turilla felt both happy and satisfied with a great big amount of confusion and fear. Clenching her fist and feeling proud of herself she followed the old Unicorn in perfect silence. The two of them went back to the back of the room again.

Mrs. Kimberly turned whipped her two thin, boney hands to the front making a cross and started collecting magical energy from her body and transferring them to her finger tips. This brought all the dust over towards the wooden ceiling. Carefuly removing one hand, she swirled it around which made the dust follow it and go straight into the bin.

"Now that that's down let us proceed." She said smirking giving again leaving Turilla in utter shock.

"What? How? When?!?!" Turilla suttered in astonishment and dumbstruck moving her hands all over the place. "Teach me!" She said going a head her caretaker and staring her in the face with eye of excitement.

"Haha, You" She said "You M'Lady might have something even better than my magic. That is if you are the one."

Just as she about to open the door that was at the back the gym doors burst open with by Imogen coming screaming. "Sam! Sam! Something- He is- Please help him." She said with her words all over without forming a proper sentence.

With no hesitation the two of them ran in a hurry behind Imogen. They followed her to the ridiculously massive that was even bigger up close obstacle course. In the middle was a boy about ten dangeling by his right leg that was stuck in between the wood at the bottom of the fighting dummy and the base that was turning.

When ever the obstacle course did it regular turn near the wood that was poking out from the inside, the boy had to use all his leg strength to lift himself up to avoid his head getting hit.

"Sammy don't worry, we'll get you down." Turilla said resuring to the boy who struggling to keep himself up. "Right?" she asked turning towards her strict caretaker.

"Don't worry Samuel. We will get you down soon, hang tight." Mrs. Kimberly screamed so the boy would hear her reassuring words. "Gah, It's way too complex to remove for my powers." She continued trying to use her magic to pick the blond boy up from the place he is stuck in.

"Wait, wait Kim. You will hurt him. Let me do it." Said a familiar soft, sweet voice that came from Mrs. Claire who was out of breath from running. Placing one of her soft palms on Mrs. Kimberly to comfort her and to use her as a support since she was exhausted.

"Samuel, my child" She said while she brought out her fabulous, well groomed, pastel colored wings and flew up the obstcle course. "Mama's almost there." She said right at the point when Sam's strength gave out and at the point of collision, Mrs. Clarie whisked him out.

"Mammaaaa" He cried clenching onto her neck.

"There, there Mama's here." She said rubbing her hands in a soothing circular motion. "Imogen, dear call the imfermary. My children please clear the way." She said giving orders.

Carring Sam to the clinic, Mama had a worried expression during the whole scene.

"Ah, it's not a big issue" The nurse said patting Sam's head as she removed the x-ray from his hurt leg. "It's a teeny weeny hair line fracture, it will heal with in a week or less."

"Thank you Mariee. I owe you one." Mrs. Clarie said to the nurse.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Allowing me to stay here, giving me food and a work is huge enough." She said giving Mama a big hug.

"Mama, how is Sammy?" Imogen and Turilla asked Mrs. Claire who was walking out of the imfermary. "Is it seaver?"

"No he's going to be just alright with a lot of rest." she said giving them both head pats and a hug.

"TURILLAAAAA." Screamed a stearn voice which seemed to be more angry than before. "Come here this instant, before I come get you."

"Oh Shyites. She found out." Turilla said before dashing across the hallway in the opposite direction of the angry voice. "He he See ya later."
