Chapter 2: chapter 2

They were so loud that I can hear them from my bedroom, I finally lost my interest in their small "get togather" to discuss the non-existing problem they are about to face in the society.

It's not a crazy thing actually, wash your eyes and see the brighter side,

You see, a lot of people lives and die like cattle, they can't take decisions on their own. So they need other mature and wise people for that. That kind of explain why they think their children are incapable of taking decisions.

It is good that people still believe to short out their problems under the wisdom tree.

But, the problem is. They are sitting around a weed (marijuana) and calling it a wisdom tree.

My grandfather, just like the attention and fame thats all. I am very much aware of solutions he can provide.

And my Uncle, he doesn't really care but because he is at the respected position, and doesn't want to upset his father, he just follows quiety, wearing a serious face.

He doesn'tknow that I know, he mocks each and every person behind their back.

My aunt is a great tattletale. She even tried to tell me their romantic episodes in early married days.

I dismissed the train of thoughts as I slipped into the kitchen, kitchen with the muddy green slabs and narrow space to stand and stare out of windows, the kind that gives you vibe of being evil fat character from disney's fairytale.

" Tray nahi laye!?"  long live the evil.

My cute and  chubby aunt animatedly placed her hand on her waist and asked in demanding manner.

She and her obsession with crockeries, jwelleries and sarees.

I remember once I broke her china-cup. She was everywhere to haunt me for 3 days straight.

"Apko pata hai kitna mehnga tha"

"meri Maa ka diya Tohfaaaah!!😭"

Even in my dreams she was there with her broken cup.

"bahar jyada jarurat hai uska" I said with a serious face.

" Kahe?"

" mahol garam hai bahar" I said lowering my voice, she leaned her head to hear me closer" Mandalji to eet-patthar to chun ke le gaye hai"

"To?"

"To Kuchh to chahiye na, Ek dusre ke sir pe fodne ke liye!"

She gaped and punched my arm, giggling.

That will bruise later.

" Shakal dekh lijiye apni" I laughed, grabbing a plate of samosa for myself.

She opened her mouth to speak something but was cut by my phone ringing.

I totally forgot where my phone was and been looking for it since morning, and I was carrying it the whole time.

" hellow!" I held the phone between my face and shoulder,  pouring ketchup on my samosa.

" Hello"

"Vaishali?"

"Haan, kahan ho?"

"chidiyaghar, tum batao"

" Police station" She said sadly, her voice shivering " pata nahi kya kare"

" Kis bare me?"

" Bahut rayta fail gaya hai"

" Chill kro" i took a bite of my samosa

"kese, Papa rone lage the, kitna suna ke gaye hai. Maa galiyaan de rahi thi!"

She started to sob " humlogo ne yeh nahi so-"

" ye to bolna bhi mat" I cut her in the middle " tumhe pata tha, bohut achche se"

My aunt gave me a look which I ignored.

" Tumhe pata tha ki in sab ka kya outcome hoga" I said licking my finger "bachche toh ho nahi, adult ho, legally, so behave like one"

There was a pause.

" Ab kya kre?"

" Mere se kyu puch rahi?"

" Bolo na"

" Stick with your husband" I said waving my hand in the air, animatedly "kyuki wapas gaye to kutayi hogi"

She hummed and I hung up.

" Wohi bhagori saheli ka phone tha?" My aunt charged on me

"sahi pakde hain!"

" Aane dijiye Inko, hum batate hai, kitna bigar gaye hai aap."

I frowned.

"Esa esa dost banake rakhe hai, kahin kisi din khud nahi bhag jaiyega kisi ke sath"

I smiled.

"Ek dam besharam hi ho gaye hai kya, kahin plan-wlan toh nahi bana ke baithe hue hai?"

I stopped her, fiddling with my pajama pockets.

" Kya?" she asked curiously.

"arre rukiye to madam!" I slipped out a while paper unfolding it.

" kya hai ye?"

"Raseed" I said " 35000 ki saree ki" she looked pale. " dada kal hi bol rahe the, bhitarghunna paisa gayab kar rha dukan par se"

" ky-kya sab bol rahe aap. Aap jasusi kar rhe mera? Camera laga ke rakhe hai mere room me!?"

" arre aap khud hi saboot mere muh pe fek ke jate hai" She actually threw the paper on my face from above. " swachh bharat abhiyan nahi suna kya?"

She launched one me and I jumped back.

"uh-uh-uh!" I waved my finger "mere phone me bhi saboot hai, aur to aur apke pair me bhi" i pointed at the payal that was made on special order by a customer.

I slipped it back in my pocket " To aap kuchh kah rahe the?"

She gave me a disdainful look and clicked her tongue, disappointed before saying " Samosa de aayiye bahar!"
