Chapter 29: 29. My Old Love
Jerry just laughed awkwardly. After all this time, they finally meet again. Two men leader of the armed forces, winner of the golden sword competition, and have one common goal.
"I want us to work together," said prince Ken. Now with a serious tone and look, but jerry seems confused. "Don't you hold a grudge against the kingdom of horathomi?"
Jerry stays quiet. He didn't know what to say. Should he be honest? Or is it necessary to lie in order to stick to the plan? What should he do now?
"Was I wrong?" Prince Ken asked again because jerry didn't immediately answer.
With confidence, jerry refused prince Ken's offer. "Sorry, prince Ken. I cannot answer such personal questions."
Prince Ken didn't expect to get an answer like that. He's got high hopes against jerry. "You're so cocky, jerry. You think I didn't know you were dying soon?" he said pointing out Smyrna.
Jerry's just smiling. He walked over to prince Ken. After that, he whispered, "What do you know? Grudges? Spirit power? Death? The answer is ... nothing."

In Prince Edwin's room, princess Alice was furious. "What's wrong with you? You're accusing Jerry of trespassing! You're embarrassing me so much."
Prince Edwin feels guilty. He never thought that his sister would be so angry. "Sorry, Alice. I didn't mean to accuse Jerry. I'm just worried about you."
"You don't have to apologize to me. Just apologize to Jerry!"
Prince Edwin nodded. "Okay! I'll apologize to him."
Prince Edwin and princess Alice return to the infirmary. They met again with prince Ken in front of the infirmary. Princess Alice feels weird about the look on prince Ken's face when he comes out. However, he made up his mind and went in with prince Edwin to see Jerry. Jerry seemed confused about the arrival of Prince Ken and Alice. Just as they're going in, Jerry's out.
"Where are you going? "Asked princess Alice in curiosity.
"Princess Alice, prince Edwin, I was about to ask permission. I'll be gone for a few days. After that, I'll be back."
Prince Edwin was shocked. He knew that Jerry had seven days left. "Jerry, you can't leave!"
Princess Alice was confused. "What's wrong with you? Why can't he go?"
Prince Edwin and Jerry looked at each other in silence, and he began to sense something strange about prince Edwin. On second thought, he remembered that prince Ken knew about his short life. Does prince Edwin know, too? He asked himself.
"Prince Edwin, are you..."
Never got a chance to ask, prince Edwin interrupted his words. "Come to my office this afternoon!"
Jerry can't answer anything. He nodded, as if understanding prince Edwin's gaze. While princess Alice did not understand what the situation was, she was unable to say anything at all.
In the afternoon, Jerry came to Prince Edwin's room asking what he was called. As he sat down, he asked, "Does prince Edwin know about my age?"
"Yes, I do know that. But the reason I asked you here is on another matter. "Prince Edwin showed no hospitality in saying that. Jerry stared at him with a misunderstanding. "My sister," she continued.
"Princess Alice?"
"Yeah! I don't want to see him hurt. Can you hide your age?"
Jerry didn't know it was gonna be this complicated. Prince Ken, prince Edwin, who knows of his imminent death. "Prince Edwin, I never told anyone about it. "Prince Edwin finally nodded in understanding.
"Good," said prince Edwin with a sigh of relief. "But why are you leaving this state? You could die on the road."
Jerry thought it was hard. It's true what prince Edwin said. He wouldn't let himself die for nothing but silence in his office. So he thought of immediately seeking a white winged horse. But would he have to tell that to prince Edwin?

Kings luis and megi were observing a map of the realm of horathomi. They're discussing technological developments here. Megi realized how difficult it is to introduce new technologies to people. Public knowledge is very limited. The technology known to society is electricity. People don't drive there. If there was, it was just a bike. Most of them are simply walking to where they are going.
"Earlier, I saw prince Edwin riding a horse to a place. May I ask, why don't people ride horses, too? "Asked megi.
"Horses are very expensive animals. Also, it is very hard to drive. So the vast majority of those who could ride horses were the ones in the royal court, which enabled them to ride well," explains King Luis.
Megi nodded in understanding. "In my hometown, King Luis, the vehicle is highly developed. We traveled by motorbike and car."
King Luis smiled gracefully. "I know all that. Ease in a more advanced age. My son studied outside the kingdom and from him also I know about the many technologies that are developing out there."
"What if we brought that tech here?"
"No need. People won't be able to afford it. Even their property taxes are very hard to pay. Let's just let people never know about the advancement of this technology."
The kingdom of horathomi has been handed down in perpetuity. Never once did they change the system of government. Education was intended only for the nobility, while the common people worked as employees in local shops or restaurants. It was only natural that their knowledge was severely limited.
After discussing such matters, megi exited the throne room of king luis. He could not understand how he stood up to that king Luis. This time, his opinions were dismissed even before he asked permission to try. He didn't know what to do with king luis anymore.
While passing on this annoyance, Megi saw a man she knew come out of prince Edwin's room. Her speed of approach to the man standing before her. As he neared, he took the courage to pull the man on his shoulder.
Jerry turned and was surprised to see the woman in front of him. "Megi?"
