Chapter 3: "Eyes of Deception"
"The Penta Authority" spoke Elric, a brigade officer.
"They were first formed and sworn to protect the throne of the Althia. They were one of the most elite and trained Mage Brigade at the time, known as the Orion Brigade. They were led by a Brigade Commander, that goes by the name Varse. They soon grew in number hence, as one of the most powerful brigades at that time, which the kingdom was overseen by King Sirius. King Sirius was a cruel leader."
"Declaring wars on multiple kingdoms and he ordered the Brigade to not even spare a living soul. King Sirius was also inherent of the Athomos magic, which made him powerful and made anyone that stands in his way to vanish within seconds to mere dust. Though his abilities came with limits, due to him lacking the training for using it and mana capacity."
"Each individual has their own mana capacity, which could also be expanded by training. And due to King Sirius's act, his own people retaliated against him, and which ended up having the brigade against him. As he felt worried about the upcoming retaliation, he decided to murder his own children, to avoid them from being able to lead the kingdom with the inheritance of his ability. Fortunately, all of his children were killed, except one, Princess Kamira."
"As she saw her father taking out her sibling's life in jealousy and envy, she decided to fight back. She had casted a disassemble ability to shift her father's body shape. Disassembling him from particle to particle until he vanished to a mere speck of dust. The Kingdom was full of chaos, everything was out of place. The retaliated brigadier also had formed an insurgency, lead by Commander Varse. Varse had made a deal with the Demon Lord, Prince of Hell, Lucifer Morningstar. Today, the reformed brigade is known as the Penta Authority. As Princess Kamira took her father's throne and being the only descendant of the royal family of Althia, she mended everything back to its place. And by time, she fell in love with a farmer, which made the farmer the King and Princess Kamira the Queen of Althia. And today, the current descendant of the royal family is now back to where it should be, overseen by Queen Christina, King Arthur, and their son, Prince Shiro, daughters, Princess Athiera and Princess Asura. The descendants inherited one of the most powerful magic in our kingdom. It is said that the power is limitless and is only limited by their inherent, which of course is by their mana."
"Any more questions?". Akito answered, "We're good. Thank you for the information, Officer Elric.". "Don't mention it. Always here to help." Elric added. Afterward, Kaito and Akito exited the office. "Say, Akito. You wanna go out and get a drink or something?". "Yeah." Akito replied. They went out to the bar to get a drink, as they reached there, they decided to talk. "Akito, I've been meaning to ask you. What made you join the brigade?". "Well, it's Colt that forced me to." Akito answered with an indecisive tone. "Wait. Colt? Sir Colt Smith?", Kaito asked in shock.
"Yeah.". "Akito, Colt Smith is one of the best mages within the Royal Brigade, you know that right?". "I suppose so." Akito answered in disbelief. "It would be an honor to meet him. You see, I'm a big fan of the great mages.". After Akito and Kaito finished drinking, they exited the place and went back to their dorm. And they met Victoria. "Hey, you doing fine?" Kaito asked. "Pretty much, Apollo wore me out during our fight" Victoria answered while touching her head.
"Hey Victoria, I've gotta ask.". "Have you heard about the rumor of Princess Athiera? She's also a Royal Mage Brigadier and she trains within the same facility as we are."
"Yup, but I doubt she would reveal her identity.". "I heard that she's quite gorgeous and attractive." Victoria looked down in envy.
"Jealous, Victoria?" Kaito added. "No. Leave me alone." Victoria was annoyed by Kaito's opinion. Akito was already knocked out and tired while laying on his bed. "Can we cut that out already." Akito shouted. "Sheesh Akito… someone's jealous" Joked Kaito.
"I'm not even attracted to her. And I doubt she would like me." Akito sighed. "Have some faith, Akito" while giving Akito a head scrub
Later that night, Akito suggested that they went out quietly without the acknowledgment of anyone. And they agreed. They all went out to a small hilltop somewhere without any light pollution, without any residence. While they were there, they laid down on the grass atop of the hill while glancing onto the night sky. It was silent and the environment was peaceful. They all joked and laughed under the moonlight.
"What a sight." Akito began. "It really is" Akito spoke, while smiling.
"Victoria, could you tell more about the Penta Authority?" Akito asked. "What ya wanna know about it". "About their motive and origin." Akito replied.
"Oh well, they were originally formed as retaliation or kinda like an insurgence group a couple of hundreds of years ago. I don't actually know specifically why they kill people but I know for a fact that they wanted to end our kingdom due to the generation of the royal family being the only power that oversees the kingdom.". "It's now being led by the Varse's bloodline, with a spanning over 20 million in their people. Varse was an inherent of the Ancient Astralium magic. Magic that is also considered a threat to people. This also means that his generation inherits his magic.".
"I see.." Akito spoke, while glancing at a star.
