Perish
To escape his question, I asked mine.
"Dad, about the ongoing war, can you please tell me about it?"
"Why do you want to know?" He asked to try and pry out her intentions.
"Dad, how can a person be called a princess when she doesn't know about the kingdom" she said as she came down from his embrace .
"Seems like I would be doing the bed time stories today" he said with a smile as he sat by the bed side.
His smile was very enchanting and hypnotizing, my mum is really lucky, I thought as I listened to what he said.
When he was true telling her about the war, she had already fallen asleep, so he tucked her into bed. He was about to go when she spoke;
"Dad, where are you going?"
"I thought you have fallen asleep?"
"Good night"
"Sleep well, let me go see your mum. We have to discuss" he smiled before leaving.
"Mmm" she murmured under her breath.
He arrived at their room, only to meet his wife on her sleeping robe.
"Sweetheart, you could not wait for me" he smiled mischievously before he removed his own clothes.
"You are becoming more shameless as the years go by, then you couldn't undress before me"
"He he... Am coming right away" he entered the bathroom while his wife laid down on the bed.
After some time, he came out and she was still awake.
"Axel, I will take Luna with me to get the witch's power"
"How did he find it?"
"It was with your younger brother, seems like his second wife, the former princess of Ashitira, who was casted out by her people actually had it. And it seems like she gave it to him as a gift. She really does not know the worth of that thing'' She said as she sighed while he climbed onto the bed and brought her closer as she lay on his chest.
He breathe deeply before he finally spoke.
"Your dad may need you to go to Azeroth, to beg for non-alliance and King Zira would look for a way to exploit this opportunity. You should be careful when you go. I won't follow you, I have to keep an eye on the dragons in case they attack them''.
"I know, we should sleep now'' she said as she held him close to her
While she slept he was still awake, staring at the ceiling. He was scared, he knew that something bad was going to happen but he did not know what but he knew it was something he dreaded the most.
"Whatever may happen, let it happen'' he muttered under his breath before he slept.
At the southern wing of Gira, the king was strolling through the garden when his beta walked up to him.
"King Ian needs you to attack the vampires, to avoid them from allying with the witches''
"Why, would he need my help when he can ask his daughter to discuss with the Prince of Azeroth or does he want to take me down with him''
"I think we should do it, besides it will favour us in many ways'' he smirked as he looked at King Zira giving him you know 'what I mean face.'
"What do you mean?"
"If we fight the vampires and the demons fight the witches. The demons are already at the verge of collapsing, if the daughter goes to see the vampire prince, we can accuse her of going against her kingdom, since she will be going secretly and the punishment for such is death.
We would follow her as well and infiltrate the palace, burning everywhere, especially the castle. They would die because of the surprise attack and it would give us more time to kill the rest and we can be the overlord of the vampire coven as well as the demon coven."
"Follow her and make sure she doesn't find you'' the king said as he signaled his beta to go.
After the beta had left, he let out an evil laughter before speaking;
"Axel and Ian, I will make you all perish''
At the northern wing of Gira, Evelyn woke up, her husband was not by her side.
She sighed before she rose from her bed and entered the bathroom to take a shower when she felt a rough breathing of a demon in the castle.
She finished taking her bath, wore her clothes and disappeared. She appeared at the hall downstairs and the person she met was her father's aide.
"Mr. Zeres, what brings you to my home this early?''
"King Zira, refused to help us and you are our only hope, else we would have to hand over the demon's orb'' immediately he said that, Evelyn's expression changed.
"Was that why my dad waged the war?"
"Yes, it was then he found out, the usefulness of the orb. He also wishes to see his granddaughter'"
"Why is that?''
"He wants' to know if she can evolve, although it's underage, he believes she is special''
"I will come and see him with Luna, let me go and pack up''
Her mind was in chaos now, she started packing when she remembered something.
She rushed to the study and picked up the book after reading it, she kept it in a safe behind the wall which was hidden behind a picture.
The book was all she had discovered, her theories, assumptions etc. She knew she might not make it after the battle and she is hiding it for her daughter to find it and not for it to fall into the wrong hands.
While she was hiding it, her daughter came in, asking a million questions.
"Mom, what's wrong? Why the rush? What did you hide behind the wall? What picture is that? Why are you packing? Are we going for a holiday? Is Miss Nina following us? Is it Mr. Zeres that is taking us? Are we going to your place?"
"Honey, remember carefully, when you grow up, you will find a book behind this wall, and this is your gift for being a good girl and improving in your training" she said as she gave her daughter a hinting jade bracelet
The bracelet had the symbol of a dragon which was also a symbol to represent a demon kin.
