Chapter 19: Roasting the Pig.
"... Tsu... Mit... Oemitsu. Wake up." I opened my eyes and saw that I was on Vergo's back with someone calling for me.
That someone was Gon. He was the one calling for me. I tapped a few times on Vergo's back. "You can put me down."
He turned to me. "Are you sure? You passed out. I think you shouldn't move so that you can recover." And said.
"I'm fine. Put me down." He did as I said and placed me on the floor. I struggled to get up, when I did, I realized how Hisoka's bloodthirst took a tool on my body.
Vergo scratched his cheek. "Ehm, I have a message from Hisoka. Want to hear it?" For some reason he was a little weird.
Straightening myself and giving a deep breath, I looked at him. "Yeah, tell me."
"Hisoka said that he is waiting for the fruit to he rippen. And that he is excited see how far you will go." He said that with a wry smile.
After hearing what was Hisoka's message, goosebumps passed through my whole body. "I better be careful around him." I shivered slightly.
(Yeah, you have to be careful, Mitsu-kun. After all, your virginity belongs only to me. I will not allow someone like Kisoka to take it.) Nyarlathotep decided to throw salt in the wound.
At this moment, I could feel something acid at the back of my throat. 'I will mute you.' I told her before I took another deep breath, and tried to calm my stomach before I threw up.
"Are you done talking?" I heard Kurapika asking. "If you are we better continue and reach the second point or else, we are going to get disqualified."
I fixed my clothes and said. "Let's go then." I looked around , searching for the way.
Seeing my confusion, Gon sniffed before pointing. "It is that way. Leorio's cologne is recognizable from very far away." He walked in front.
Widening my eyes, I followed behind him. "Are you a dog? Or, at least, descendant of a dog?"
"None of the two. It is just that my senses are sharp." He said.
Like this we continued to follow our guide dog until we reached the second point. On it, there was a young woman with questionable choise of clothing and a fat man right beside her.
"I am a Gourmet Hunter, Menchi." The woman said.
She had the back of her hair tied into 5 top knots and wore a bikini top with a mesh shirt worn over it paired together with a fit body, alongside daisy duke denim shorts.
"And I am Gourmet Hunter, Buhara. I am the one that will give you all a test. My test is for you to find a pig and cook it. We will be the judges of that food." The the fat man said while he caressed his belly.
'Hmm. Hunt the pig is easy to accomplish. However, the problem is the cooking part. Neither me or Vergo know how to cook and knowing how picky Menchi is, we are in deep trouble.' I thought before I dashed towards the forest.
Then after a few minutes wandering in it, I hid on a bush and waited until one of those pig passed by me. When one of them did it, I killed him by firing a bullet on his soft spot. After doing this, I looked at Vergo. "Vergo, kill them by hitting them in their soft spots. They have big noses so that it can protect their weakness." Then I carried the pig and returned.
After this, I roasted the pig and delivered it to Menchi. I knew that there was no use in taking this test seriously. In the end, Menchi simply kicked the food I made away.
Scratching the back of my head, I thought. 'It is time for me to swallow my pride and show a trick that I never expected to use. But I have to take advantage that I still have 11 years.' Then I looked at Menchi with big puppy eyes and with a sweet voice, I asked. "Onee-chan, won't you pass me?"
She looked at me and made a slight smile. "Your dark aura is passing through your cute face. You may be cute but I can see your intentions from very far away."
Deactivating my trump card, I massaged my temples. "Tch. What a shame."
(Kyyaaaaaaa! Your only Onee-chan is me!) Nyarlathotep complained.
Ignoring her rantings, I said. "At least it was worth the shot." And saw that Vergo came up after me and had the same fate as me. Rejection.
I saw examinee after examinee failing in the test. Well, in the end, she failed everyone just becauze she was picky. At this moment, Todo, one of the examinees became furious and destroyed his kitchen stand because he couldn't accept the outcome of the test.
Buhara, the fat Gourmet Hunter, punched the man and sent him flying. Taking this chance, I took my gun out and aimed at Menchi. 'If Netero doesn't show up, I will kill her.' My finger was almost pressing the trigger when. (If you fight against her, you will die.) Nyarlathotep stopped me.
This made me sigh before I putted my gun away. 'It isn't worth risking my life. Besides, I kinda want to have her in my family since I like her temper. She would be a great chief.'
(Hell no! She dresses like a slut! I cannot allow such huntress to be close to my little brother. She might take your virginity away, taking my private property away from me! How can I allo-.) Even sentence she made increased my anger.
It reached a point where I simply said. 'You know, one of these days I will shoot you.' Before cutting our link.
At this moment, I looked up and saw Netero jumping down the airship.
Netero appeared to be a helpless old man, but I knew that this was was not what he truly was. He had a ponytail, thick beard, and stretched earlobes with two piercings in both ears. He was wearing a kimono and pair of geta.
When he touched the ground, he asked. "Hunter Menchi, why have you failed everyone?"
"Their attitude towards us, Gourmet Hunters, angered me. However, I know that I wasn't supposed to do that. That is why I give up on my position as an examineer." She said.
Every sentence she made picked my interest even more.
"Hmm. It will be hard to find a replacement for you in such a short notice... Menchi, I will give you a chance to redeem yourself." Netero said.
"Okay. Chairman Netero, could you take everyone to the Split Mountain?" Menchi asked.
"Very well." He said before he signaled.
This made the airship descend and, after this happened, everyone entered inside it. While I did it, I thought. 'Inside this airship, I will see how big is the difference in strength.'
