Chapter 9: Marry Me
"Do you really think ending your life is going to help?" The man asked.
Tang Meili who was still in a daze, frowned when she heard a familiar voice. "Instead of just ending your life like this, why don't you do something productive with it"
Tang Meili frowned deeper and asked, "What do you mean?"
Pulling her closer, he said, "Marry me."
Zhengyi's POV
After hearing that Tang Meili was not getting married Mu Zhengyi felt immense joy in his heart. But when the thought of her being heartbroken struck his mind he froze. He had to make sure that she doesn't do anything stupid. He was very sure now that he loves her and now he will make sure he gives her everything she deserves in her life and make her his forever. He had to find her.
As Mu Zhengyi boarded his car, he looked at his assistant and asked," Where is she?"
"Sir Miss Tang is walking on the road for an hour sir. Our men are following her."
he crunched his eyebrows and thought 'walking? Where is she going now in this heavy rain?'
"Sir I got the location. Are we going there?"
After hearing Han Zihao questions, Mu Zhengyi threw dangerous daggers at him. Seeing Mu Zhengyi dangerous expression, Han Zihao thought 'Stupid Zihao stupid question obviously we have to follow Ms Tang'
Without looking at his boss Han Zihao gave the chauffeur the address and asked him to start the car.
During the whole journey there was pin drop silence in the car. When the chauffeur and Han Zihao saw the cold expression on My Zhengyi's face they were terrified. Han Zihao was silently praying to God ' Why God Why? Why can't my boss be like a normal boss? Why does he have to be so cold and dangerous?

"Where is she heading to?" Zhengyi asked
"sir...rr" Han Zihao said with some shutter in his voice.
"what? say fast" Zhengyi said with some danger in his voice.
"Sir, looks like Ms. Tang is in trouble," Han Zihao said with a scared face.
"What do you mean by this? What happened?"
"Sir, just now one of the man called and said Ms. Tang has come across some thugs and situation doesn't look good for her"
Mu Zhengyi right now was looking like a devil emerged from hell.
When Mu Zhengyi heard the word 'THUGS' his world suddenly stopped. He could feel his body turning numb.' Thugs why would she meet some thugs? What if something happens to her... no no I cannot let that happen.'
"Drive faster" he yelled at the chauffeur.
After hearing his boss yell, the chauffeur gulped in nervousness and said," Yes sir." before increasing the speed.
During the whole journey, after every minute Mu Zhengyi shouted the chauffeur to drive faster. Han Zihao had never seen his boss like that. He was by My Zhengyi's side for 5 years and today was the first time he was seeing him in a miserable and helpless state.
Seeing Mu Zhengyi like this, Han Zihao knew that his cold and aloof Boss also had a weakness and that weakness was Ms Tang Meili.
After countless minutes of waiting, the car finally stopped," Sir we have arrived
Without glancing at his assistant and chauffeur, Mu Zhengyi got out of his car and started walking towards the Tang Meili.
As he was walking he could feel his legs becoming numb and thoughts like 'What If I am late? What if I lose her forever this time? What if I won't be able to save her started revolving inside his head

Just as Mu Zhengyi was thanking God, he saw her standing between those thugs with her eyes closed. Ready to jump in front of a car coming, maybe to save herself.
