Inside the room Hazel put her head between her knew, She sighed, she didn't wanna say those hurtful things to her dad, but after years of being ignored and abused, she had had an outburst and now she regretted it, because her mum always told her to respect elders, even if they are wrong.
She sighed and made up her mind, Hazel got up and opened the door to find Leo and Day playing PUBG on the PlayStation, she looked at her dad and her gaze drooped as she spotted him crying.
She sighed and noisily went to the kitchen counter in front of her dad, She pulled out a bottle of water from the fridge, took a few gulps and said, without looking at her dad, 'We are gonna get you out ta here, and for that we need information' Hazel looked at him in the eyes, She sat down in front him, gesturing Leo and Day to sit with her
'What kind of information?' Her dad asked. She didn't reply and passed the bottle of water to him, it his his hand gently and he winced, a gesture which went unnoticed by Hazel, she frowned at her dad who quickly hid his expression
'Your hand, show me your hand' Hazel demanded.
Her dad winced at her tone and hid his hand.
Hazel approached him and pulled out his arm and pulled up his sleeve, Leo and Day gasped, while hazel just gritted her teeth loudly, after composing herself she looked her dad in the eyes, and her dad shrunk at the fire in her eyes. She looked ready to kill, he was not usually a guy who would shrink away from his own daughter, but she didn't look like a child Anymore.
"His own daughter' These words echoed in his mind and regret weighed him down.
'When have you called her a daughter for 6 years?' a voice in his mind demanded.
'Who did this to you?' Hazel asked in a calm voice, silence before a storm
'Tanda' Her dad muttered, he looked at her fists and leaned away from her, she has fisted her hands so hard that you could see the multiple nail groves,
Meanwhile, Hazel's mind was crying, she had resisted the urge to breakdown at the sight of her fathers arm, it was caked with dried blood and huge grooves ran along the length of his arm, it made her realize he was tortured, Tanda, she had a score to settle with her, multiple scores, but for now she had to plan.
Hazel stormed to the drawer and pulled out bandages and antibiotic ointment.
She went to him and sat down on the floor beside him, he looked seriously surprised, she took his arm and started dabbing the wound, he winced but he didn't jerk away, after bandaging his arm she looked up at her dad to find him crying again, she stood up and sat beside Day, but before that she sat down she saw the pleased expressions of Leo and Day.
She looked at him, he had stopped sobbing and she continued 'Information about what happened to this world'
Her dad looked at the 2 other guys.
'This is Day and Leo, they're my friends' Hazel introduced
Day nodded at him curtly.
'Well, you already know more than half story and uh...'
'Why did they torture you?' Hazel cut through his words.
'They didn't, it was just, you know the war...'
'I know signs of torture and scars of war' Hazel interrupted.
'They were trying- trying to get Xander's and Daniel's information'
'YOU KNOW WHERE THEY ARE?!' Hazel almost yelled, startling the guys.
'No, I don't know where they are, but they thought I knew' He muttered again.
