Chapter 3: Heavenly Ice Constitution
"Just because you are unsuitable for the way of the sword does not mean that you are a waste. If I take this whole Sect, the people who have the same amount of potential as you can be counted with one hand!"
"It's because you have the Heavenly Ice Body."
Yin Xiu became shocked. She didn't expect that she had a divine constitution.
"Are you sure master? I am just a normal person."
Chen Jiang shook his head.
"I am certain. However, it is still lying dormant in your body. I will awaken it to the first stage now. This will increase your cultivation speed by a dozen times. First, get into the tub."
Yin Xiu felt that her only chance for greatness was if she followed her master. She followed Chen Jiang's instructions to the t.
"The water will be hot, but you have to bear it. Remember, the more hardships you overcome, the stronger you become. There are various expenses in the tub along with the boiling water. The main essence is the Ice Spirit Grass essence. You will feel the energy around your body if you concentrate. If you try to guide the essence into your body, the process will finish quicker."
Yin Xiu found that everything was as her master had said. She was able to feel the gentle way nervy around her body. However, when she brought it into her body, her body turned very cold. Normally, she would have jumped out, but her Master's words motivated her. She stayed in the tub for over an hour.
The energy from the Ice Spirit Grass went into her body and rested in her dantian. Before going into the cantina, the energy had circulated throughout her entire body and expelled all the impurities. Soon, the tub became black from the initial blue color.
After one hour had passed, Chen Jiang told Yin Xiu to come out. Yin Xiu came out and there was a thin layer of black impurities that was attached to her clothing. Chen Jiang waved his hand and the impurities disappeared.
"You must feel uncomfortable. Take a bath in the bathroom in the back of the cottage."
Yin Xiu went to the back and took a bath. The moment she did, she noticed something different. Her movements were easier, and she felt lighter than before. The more important thing to Yin Xiu though, was that her skin had become whiter than before.
She quickly finished her bath and wore the clothes in the bathroom that were prepared by her master. Then she rushed outside to report her findings.
"Master! My skin became fairer than before!"
Chen Jiang laughed lightly.
"I just awakened your constitution. Your cultivation probably became dozen times easier and you are more concerned with your appearance."
Yin Xiu's face reddened.
"It's okay. As a girl, there is nothing wrong with your appearance. However, remember that you are not too engrossed with it. Now go take some rest. Tomorrow, I will help you cultivate."
Yin Xiu went to one of the rooms in the cottage. While the cottage looked small from the outside, it was very spacious inside with 5 rooms. This was nowhere close to what the other mountains had, but it was enough for the master-disciple duo.
Yin Xiu slept immediately since she was exhausted. When she woke up, she noticed that it was light outside. She went outside to see and saw that it was already the afternoon. She saw that her master was basking in the sunlight.
"Master! I am sorry that I slept for so long. I didn't expect that it was afternoon already."
Chen Jiang looked back and saw Yin Xiu.
"Afternoon? How much time do you think you slept? It has been one and a half-day."
Yin Xiu was shocked that she had slept for so long.
"Stop thinking too much. The awakening of your constitution was exhausting for your body. Now go get the sword in the cabinet of your room."
Yin Xiu rushed to her room to get her sword. She came back within a minute.
"Master, didn't you say that it was not right for me to cultivate the sword."
Chen Jiang shook his head.
"What do you think sword cultivation is? You must cultivate around your sword. There are specific cultivation techniques for it. You must give all of your time for it. As for what I am teaching you, it is not sword cultivation. It is simply a way of fighting with the sword. In the end, how are you going to fight? With your fists? If you fight in the new disciple competition with your fists, they will turn into a worse condition than the plants that had to be watered by your bath water the day before!"
