Chapter 23: Out and Away

Azviel yawned. "Wouldn't it be hella suspicious if a bunch of monsters just pop out of nowhere?"

Falziel tilted his head. "I suppose so, but I was planning to teleport them to Falthea Peak. Wouldn't that make it fine? Nobody bothers to go to that place anyways."

Azviel nodded. "Alright. First, teleport everyone to over there, and then we'll teleport the two S-Rankers and ourselves back to Elsia."

With a single flap of Azviel's black wings, all of the shadows gathered down below him. Rya and Felton were still unconscious before them.

Falziel frowned as he looked as Azviel. "You certainly don't look like you just completed a S-Rank dungeon. At least make it look like you struggled!"

He quickly purposely made a few cuts, letting blood drip down his arm and head.

Azviel sighed. "I can't do that. Look what happens." He made a cut on himself, but it instantly healed a second later. "It's impossible. I'll just stay like this."

Falziel shook his head and grabbed out his sword and covered it in holy light. "Holy Slice: Shallow."

A bright light appeared and made a cut along Azviel's arm. A burning feeling instantly covered his wound and he hissed. It didn't automatically heal, but it was still healing slowly.

Falziel made a surprised face and looked at his wound. "Oh wow~ Your regeneration abilities are off the charts! Normally demons hurt with holy wounds wouldn't be able to regenerate. Guess I just need to try something different!"

Azviel held up a hand to stop him. "Wait Falziel-"

Falziel lifted his sword up. "Holy Slice: Deep." Another bright light appeared and this time, it dug straight through Azviel's arm, chopping it off. He grabbed onto Falziel's collar, growling. "I told you to WAIT!"

The stump on his hand was not profusely bleeding. Falziel covered his mouth. "Oops- I'm sorry, Azviel. Holy Light: Healin-"

Azviel covered his mouth. "Stop. Any spells with the holy attribute would only damage me more. Stay there and don't say anything!" He pushed Falziel onto the corner.

"Hell Fire: Regeneration." Black fire covered the area where his hand once was. In a few seconds, it vanished and Azviel's hand was back. "You are an idiot. Stay where you are and don't move."

Falziel sat down on the ground and nodded. "Yes, yes."

Azviel quickly gathered all the shadows around Falziel. "We're ready." He carried the two S-Rankers in his arms.

Falziel nodded. "It might burn a tiny bit. It does have the holy attribute after all. Holy Light: Teleportation!"

With a bright flash, the world around the spun before finally stopping. They were now at the place where Azviel met Falziel.

Both of them turned around to see that more than half of the shadows have turned to dust. Falziel covered his mouth. "Oh- I forgot that I should have lowered the amount of spell power- I was just so used to Azviel resisting everything!"

Azviel hit him on the head, hard. "I told you, you were an idiot. No matter." He turned to the shadows."Stay here and do whatever you want. I'll be returning to Elsia."

The shadow demon captain bowed. "As you wish, my liege."

With that, Falziel raised his arms again. "Holy Light: Teleportation."

All of them landed back at the area where they entered the dungeon. Falziel placed down the two S-Rankers down onto the ground and shook them. "Wakey, wakey!"

Rya came to first, sitting upright and holding her head. "What happened...?"

Azviel turned to her. "Both of you got hurt and fell unconscious. We cleared the dungeon."

She stretched herself out and stood upright. "Just the two of you? Ouch...but that dungeon was strange. There was almost two times the amount of shadows we were told. And you cleared it by yourself?"

He nodded. "We did. How else do you explain the dungeon being closed?"

Rya frowned. "I suppose so...but are you sure you didn't use an instant teleportation stone to get out or something?"

Azviel tilted his head. "Instant teleportation stone? What's that?"

She made a shape with her hands. "It's about this size. It's a stone with a small glowing rune on it. It costs millions of dollars because it can save someone's life in the dungeon. It's one of the only ways to get out of a dungeon once you enter it."

Falziel finished binding Felton's wounds before turning to her. "No, we cleared it. I'm glad you're safe, Rya!"

Felton came to, not long after. He groaned as he sat up. "Rya...?"

She gasped and hugged him. "Felton! You're awake! Keres and Falziel saved us!"

He hugged her back. "Thank you for saving us. We appreciate the gesture."

Azviel ignored them while Falziel smiled. "We're a party, it's only natural after all. Let's head to the Player's Guild first to claim the rewards and get you healed."

They both stood up, supporting each other. Falziel helped Rya carry Felton. The S-Rankers only had mild injuries, but the impact that they were knocked out at, hurt them quite a bit.

Azviel helped walk them towards Elsia's gates, but they were stopped at the entrance. "Halt! We would like to see your identity cards."

Rya and Felton pulled out theirs, but Azviel and Falziel stayed silent, trying to shy away from the attention. The guards checked theirs and turned to them. "Identity cards, please!"

Falziel looked away from the guard and put on an innocent face. "Uh...would you believe me if I said I lost mine?"

Azviel looked away too. "And I also lost mine...?"

They could be feel the guard's suspicion rising. Rya and Felton called out, "You can just show them your Player Guild's tag, you know."

Both of them let out a sigh of relief as they pulled out their tags. The guard checked them over and bowed. "You may now enter Elsia."

Falziel let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god. Now, let's collect what we earned, shall we?"
