Chapter 49: Mr. TeddyBear!

"Who is he?" Ansh asked.

"A friend. You are here for dinner, right. Come in," she tried to brush him off.

"Does your mom know you were with him?" he was really pissed off, especially since he had witnessed them in the morning.

"Of course, she does," she replied, not giving him the answer he wanted.

They had already entered her house, and she was going to her room while he was following behind her. Somya just kept walking, ignoring the irritating fly buzzing near her.

"Somi, you know you can tell me anything," he said, pretending to be a good man.

"We are talking about secrets? Why don't we start with you then? You can tell me anything Ansh," she turned to face him on reaching the door to her room. She has no intentions to allow her in.

Her stare made him panic in fear, but he was sure that she hadn't seen him in the restaurant with Vaani. So, he turned from a barking dog to a sly fox and tried to flirt with her,

"Darling, you already know everything about me," he gestured for her hand, but she paid no attention to his hands and remained still, boring holes in his head from her icy glare.

"So then you may head towards the living room. I am a little tired, so I am going to come down after some time."

"Are you going to bathe, dear? Should I join you?"

"Why? Didn't you bathe before coming here? Then I am sorry, we invited you here for dinner, not for a bath," she deadpanned him and closed the door on his face.

Ansh was fuming at her attitude but then an evil smile spread on his face and he murmured, 'Bitch, remember once we get married you would be under my mercy. I will take good care of you then.'

On the opposite side of the balcony, Varun's mind was restless. He can't stop himself from glancing towards her balcony after every few seconds.

He knows that she doesn't like her fiance at all, but the fact that they are still connected and are spending time together right now bothers him.

He wishes if he could just listen to their talks from here, but then he was the one who wanted to live powerlessly.

Sigh. Varun sat at the table near his balcony. Since he started enjoying the view over his balcony, he decided to shift his study desk near it. Now it is serving as a new study corner in his bedroom. When Rahul questioned him why is he working in his bedroom rather than his study room, he just brushed him off. He told him, 'It's peaceful sitting here, and I feel refresh.' Now it's a little secret between his mind and heart that why he feels refresh sitting here.

Varun's wish was granted, and Somya entered her balcony.

His phone rang, and it flashed only one tiny name, but that name was enough to make him move the corners of his lips up in a smile.

It flashed 'S.'

Previously, Varun had no time to waste on saving her number, so he just kept her number as 'S,' and later he forgot about changing it.

He picked the call, and her same sugary sweet voice greeted him, "Hey Teddybear!"

"Teddybear? What kind of name is that?"

"Why? You don't like it?"

"No."

Somya thought for few moments while holding her chin with her fingers, her same old habit.

She replied, "No? Who cares! I will still call you TeddyBear!" and she started giggling.

Varun was watching her every move so intently as if he is memorizing them. Hearing her mean response, he clicked his tongue in fake annoyance. But she just kept giggling, and her giggles echoed as music to his ears.

"Hey, my new TeddyBear, come to pick me up from my office at 5 a.m," she ordered out of the blue.

"Why? Where is your pink scooter?"

"I won't be using it tomorrow. It's a celebration in my office tomorrow so I'll be going there with my colleague on her ride," she explained.

"Hmm. Okay."

'Knock knock'

Someone knocked on Varun's door. Varun turned to find an angry-looking Rahul standing at his door.

"I will see you tomorrow." He hung up on her first, and Rahul gets himself settled on the sofa.

"What is it?" He knew his brother is here to throw a tantrum, and he can even guess the reason, but he still decided to play along as always.

"Lately, you have been skipping work too much, brother," Rahul stated and started pointing out his charges.

Varun settled himself and waited for him to complete as he knows there is still more nagging left.

"Well, I am glad that you are finally allowing others to work as well rather than handling everything yourself but," Rahul paused and crossed his arms and legs while giving Varuna a glare which says, 'You wanna tell it yourself.' But Varun behaved as he can't understand what he is trying to ask.

"Sigh. Varun, do you know how many times Maa called me to ask if you are available?... You know she is working quite hard to find you...a wife," Rahul pretended to be worried for him as if he wasn't the one who planned this all himself.

"Tell her that I am busy," Varun replied indifferently. His mother had already talked about this to him many times, and he uses the same excuse every time, so it's nothing new for him.

Rahul smirked and crossed his fingers while resting his elbows on his knees.

"And where are you busy, brother?"

"..."

Varun decides to respond to him with silence.

"Okay, so should I tell her that you are busy, or should I tell her you are busy with a girl. I think the latter one will help us more."
