Chapter 51: An Unexpected Kiss!
"He is here. Let's go," and they both get into his car. Just as she predicted, he was sure that his confrontation with Ansh is inevitable today. He wished to sort out everything with him today as there are not many days left before their engagement.
Varun doesn't want Ansh to haunt his silly girl every day, giving her nightmares. He had seen her enough times staring at the moon to understand that something is bothering her. He can't tell why but he feels upset whenever he looks at her lonely self sitting under the moonlight.
He was determined to help her in breaking her engagement from this scum. If this trick fails, then he would use his harsher ways to deal with him. So, he was in his all-evil mode today.
Varun doesn't want to make others misunderstood her. So, they drove to Central Park, and Ansh's car trailed behind him.
At the same time, somewhere in the Western Rajasthan, a man was relaxing on a large leather sofa in a dark room. It was scorching hot outside because of the Thar desert of the Western Rajasthan, but it has no effects on the young prince of the desert, who was resting leisurely at his luxurious place.
The little sunlight coming from the windows was enough to reveal his rough yet civilized features. He had his long black hair tied up neatly behind, and his eyes were dark and sharp. He had honey-colored skin with exquisite features, and a dark aura was surrounding him.
Right now, he was sitting languidly with his long legs perfectly crossed over each other, listening to his attendant's reports.
"Hukumsa*, the person called us again today. They were asking about when are we going to make our move. How should I reply, Hukum*?" his attendant asked with his head lowered in respect.
The man whom he addressed as his 'Hukum' responded with a grunt and thought for a moment before replying, "Soon."
This attendant was following him for years. So, he immediately understood his master's words. He wanted him to tell those people that they are going to attack soon. So, he quickly ran to comply.
After reaching the park, Varun went out first to open the car's door for her. When he even offered his hand to her, Somya felt dumbfounded for a while. She took a moment to realized that he is only behaving like this to make Ansh jealous. So, she quietly followed his need. But what he did next made Somya flinch.
When she stepped out of the car, Varun gently placed his hand on her waist, which was currently bare to him. It was the first time that a boy had touched her waist, and the touch of his fingers on her skin made Somya gasp. She felt jolts of current coming from the spot where his fingers grazed.
'Ah! It's just an act! Only an act!' she kept muttering to herself, but her heart wasn't listening to her, and it kept on skipping beats. The fangirl inside her was leaping happily and yelling, 'Just hug him! Pounce on him! Take advantage of the situation, you fool!'
Ansh was following them closely, waiting for the right moment. He was already fuming inside but wanted to watch more. The more he can collect evidence over her, the more he can use them against her. There is no way he is going to let her off today!
Suddenly, Somya halted in her steps, and she pulled Varun in front of her. Now he was standing opposite to her, facing her.
Varun frowned at her sudden action. He was about to question when she beat him in speaking and asked,
"Is he watching?" she whispered.
"Who?" he spoke in his usual deep voice with no intentions of hiding it.
"Ansh."
"Yea." From where he was standing, Varun can see Ansh glaring at them from few meters away.
Ansh was thinking of himself as the innocent fiance who got cheated by her fiancee and has no plans to hide his presence. So, he was standing there and trying to intimidate Varun with his stare.
Varun can't tell what Somya was planning to do this time. But as he had already made eye contact with Ansh, so it's time for them to have a good chat over her.
"Step aside," he told her.
Not only did she not moved to the side, but she gave him an evil grin too.
"Let's end this here!" she said with her eyes smiling at him.
Before Varun can understand the hidden meaning behind her words, she pulled him towards herself. For closing the rest of the distance between them, she stood on her tip-toes. Before Varun can guess the reason behind her actions, Somya kissed him.
She kissed him!
