"D rank, go over there and fill the papers out, next" a lady behind the desk said, giving out paperwork everytime someone gets scanned

Egam stood before a machine designed to measure the Mana of an individual, it didn't cost a penny to use but it was sure tense for many awakened people as the rank they get is permanent and will determine how much income they'll receive, just like passing the most intense interview ever. Even as low as B rank could set your life on the easy road but as for E rank... not much rainbows and sunshine.
It was an easy thing to do, she just had to place her hand on a dark screen and wait for a few seconds. As she placed her hand on the screen her surroundings began to melt as her vision blurred, she remembered what the unknown man who barged into her apartment said to her, to stop "them" or die trying.

Her vision became very blurry to the point that the lady behind the desk seemed like a smushed painting, the walls drip down like melting ice and a slight pain from her hand touching the Mana scanner emerged out of nowhere. Almost as if she was allergic to something or perhaps, sensitive to something which gave her the pain.
"E rank, fill out these papers over there, next"
The pain and blurry vision stopped as soon as she pulled her hand away from the machine. She immediately checked her hand for any injuries which confused the people behind her and the lady behind the desk.
"umm.. These papers, fill em up over there" the lady said to Egam who was spaced out the whole time
"oh! Sorry, I was thinking about something important" Egam answered as she grabbed the papers handed to her
"that's what they all say... Next!"

"huh?" the lady behind the desk reacted
For some reason the machine did not react when the person behind Egam touched it, he had a toned build to him however his face was covered with a facemask and some sunglasses so people didn't know his identity.
"try again"

"the hell going on?"
Time went by quickly as the higher ups tried to handle the situation, it was revealed that the man was too powerful to be measured and was instantly given the S rank title which stunned every single person in the room including Egam. A shining bright star appeared, outshining all the people who got the measly E rank.
"lucky..." Egam mumbled to herself while she was filling up the paperwork she had to do at the corner of the room

"here's your hunter license, congratulations"
"t-thanks" Egam answered, holding her hunter license
Since hundreds of gates pop up everyday, going into any guild was as easy as breathing as they needed every hunter they could find to fill in their numbers, the only thing that was important for guilds was the amount of high ranking hunters they had such as A and S.
(I got into the Venus guild and there were plenty of low rank gates for me as well, all i have to do is apply to a raid and earn some cash... But... I don't know how to fight though.. I don't mind gore since I play a lot of gory games but I dont think I can even land a Punch.. Am I screwed again? Wait! Don't they usually do test on lower ranked gates for new hunters? I heard they were guided by a high ranking hunter for protection, plus you still get paid for clearing it)

Venus guild is the biggest guild in the US and is run by the S rank hunter, Christopher. Its S rank count excluding Christopher is over 34.

The room they entered in was as massive as the house they entered in, countless of chandeliers were hanged above the high ceilings. The massive room was made up of multiple floors that stacked up in a neat stair like pattern. Much like the first floor which was flooded with people, all of the other floors were just as flooded.
"... President? Is what you are called?" A man said
Someone who wore military like clothing said with a bright smile despite the killer appearance, approached the President. His hair looks to be naturally colored white and yet he doesn't seem to have albino which was a sight for the foreign guest visiting. He had droopy yellow eyes but his gaze was unnaturally peircing for those who wish to lock eyes with him.
"Abraham.. President of the US, let us call each other by name shall we?"
"I am Parzival, I'm the knight leader for the Kings Royal guards.. I'm here to escort you and your?..."
Parzival stared at the president's many bodyguards who followed right behind him, not only Parzival but all of the other guest stared at them with curiosity.
"oh, yall can bugger off to the choppers and slack off or something" Abraham said with a blank expression despite what he just said
"but sir, we can't just leave you behind-
"the 3 bodyguards that are S ranks can stay if you're so clingy, the rest of you A ranks can go away or just have fun in this party hehe don't go flirting Though, especially for you boys here.. it's ganna be a headache for my diplomats if any of you have a child here"

His bodyguards were shocked to see him say such an unprofessional sentence but they quickly remembered who he actually was, despite being a president he used to be the Guild master of the Venus guild and his wife being the vice guild master, after years worth of work both of them married and retired to fullfil their other dreams. Being a responsible leader that he was when he was a guild master, the people loved him and he won the election by a landslide. Since guilds sometimes had the power of a nation, Abraham who had hunter experience was just the right guy to be elected.
"Guild master... We aren't that unprofessional, the 3 FBH S ranks can go guard you during your stay please be safe" the FBH bodyguard said
"hoho, guild master you say? It's been years since anyone called me by that title"
"wait, Mister Abraham.. You were once a guild master?" Parzival asked in shock
"yup.. S rank hunters, me and my wife.. aah, I wish those days were back but we grew too old, now.. Lead us to your king"
"of course, he's on the 3rd floor.. He also told me that you can be informal with him if you want and oh! What about those other people you were with? The ones who aren't bodyguards" Parzival asked to make sure everything was alright
"oh those young guild masters? they can handle themselves... Continue leading us"
"yes of course" Parzival answered as they began their journey towards the king of this empire
