Chapter 70: Chapter 62: White Light
Persephone managed to drag Pruno with her around the whole castle of Hades, which was a perfect imitation of Olympus, only made out of black and bronze, with some halls being made out of pure gold with flowers of jewels and precious stones, which was impressive. Pruno wasn't so impressed by this because he had seen through dreams the palace as well as Persephone's collection of gems and precious items, Enychta didn't care as he was a little anxious and only focusing on Luke at the moment, and Luke was sleeping on his arms. Persephone first showed Pruno his room, it was decorated by her with the skeletons' help! The walls had flowery patterns made out of silver and gold, there were precious stones embroiled on the walls as well.
The door to enter the room was made with cherry blossom wood and on the door was carved the words Μικρό λουλούδι in Greek, which means Little Flower, the nickname Persephone calls him in his dreams.
The walls had tones of pink that were darker, giving this room a not so cheerful feeling, the bed wasn't pink thankfully but it was a light shade of red, which resembled blood easily! There was another door that would take them to another smaller room that Persephone wasn't sure what to do with it, so she just left it there for Pruno to do whatever he wants with it. "Thank you, mother." Pruno could only thank her while hugging her as well, Enychta soon entered the room and placed the sleeping beauty also known as Luke Castellan, who didn't even move as Enychta carefully placed him down on the blood-red bed. Imagine someone was just murdered, no, imagine that there was a massacre in a bed and all the blood covered the sheets!
That's the color of the bed Luke was lying on.
Eny sighed when he saw Luke shift comfortably on the bed, his shoulders, which were tense a few seconds ago, completely relaxed and slacked down as he sighed in relief and his whole body lowered, he kissed Luke's forehead before he sat down on the clean floor. He instinctively reached out to Pruno as he was being hugged by Persephone and pulled him into his arms, taking his whole body weight on top of the smaller, pink-haired boy who chuckled as Eny laid on top of him.
His body relaxed further and further as he trusted Pruno his weight, but he snapped his eyes open when he noticed that he was still on the floor, he picked Pruno up and pulled him into the red sheet with him, where he closed his eyes to sleep. He did not need to sleep, but he could if he wanted to, he did not sleep for the first hour or so as he kept quiet and vigilant to be sure that nothing would happen to them while they were there, but he noticed nothing and decided to sleep if anything ever happens he will wake up before he can be attacked anyway.
Thankfully they weren't. Persephone was a little upset that her time with Pruno was close to none, but as soon as he woke up she decided to show him her garden! And must I say, that place was the most beautiful garden in this world, it was even more beautiful personally! The plants here were more alive than you'd think, they moved whenever you'd get too close to them, lashing out at you... They only did that to Enychta as Pruno was Persephone's son and she was the owner id this garden, however, the plants also weren't too welcoming of the Lord of the Underworld that followed his wife around the garden, just like Eny did for Pruno.
Luke? He was sleeping so peacefully that Enychta didn't dare to think about waking him up for even a second.
Persephone showed them several of her fluorescent mushrooms, that glowed on the darkness of the underworld, some magical trees that produced their light to grow and perform photosynthesis, dark flowers that never blossom, whitering plants that looked like they were dead but were alive, and a single white glowing flower that looked amazing. Persephone stopped before the white glowing flower with a smile on her face and turned to Pruno, saying: "And this one here is for you." She gently took it out of the ground, it looked so natural that it was as if the flower itself used its roots to walk to her hands, where a small pile of dirt was.
"A gift for you, my son." She smiled as the plant quickly glowed and the warm, white glow that emanated from this flower illuminated the darkness of the Underworld. It was like finding a lighthouse in the middle of a storm when you are in a ship that desperately needs to go to shore... It is so reinvigorating and calming that it makes you want to follow its light. When the light died down, the plant on Persephone's hands had lost its glow and was slowly turning black and vanished by an invisible wind, blowing it away, because it was now nothing but black ashes.
Meanwhile
Enychta and Hades were little ways away from the mother-son duo who was enthusiastically talking about the plants and with the plants, they looked happy so Eny didn't care, Hades was the same. As long as she is happy and well, Persephone can do whatever she wants! Hades and Enychta had both the same smile on their lips as they watched their respective loves talk and joke, Hades turned his head and looked at Enychta, who was his size, looking more like an adult than a 15-year-old Demi-Protogeni who looked older than he was.
Hades had a thought and looked at Enychta's soul, not seeing anything out of the ordinary he lowered his voice as his eyes never left Persephone's moving figure, saying: "You love them, to the point of risking total damnation to protect them. That is rare... I've only seen Achilles and Patroclus do that for each other, and they were together for hundreds of years on Elysium before their love followed to their next life... But I can see that you already have that for them, that's rare." Without taking his eyes off of Pruno's small body, moving his hands, and talking to Persephone and some plants, he answered: "I would do anything for them... Anything." Eynchta turned his golden eyes to stare at Hades, who smirked like an anime character before chuckling low: "I like you kid... You are a Son of Nyx."
Suddenly there was a white light and Enychta looked over at Persephone and Pruno, the white light faded and what he saw what it did to Pruno, he was shocked.
