Chapter 5: The Auction House
Madam Rose took Zed to a room...
It was a lavish and bright guest room with a king-size bed, silk curtains, large windows, and shining ornaments. It had a sumptuous bathroom with a grand bathtub.
Madam Rose ordered her servants to bathe and doll him up. They were trying to remove his clothes, but he got nervous and asked them to exit the room. They thought he would run away, so they declined his request. He tried to convince them, but they refused him every time, so he finally gave up…
There were only male servants. They took off clothes and directed him to the bathtub… The servants helped him in taking a bath. The atmosphere was very awkward for him because he has never shown his naked body to a stranger. He had a toned body because he used to train every day.
Zed finished getting ready. The servants delivered him to the guards standing outside the room...
The guards held Zed's hand tightly and forced him… "Come with us!" they shouted.
"Hey, where are you taking me to?!" Zed asked
"To our lord, Madam Rose!"
(I hate her. Her surrounding aura is so dense and when our eyes meet my heart skips a beat.)
They entered a gigantic room. Madam Rose was sitting on a chair… "You look good in that golden-black suit. Now let's get going…"
They hopped in a carriage. Madam Rose and Zed were sitting in different carriages, but Zed's hands were cuffed and two guards accompanied him so that he won't be able to escape.

When they reached the Auction house, they took Zed into an empty room through the backdoor. They chained him; the chains were very strong, and they were 2m long: chains in his hands, his legs, and his neck, attached to the walls and ground so that there won't be any chance for him to run away. They locked the door from outside and told him to wait inside the room.
He looked around the room… It was a big, empty room with some lights. There was no window or chimney to escape. It was a blank room with four walls and a door...
(I'm just a 14-year-old kid, how could they wrap me up with chains!?. I'm not a hulk, I can't even sword-fight properly yet. Ughh… these chains are so bulky..)
"Hey, are you alive!" Zed shouted at Joker, he was irritated by those chains very much.
"Yes, now we have to carry out our plan." Joker replied.
"Yes. Let's hurry, we have to get out of here before they come for me."
"Yes, I'll be alarmed if someone comes in the 10m range."
There was a vent above the ceiling but it was covered with cement so Joker broke a part of the ceiling with his magic.
"Hey! I've done my part now hurry up!"
"Eh- let me out of these chains first!" Zed exclaimed.
"Oh yes, sorry I forgot to do that". Mr. Joker broke the chains and went near the door to guard. Zed stood on a chair and jumped five times to reach the ceiling. Finally, on his 6th attempt, he grabbed the ceiling. With all his might, he forced himself up and crawled inside the vent. The vent was dark and mice were crawling inside it. It was an old vent; not used by anyone, so there were chances; that the vent may break anytime and he might fall from it. So Zed was being very cautious while crawling.
After some time, Mr. Joker also joined him inside the vent…
"You should also sense if someone is trying to enter this vent." Zed said to Mr. Joker.
"Okay." he replied.

The opening of the vent was on the right side of the Auction house, there were hardly 3-4 guards on that side. They were almost out of the vent, but Joker sensed someone trying to get inside the vent. He told Zed to hurry. The guards were yet to announce the news of him escaping, so the security at the right side was still on loose… They rushed out of the vent….
Joker, with his magic, made everyone go into a deep sleep...
Zed bent down and searched for their sword. He picked up a light-weighted sword in case an emergency might befall upon them. They were rushing out of the grounds the of Auction house, suddenly some guards came running after him. He tried his utmost to get rid of them, but 2 more guards joined them. It made it difficult for him to outwit them so Joker and Zed cowshed with the guards...
Joker became invisible. He flew in the air and sprinkled some magic powder on the guards. The guards lost their consciousness and fell to the ground…
Joker turned to Zed, but he indicated him to go in another direction and watch out for other guards.
Zed already knew that Joker's magic was limited, and he has exhausted all his magic. He told Joker that he can handle this situation to reassure him…
Three guards surrounded him, a guard on his left, his right, and in front of him. Even though Zed looks like a fragile child, he knew how to wield a sword. But he lacked experience. He wanted to finish this fight before more guards join in, so he targeted their vital points. Zed held the sword in his left hand. He didn't spare any second. He lifts his left foot and aimed for the guard at the left. He took two quick, big steps and swung his sword with all his might.
*SLASH*
He slashed the guard's chest diagonally. Because of the loss of blood, the guard fainted. Zed turned back and glared into the guards' eyes. His eyes were shining brightly in the moonlight.
The other two left were staring blankly. They came to their senses after a few seconds and ran towards Zed at the same time. They both attacked him from both sides…
The guard approaching him from the right side was his next target. Zed turned his head to right, stretched his hand and slashed his eyes. Blood gushed out from the eyes…
"Aaaaaaaaaaaa…!" the guard shouted. His world went entirely dark… He said while whimpering, "I-I can't see anything!! M-MY EYES!..." his hands were shaking…
When Zed was targeting the guard on the left, the other guard took advantage of the situation and made a cut on Zed's hand with his sword….
Zed switched the sword to his left hand and clashed with the guard...
*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLASH*
It made it difficult for him to fight with his left hand. His blows were not strong enough to knock down an enemy. He collected all the last drops of his energy in his left hand and aimed for his stomach with all of his might, but he failed…
Zed lost his balance. The injured guard ran towards Zed but before he could attack him, Mr. Joker came and knocked him down with his magic…
No one was killed in this clash….

Madam Rose and her men started to surround the whole Auction house… Zed quickly ran to the nearby woods… He ran until they can lose the site of the Auction house. He climbed up and sat on a tree's branch. He put his hand on his chest…
*THUMP* *THUMP*
His heart was beating aloud. He tore a piece of cloth from his shirt and wrapped it around his right arm to stop the bleeding…
"Hey, I'm now going to take a nap. I've exhausted all of my energy." Joker was worn out because he overused his magic.
"No, what about me? They are still trying to hunt me down!" Zed was perturbed.
Joker's eyes were blinking "I believe in you…" Joker immediately slept after saying those words...
(You fool! I'm not that strong how could you leave this task of survival in my hands?)
*Sigh…*
(My path ahead is rougher. If I can't deal with this, then I can only forget about my parents…)
Zed was in a maximum alert position because danger may befall upon him anytime...

After an hour, a faint voice reached Zed's years… "Come out, my little fine product!… Stop playing hide-and-seek… I'm already out of this game....". Zed got alarmed. His legs started shaking after hearing Madam Rose's voice, but the voice was still faint, so he tried to run again; as far as possible.

*Huff* *Huff* *Huff*
Zed was panting. He was out of energy. He couldn't breathe properly, but he didn't stop. He was almost inside the core of the jungle, a place with gigantic trees and wild animals.
He was thirsty. He was hungry. His stomach was paining. He only had breakfast in which contained a piece of bread and an apple. But ran and ran. He desperately wanted to survive. His speed became slower and slower. There was no life left in his legs. They started to wobble...
After a few minutes, he started losing consciousness. He didn't want to close his eyes, but he couldn't stop it from happening….
(Why…. I don't want to sleep right now….. She will lock me up in a cage….)
*THUMP*
He fell to the ground and lost his consciousness completely.
