Chapter 5: “A royal”

Kayla's home….
"I guess it's time to go visit the Raven's family, your saviors? You promised their eldest child a visit, didn't you?" Kayla's mother "Yes, mother I did" respond Kayla "l shall get myself ready immediately" continued Kayla.
The ride to Snowdew was very very quiet except for the excitement from Magnus, Kayla's half stepbrother who couldn't wait to meet his sister's saviours and to see for himself if they were as cool as the princess and knights kept saying.

Azrael had been speechless at this sight of what or who was standing in front of him, "Sweety who is it ?". He had screamed and had ran straight into the man "daddy, I missed you why did the mission take so long!"
The mother had heard her son's voice, and rotated her head to face over her shoulder and had looked at her husband.
"Baby!! Your back, I really missed you!" She smiled as she had spoken those words.
Azraels Father had walked into the house and had a seat at the dinner table. "Mmmm, it smells really good! Honey, I am really hungry, you know. I would like to eat your food and you." Jack grinned at his last remark. "Jack! Azrael is here!" She had blushed at what her husband had said.
"Dad, don't be silly, how could you eat mommy." Azrael had said words that showed his innocents as a child.

The next day Kayla had arrived at 8am in the morning. Azrael and his family had already woken up and were getting ready to start their day. Suddenly there was another knocking on the door.
"Azrael is one of your friends coming over?" Alana had ask Azrael as it was common for one of his friends to come over, "No, I had not invited anyone, dad is one of your friends coming over?" Azrael looked to his father. His father had shaked his left and right head indicating a no.
"Mom, maybe it's one of those thief's that have been stealing in the village?"
"Well Jack, can you go check who's at the door for us?" Alana was a bit worried. Arzrael had been right, there had been a lot of breaking in and people getting hurt by thieves.
Jack had walked over to the door. His weapon had been behind the door, ready for an attack if it was an enemy.
"Well might as well open the door." Jack had reached for the door, the ravens were never really afraid if someone had knocked at their door. It was normal for people to be causing problems breaking in and trying to steal.
But this time around they had a baby again, Lucy.
The door came open and there stood 2 small figures, and 2 large ones behind them. Both tall figures in black had been strong, and their presence domineering.
"Azrael!!!" It was a girl's voice that had shouted for the raven's child. "Kayla?! Oh my word, I never thought I would see you again!"
Azrael's face had been shocked by the surprise. "*Who would've thought that a royal would actually come back to our home willing? Hahaha*" Jack had smiled at his thought "*My son is popular, if he can befriend a royal who knows what else he could do*"
"Azrael, I think that you should not forget what we promised for our play date. I had also said i would bring my brother Magnus." Magnus stood next to Kayla. Magnus had his pitch-black hair styled elegantly, he had his light caramel skin glowing along the sunlight of the morning sun and his light purple eyes that had looked straight into Azrael's silver eyes.
"*So this is the boy that had helped my sister? He does not seem like much. But my literature teacher once told me; you can't judge a book by its cover and neither can you judge a flower's beauty before it blossoms.*" Although head these thoughts going through his mind his face had smiled and he had acted friendly.
"Wow he does not look like you at all, but he seems super cool!" Had a smile that radiated with excitement. "*Wow, a new friend. Yes! I hope we can be good friend*" Azrael had thought.
"Dad, can you let them in ?" Azrael had a small smile on his face as he spoke to his father.
"Ah yes sorry" Jack replied
Kayla and Magnus had walked into the house while the 2 body guards had come in right behind them.
As they had walked in Kayla had, not before realized how comfy and homey the house is.
"Well can I give you a proper tour of my house?" Had decided that this was a good way to introduce his home to the newcomers.
"Well why not I never got to see your home before and this time I brought my brother." Kayla spoke in a tone that seemed a little excited. But magnus next her had not changed from the expression from when he first arrived.
"So as you cam in the kitchen and tables are on the right, while the Couch and TV are on the left. If you walk into the passage you will see a spare room on the right and the bathroom on the left." Azrael had shown them the first floor of their home. He had indicated to each room and area of the house.
He had also shown them his room and Lucy's on the second floor of the house. Kayla and Magnus stood on the second floor while the guards had sat down in the lounge with the parents talking.
"Wow your home is kinda big, how come the other houses are not as big as yours?" Kayla had admired Azrael's home; it was more than what she had expected for a family that seemed humble.
"*Is his dad an Official? Maybe he works for an organization or Guild?*" Magnus had not spoken and just admired the tour and was as shocked as Kayla at what Azrael's home looked like.
"Well my mom and dad save a lot of money and go hunting a lot. They are also very strong so they get paid to do high grade missions! My parents are the strongest in the village!" Azrael a son proud of his parents and had no doubt they were strong.
"Your parents should probably be really strong?" Kayla had raised a rhetorical question.
Azrael had replied enthusiastically "Yes!"

Later in the day but early afternoon Kayla popped the question
"Azrael I was wondering if you know maybe you wanna.." Kayla had spoken shyly.
Magnus had gotten used to Azrael and had seen his sister struggling to ask Azrael, "*Sister, I will just ask for you. Don't even know what's so hard about it?*"
"Would you want to do school studies with me and my sister?" Magnus had asked bluntly. He was not shy "*Why did my sister act as if she was proposing to him, lol*"
"Wait really? Me study with you guys? But I don't think my parents can pay." Azrael was shocked and excited for this offer but he knew unlike the royals his family did not have a lot of money.
"Well first off, yes we want you to study with us. Secondly, its free of charge for you and Lucy when she's old enough." Kayla replied firmly and as if she never acted shy just a few seconds ago.
"Wow!" Azraels hands were on his face, his mouth open but no other words came out. "*Oh my word, no way!*"
