Chapter 109: Spar
I cough at what Lady Morrigan just said and take a glass of water before drinking it. After a few seconds, Morrigan knows what is wrong with her phrasing and coughs a little before saying.
"What I mean to say is show me Gae Bolg. I did not want to see your 'spear'... yet."
Yet. That means she wants to see Shirou's spear in the future. I think she will do that after knowing that Shirou is a descendant or at least a Spirit Inheritor of Cuchulainn. It is a well-known fact that Morrigan has an obsession with Cuchulainn.
I guess I can see why this dinner party is only a mask for the Celtic Faction to ask about the legendary spear.
I nod my head when I see Shirou looking at me, asking for my permission. I really hope that Nasuverse Gae Bolg is the same as the one in this world or at least has the same nature that Morrigan and Scathach did not see the difference between the two.
Shirou takes a deep breath before summoning Gae Bolg into a new world. A second after the blood-red appears in the world; a massive bloodlust starts to leak out from the spear. It was like a feeling of a lion cornering its prey—a bloodlust of a beast that wants to drink a large amount of blood.
I look at Morrigan and Scathach, who look at the spear for a second before nodding their heads. The Great Teacher of Celtic hero decides to take the spear from Shirou's hand and examine it closely.
After a few seconds, she nodded her head, and I released a sigh of relief that I did not know I was holding back. She gives it back to Shirou before saying.
"Yeah, this is Gae Bolg. It has a different shape than the one I remember, but it has the same rune and effect. The spear also considers him as his master. He is not taking the spear forcefully."
Oh? Gae Bolg considers Shirou his master, huh? I guess I can see why. Technically, this Gae Bolg was created by Shirou after recording the blueprint of said weapon inside his Reality Marble. I guess I know the reason why Gae Bolg accepted him as his master as he is the creator of the legendary spear.
After saying that, Scatchach gave back the spear to Shirou, who let the spear disappear. She then looks at Shirou right in the eyes before saying.
"Fight me. Show me that you are worthy to bear the title of Culann's Hound."
Before Shirou could say anything, Dagda decided to interrupt the duel invitation by saying.
"Scatchach, I think you are going too fast, dear. They have just arrived here, and the food has yet to be eaten. Let them finish eating and drinking before they go and fight against you."
"... Very well."
Just like that, Scatchach, who is a well-known warrior, obeyed the word of Dagda, the leader of the Celtic Faction. After that, we continue to eat the food in front of us. While eating the food, I can see Lugh glance from time to time at Shirou as if he wants to say something.
I don't know what he wanted to say, but I know it was regarding his son, Setanta.

After an hour of eating and touring around the place, we finally arrived at the training arena. It was a massive colosseum-like training hall. The diameter of the arena is around two hundred meters long. However, what impresses me is the height of the arena. It was at least five hundred meters tall, unlike the previous hall that was only one hundred and twenty meters tall.
"And lastly, the training arena. This is where we usually train and experiment with a new technique or magic and also where you can fight Scatchach."
I look at Shirou, who nods his head at me. It was less troublesome to fight her now than rejecting her and dealing with the fallout later.
"Five minutes. You have five minutes to prepare."
After Dagda says that, he and the other gods leave us alone inside the arena.

Riser sees Shirou take a deep breath before walking toward the arena, leaving him and the other behind in the spectator area. He doesn't know how this fight will go, but he trusts Shirou to impress Scatchach.
Riser knows that Shirou will not win the fight. It was rather pessimistic of him, you might say, but there is a reason why Scatchach is one of the strongest mortals before the Celtic Gods granted her immortality. The only one that can defeat her in a polearm fight is Guan Yu, the God of War.
He knows that Shirou will lose the fight, but Riser hopes that Shirou will impress Scatchach.
"Medea, what kind of enchantment do you give him?"
"Three pocket Mana Burst, D-rank magic resistance, Twelve short teleportation spells around his arms, and one emergency energy booster."
Emergency energy booster was a type of pill that was created by the combination of Kara, Medea, Medea, Illya, and Rin. This pill will refill your energy core and give you a second wind to fight once again. Sadly, they can only use this pill once every year.
The reason? It damages anyone's core because it absorbs a massive amount of energy from the world at a very fast pace. If used within the span of one year, your energy core will explode from within and kill you.
Just like its name suggests, this pill is for emergency use only.
"Hmmm, no potion?"
"Shirou said that he did not need it."
"What?"
"We only bring poison and healing potion, master. Shirou already had Phoenix Tear in his pocket, and he did not want to use poison in this fight. This is sparring, after all."
"Ahh, Fair enough."
Riser looks at the arena and sees Scathach arrive in front of Shirou with a small smile on her face. Shirou nods his head and summons Gae Bolg to his hand before twirling it for a second and taking a low stance.
"Ahhh, that stance."
The purple-haired woman smiles before suddenly two spears appear on her hands. She twirls her spears for a second, and suddenly a massive bloodlust appears around the arena. The bloodlust is so strong that it easily crushed Gae Bolg's bloodlust.
Scathach's small smile becomes a bloodthirsty grin.
"Let's dance."
