Chapter 6: getting impaled by a sword does not feel good....
( I'm going to refer to the mc as Jin-woo and sometimes Sung I've also changed it for the last chapter.)
Jin-woo was with a group of people ready to enter the dungeon, before entering, Lee Jun-hee asked him about his facial injuries. Jin-woo just told her that he went to an E-rank dungeon.
You're probably asking why he didn't just wait for today instead of going into other dungeons risking his life.
The reason is that he still needs to pay for his mother and father's medical bills. The Korean government was a bitch, and apparently, they couldn't cover his dad's medical bills even though he risked his life in the Kamish raid.
So now, not only does he need to cover his mother's medical bills, but he also has to cover for his dad's as well. So instead of working less than the webtoon Jin-woo, he has to work twice as hard!
Jin-woo never complained though, it didn't matter to him how much he worked as long as his mom and dad were alive, till he gets the holy water of life then it's all good.
After talking with Jun-Hee, they started walking towards the group that was getting ready to enter the Dungeon.
Before they entered, a man, who was well over the age of 40, with slicked-back orange hair asked the group if he could be the party leader for the raid. Of course, everyone agreed because this man was none other than Mr. Song, the highest-ranked in the party and also the strongest.
After everyone agreed, they entered the dungeon, but before Jin-woo entered he muttered, "Wait for me mom and dad, I'll save you soon" and with that, he entered the dungeon.

In a cave-like space, you could see multiple people killing monsters, of course, this was the Jin-woo raid party. While the others were fighting, Jin-woo was on the floor, sitting down as he got healed by Ju-Hee. When Jin-woo looked back he saw people fighting which made him clench his fists. He was there doing absolutely nothing, while others were fighting.
He hated, and I mean hated, being powerless and weak. That's why he needs the system. Some of you may call him petty, and some of you may call him a bitch, but tell me if you were in his position; what would you do?
Ju-hee has known Jin-woo for quite some time now, she was always wondering what he was risking his life for. Since she had the chance, she decided to ask him. She looked at Jin-Woo with a concerned look on her face and asked softly "Do you have a reason… to risk your life being a hunter?" Jin-woo sat on the ground, getting treatment, looking at the fight with an expressionless face, he stayed silent for a moment before replying "My mom is in the hospital 24/7 because she has the illness Eternal Slumber…" Ju-Hee gasped in shock and he continued "My dad is also in the hospital 24/7 because he's in a coma."
After he finished speaking, he looked at Ju-hee to see her shocked and apologetic expression. She didn't know that he was doing it for his family, she always thought he was here just to have some fun and get some extra cash at the same time. Though when she thought about it, was really a dumb assumption because he was risking his life every time he walked into a dungeon, why would he need to risk his own life when he could get a normal job.
After a long minute, she finally spoke up "I'm so.." before she was able to finish her sentence, Jin-woo interrupted her with a rough tone "I don't need your pity, Ju-Hee." Ju-Hee stayed silent after that, unable to come up with any comforting words.
After Jun-hee finished healing, they got up to see that all the monsters were dealt with.
After the raiding party processed all the monsters, they had a talk about magical cores. If you don't know what a magical core was, then I'll explain.
A magical core is the core of a monster. Magic Cores are very important items and are the primary income for Hunters. In fact, they are the main reason why most Hunters keep being Hunters. They are extremely valuable and can make Hunters' lives easier.
The Core of a C-Rank-Monster is worth around 10 Million Won (or 10.000 Euro), while E-Rank-Core gives very little money.
After their discussion over splitting the spoils, a person from the raiding party screamed that he found another entrance. After he finished screaming, Jin-woo immediately flinches. He knows that in about 1 hour there's going to be an unavoidable massacre. He sighed to himself and followed the raiding party to the front of a cave.
Mr.song told everyone that this must be a double lair. He looked at the cave vigilantly before throwing a fireball into the cave to see how deep in it was, let's just say it was pretty deep.
Then, Mr.song told the group that the boss seemed to be in there and that, usually, they had to contact their guild and wait for orders but if they let the other hunters deal with it their profit would dwindle so he wished to kill the boss with the raiding party.
So he decided to let the 17 of them vote to see how many want to leave and how many want to kill the boss, the most votes win of course.
The group voted and it was split 8 votes for and 8 against. Jin-Woo has yet to decide to vote and was taking his time thinking carefully about the consequences. Mr.song decided to directly ask Jin-woo what it would be, go home, or go in?
This is what Jin-woo feared, he didn't want to be the last one voting because then he felt guilty for the ones that would die in the future, he thought for a few moments before sighing and finally deciding his answer.
Sung Jin-woo has morals and he will always follow them but he isn't a hero. If he has to sacrifice a few people for his family and him, then he will do it. No matter how fucked up it sounded, he had to do it. For the future, for him, and, last but not least, for his family.
So, he looked at Mr.song with an emotionless gaze and said "I'm going".

The raiding party was walking down the cave, some were complaining of how far they were walking in, and others were quiet. Jin-woo and Jun-hee were walking side by side, silently.

After a few minutes, they finally reached the boss room. They were greeted with a giant door that was blue with special yellow designs on it.
A man with a blue jacket and very short gray hair spoke up, "Isn't this place dangerous?" This man's name was Kim Sang-Shik. He was one of the older males in the raiding party.
After he said that, hunters began to express their fears and doubts. Mr.song said, "Are you going to return empty-handed after coming here? We could be the first ones to enter this dungeon… Those who want to leave can go, I'm going in there alone if I have to!"
Seeing Mr. Song's fearless appearance, most of them began saying positive things like how Mr.song already has 10 years of experience and how much treasure is in double lairs. They completely forgot about the negative thoughts. Most of them started thinking that with Mr. Song and everyone else, it would be easy to kill the boss.
Oh, how wrong they were...
Satisfied with the group's morale, Mr. Song finally opened the door and Jin-woo thought 'So this is it huh. The place I'm going to impaled... I gotta say it looks better than I expected it to be in real life' The door had two statues, one on each side. They walked into a massive circular room and looked around. There were statues around the room, each holding a different type of weapon. Some were holding instruments, some had swords, etc. As soon as they entered, blue fires lit up the room.

Mr. Song told them to spread out and look around the place. People were talking with each other about how scary the statues were and wondering if they were dangerous.
Jin-woo walked around inspecting the statues, he walked right in front of the biggest one in the room and looked up. It was sitting in a chair wearing priest's clothing with a thorned halo around his hat. Jin-woo looked at the statue with emotionless eyes, he knew that this bastard was probably laughing on the inside. Soon he will slaughter everyone in the room like the bastard he was.
Jin-woo looked at the statue right in the eyes, before hearing someone in the background scream, "Mr. Song!! Something's written here!!" Everyone turned to the person who shouted and walked over to inspect the hooded angel statue. Mr. Song explained that it was runic writing and read out loud "First, worship the Lord. Second, praise the Lord. Third, prove your faith. Those who do not follow these commandments will NEVER return alive."
Suddenly!
The door closed, some people started panicking, while others were thinking of what could have happened. While Mr. Song was reading, Ju-hee told Jin-woo that the biggest statue's eyeball moved.
A big man walked towards the door while saying, "You guys are spouting nonsense! It was a mistake to come here. I'm leaving!!" right before he touched the handle, Mr. Song felt something was wrong and screamed "STOP! DON'T TOUCH THE HANDLE!!!!"
*thud*
His scream was too late. The minute the man touched the handle, his head got cut off by the statue on the right side of the door.
Everyone immediately started panicking, not only did someone die but they just saw a statue, that can probably take on more than 5 A-rankers at the same time, move.
The temperature in the room instantly dropped.
Despite the temperature, Jin-woo was sweating. Everyone was sweating, they felt sick to their stomachs, Jin-Woo knew this was going to happen but there's a difference between knowing and seeing. Jin-woo turned his head and what he saw made him swallow his saliva.
He saw the giant motherfucker himself with a big ass grin on his face looking down at the group with glowing eyes. Jin-woo felt his scalp go numb, he knew that if he didn't do what he had to do, or made a single mistake, he would be dead.
The biggest statue's eyes were glowing yellow and there was smoke coming out of them. Jin-woo knew that he was about to shoot his laser, so he screamed "EVERYONE DUCK!!!" before throwing himself and Ju-hee to the ground, saving her life because she was too scared to move on her own. The rest of the group followed after him and a flash of light blinded them all.
*PEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWW*
(Basically laser noises like when Artoria used Excalibur in fate/zero)
The laser barely touched them but unfortunately, a few people didn't make it, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" a girl on the back screamed she was looking at a hand that was clearly not attached to a human body likes its suppose to be.
Some people tried to stand back up but Mr.song shouted, "DONT STAND BACK UP REMAIN IN YOUR POSITION IF YOU STAND BACK UP IT WILL ATTACK AGAIN"!! people immediately sat back down.
Mr.song looked at Sung Jin-woo with a shocked face for the first time in his life he saw Jin-woo with... emotions not only that if it weren't for the fact that he screamed to duck then everyone would have died. Mr.song asked Jin-woo, "tell me, Sung, do you know what we have to do" and then it began a trial for survival.

On an altar, made of two blocks, you could see 3 people, a man holding a woman over his shoulder and a young man with black hair and missing half his leg sitting against the altar. The man holding the woman was Mr.song and the woman was Ju-hee, and the man in question sitting was...sung jin-woo.
Everything happened just like in the webtoon and when I mean everything, I mean everything. the only thing and even though he expected Kim Sang-Shik to betray him but seeing firsthand made him mad! using a shitty excuse like, "I HaVe a FaMiLy" like bitch we all do stupid.
Anyway Mr.song was saying his goodbyes to Jin-woo, Mr.song didn't want such a nice young man to die he is the reason some people survived but when you think about it he is also the reason some of them died so...yeah.
Mr.Song turned around and with an apologetic expression, he said, "goodbye sung".then he ran towards the door with a tear running down his left cheek thinking it was the last time he was going to see Jin-woo but he was very wrong.
Sung jin-woo thought with a smirk on his face, `so finally the moment I've been waiting for years has come`.
He picked up the word that right next to him and aimed at the titan's or should I say statues coming at him and even though his face was all bloodied and his leg hurt like hell he said with the biggest smirk on his face " come!"
The statue with the lance walked up to Sung and stabbed Sung right through his chest, Sung threw up blood and screamed with all his heart. "EEEEEAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" it hurt like hell getting stabbed by a BIG ass lance through his chest. Then the statue with the lance picked up Sung with his lance and threw him on top of the altar.
Sung started remembering the fun times he had with his family, for instance when he was little his father used to show off his strength then later on getting in trouble with his mom. He cried because he wanted that again he wanted his whole family reunited and happy.
A statue with a sword walked up to sung and he lifted up his sword before he swung down his sword Sung jin-woo thought, `common please I beg of you system appear I need you more than anything so, please...APPEARRRRR!!!`
The statue swung down his sword each millisecond Sung got more and more scared until time stoped than it appeared...the system.
*ding*

Sung gave off the biggest smirk and screamed with all the energy he had left." I ACCEPT!!" then the altar exploded and what came off was light and the room was then covered in light.
you would've thought this was the end but it wasn't, after the explosion of light something else appeared again it was the...the system, but this one was different it had the same design as the one that appeared before Sung but instead of it being blue and the words white, it was black and the words were purple.
