Chapter 11: I kind of pity the zombies
When Michael came out of the white room or what he believes to be the system space he glanced discreetly at the others beside him only to release a sigh of relief when he realized only a second or more had past
Putting his hand to his ear, he clicked a button only for a silver hightech to appear and cover his ear, ignoring the astounded looks on his face he spoke into the piece
" Yuuki grab Shizuka and make your way to the staffroom, I'll meet you there after I get our bags " after Michael finished speaking he turned his attention to the four next to him, glancing at Saya he grabbed her hand before her turned to glance at Rei before he looked off completely ignoring Takashi and Hisashi on the side
" I'll only give you a short explanation right now, I'll explain more when we're safe " said Michael seriously causing the atmosphere to grow heavy, especially with all the screams and cries happening around them
" there's a virus that was spread, when it comes into contact with humans they become man eating zombies " Michael raised his hand to interrupt what they were about to say " yes I know that is sound completely ridiculous but that's the truth believe it if you want, if there's a problem we can separate now " when he finished he looked directly towards the two males before he looked at the nervous Rei and the thoughtful Saya
' she's not freaking out like I expected seems my presence made her feel secure enough to think calmly, not bad' thought Michael as he noticed Saya's reaction
" stick close to me and I'll do everything I can to protect you, outside of that you're on your own " only to freeze mid sentence as he dodged a arm that clawed at his head at snail pace
glancing at the zombies, Michael thought about how much strength to use to kill it since he was bare handed
' 40% should be enough ' thought Michael before he released a simple jab to the side of the zombies jaw only for it's head to explode sending it's brain matter all over Takashi and Hisashi since he pulled Saya out of the way
Michael frowned as he looked at the headless zombie ignoring the bewildered looks he received
' why did it's head explode? did I use to much strength? no even with the strength of 2 men I'd at most break someone's neck severely not tear their head of their shoulders. This needs to be investigated '
Turning towards one of the desk near by he gave it a casual tap or so he made it look like and made it shackle out, picking up the table legs he threw them and the agitated boys before he spoke
" we need to leave " said Michael as he took the lead walking towards the door, before he stepped out he glanced over his shoulder at Saya " take notes my little genius " he said before he walked out, deliberately not saying anything to the others
" what do you mean? ... and who's your little genius " shouted Saya as she ran after him after glancing at Rei leaving a dumbfounded and hesitant trio
" Rei we need to leave and find some place safe to hide " said Takashi as he grabbed Rei by the arm and tried to pull her out of the room
Before she could reply, Hisashi on the side spoke up and agreed to his suggestion as the made their way out of the classroom, not noticing that Rei kept looking in the direction where Michael and Saya had left

While this was happening Saya after he caught up to Michael after stepping over several headless bodies causing her to have to suppress the urge to puke
The duo walked in silence as Michael easily dodged the slow attacks thrown at him by the zombies before he destroyed their heads each time using less and less strength
" why did you leave her " asked Saya after she couldn't take it any longer
" she's like a child when they're given the option to pick their favorite snack, I'm simply showing her the consequences of her hesitation " replied Michael nonchalantly after glancing at Saya
" but it's obvious that she would come with us if you told her to " replied Saya as she pushed up her glasses
" you liked the little twat just as long as she has and yet you know that you deserve better and know what you want.....who you want " said Michael teasingly causing Saya to blush and look away " she likes me but still has that hope that he'll man up and sweep her off her feet, they're too many beautiful women around me that genuinely love me for me to keep them waiting for one girl who's clearly expecting a fairy tail ending " said Michael with little emotion in his voice causing Saya to fall quiet as she thought of the women she once thought of as her rivals
' Rei I hope you make up your mind before it's to late ' thought Saya
" on to other news, these zombies, from what I've noticed, they're twice as strong as a normal human, so if you're grabbed there's no escaping " said Michael changing the subject. Saya nodded her head as she took note of his words
" I'm not sure if it's because they're brain dead but their coordination is off, reducing their speed by at least 30 to 40%, so you can easily out run a group if you're careful but do note that they make up for this with their seemingly endless stamina " said Michael seriously before he continued
" weakness wise, their head is the only one found, even if I break their limbs they still manage to climb back up even if they're much slower. Durability wise they seem to be much more fragile than before " said Michael as he noticed he could crack open their heads using 10% of his strength while using his boxing skill
" maybe the virus cause their muscles and organs to severely weaken but because they're not alive there's nothing limiting the amount of strength they could use which is why it seems to got stronger instead of weaker " murmured Saya before she continued
" they also seem to not have their senses other than their hearing " remarked Saya looking at the group of zombies on the lower floors causing Michael to raise his eyebrow in appreciation, she seemed to have noticed his look as she raised her head proudly with a hmph
" you seem to forget I'm a genius " said Saya causing Michael to chuckle making her pout
When he was about to tease he heard footsteps coming towards them to fast to be zombies, looking in that direction he found 2 girls running while holding each other's hand making his eyebrow twitch
" can't say I'm not a nice person, I'll let you both survive this time " murmured Michael before he grabbed Saya and ran towards them
