Chapter 1: The Mysterious Crater.
He walked through the empty battlefield, his heart racing fast. He didn't even look back.
Scared that whatever was behind him would kill him, immediately like his platoon. He heard a distance of gunshots in the thick foggy atmosphere, running as He looked down at his gun, it was just him now.
He pulled out his service pistol magazine and check closely how many shots he had left before placing it back in the gun and reloading it.
He grinned as he put the loaded gun in his mouth and before he could pull the trigger. He just grinned wider as the sky went suddenly dark.
He stopped at the last moment of pulling the trigger even further after the sudden change in the sky, immediately turning back to his senses when he saw the grass near his combat boots turn brown.
His shocked and dirty face thought he was seeing things, yet his blood felt cold after a loud unnatural screech echoes across the battlefield, there was nothing to quell his horror at the terrifying noise.
A few more gun shots were heard afterwards before it all became eerily quiet, to the horror of the living, no one was around him, he just stared, then the sound of something fell up ahead.
The sound of an unknown object hits against the ground at the center of the battlefield and soon erupted in a huge explosion, that shook him off of his feet.
He covered his face from the sudden blast of heat he felt, and prayed that he didn't suffer permanent burns or deadly chemical effects on himself. It hurt so much more when his eyes met the bright eruption, and shield his eyes with his left arm.
After the bright light faded, then he uncovered his eyes and stared hard at the massive crater. He knew looking at it, wouldn't help his curiosity, what if he was about to find something remarkable in the middle of a war, in this battlefield?
He dusted himself off after standing up and checking for his pistol, How was he able to stay alive after making this far without his gun!?
He looked around the ground as the fog started to disappear, and heard a couple of people, screaming, and gun shots started to proceed again. He was about to continue his search for his weapon, but soon changed his mind before ducking down low after noticing bullets passing nearby him, and begin to crawl towards the crater quickly.
His breathing was heavy and quick as he crawled towards the Crater site, "Here I come!" He said under his panting breathing, as more bullets buzz by over him.
More bomb explosions erupted nearby his previous area, where he was standing as the sound of soldiers were screaming orders again but, it was audible to not understand.
The sound of civilians getting killed suddenly turned to screams and aches after they gotten into the cross-fire when they refuse to leave their possessions.
He hurriedly crawls as fast and as hard as he could, "This is a war crime!" He said to himself, and finally made, it to the Carter.
And, suddenly stopped after getting a clear view of the odd metal object. Looking down on its surface, he could only hope that it wasn't something, like a bomb waiting to detonate right in front of him.
He looked around himself to see if the coast was clear, before making sure he was alone for now, even though he was in a battlefield, he hadn't encountered an enemy for a while, he approached the odd metal object and couldn't help himself but place his right hand on it.
Once, his hand touches the surface of the metal object, it suddenly begins to glow blue, which got brighter and brighter with each second. When he tried to pull back his hand, it felt like, it was stuck which cause the man to become scared and begin to panic as his hand also started to glow blue like the metal object.
This was definitely a bad idea, after all, these years of fighting in the war, but he decided to stop struggling and allow, whatever was going to happen, happen to him.
And just give up fighting, suddenly, remembering the sad memories, he got the message of his family's death due to a bombardment from the hostile country of Solgermay, when he was young.
He would always visit their graves every day, and when he was old enough, he joins the military to fight for his people, and country and even his decrease family, to revenge them for what the other country did to him.
"Well, this is it then." He Said to himself with a bitter smile, as the bright blue light engulfed him, brightly shining blue along with the mysterious, Metal Object, until, a quick bright flash appear, leaving no trace of the army soldier, and the metal object behind.
The battlefield continues, that was left behind after the bright blue flash. As the war between the two countries continue, to the fallen soldiers on both sides, it eventually became a stalemate, between them. "W-WHERE AM I!?" He finally, open his eyes to see a very beautiful lush forest that was so green, and full of health.
He would have never imagined, that a place like this exist, throughout the many years of painful fighting, most forests were destroyed due to bombing, and chemical warfare.
The scene took his breath away, The bright green Forest, the animal's unlike he have never seen before, and the bright sun shining down in a bright clear blue sky. Leaving him with just enough time to process, through his mind what he was seeing, that seemed almost unreal, and thought to himself many years ago, that he would never see the bright blue sky and the light of day again.
He then remembered the metal object, and quickly turned himself around to notice that, it was gone and no where to be seen nearby, it was as if, it disappears after taking him to an unknown alien like world.
