Chapter 29: What happened that time
''Ayah, aren't we forgetting something?'' Samantha whispered into Inayah's ears as the latter's face became red.
''What?'' Inayah slurred. ''What could that be?''
Samantha smirked saying, ''Gideon''
''Gideon?'' Clara walked to them and asked, ''Wait, he won't still be there, right?''
Joy looked at them and spoke. ''We will only know if we go there and see, right?''
''Let's go''
''Wait, I think I should go alone'' Inayah stopped them.
''Why?'' Samantha asked.
''I should reject him when no one is around. I don't want to make it a big issue'' Inayah stood up.
''That's true, but, why do you look like someone who is drunk? Did you mix the drinks with alcohol?'' Clara looked at Samantha suspiciously.
''No, it must be the weather. It's windy out here, you know'' Joy chirped in.
''Ayah, I'm worried he might turn aggressive if you go alone. Okay, how about we all go there, but, we will hide and watch. We won't make noise''
''Promise?'' Inayah pouted her lips.
''Promise. I am your best friend'' Samantha held her hand and they walked towards the hallway leading to the rooftop.
When they arrived, Inayah stopped them at the door saying, ''don't come in, okay?''
''Okay, go. We will watch from here'' Samantha said and watched as Inayah went towards Gideon.
Inayah stood behind Gideon and called him, ''Gideon?''
''You finally came. I thought you wouldn't come'' Gideon said and walked closer to her. Bertha who was hiding at the corner chuckled as she watched them silently.
''I'm here now''
''Inayah, did you drink?'' Gideon aske when he saw her reddened cheeks.
''Maybe, a little? But, it's not alcohol'' she brushed him off.
''Sit, I think I have something that can sober you up. By the way, who gave you alcohol?'' Gideon asked.
''Is not alcohol, is juice''
Samantha turned to look at Clara and said, ''girls, I think we should give them some privacy. Why don't you go back and have fun? I will make sure I record everything and show it to you later''
''Yes, let's go'' Selina said, pushing Clara backwards.
''Inayah seems drunk. Did you spike the drinks?'' Clara begun to look at the suspiciously. She didn't understand it earlier but now, she was getting worried.
''No, what do you mean?'' Joy asked.
''Clara, you must be mistaken. Even I took the same drinks with her''
''No, I need to go and send Ayah home'' Clara said and was about to open the door when something hit her head and she fell down and fainted.
''Selina, what did you just do?'' Samantha asked.
''I'm sorry but knocking her out was the only thing I could think of''
Samantha smiled and looked at Clara's unconscious body, 'you did well, Selina. This is what will happen to anyone who dares to cross me. Send her away and make sure you get ready for the climax''
''Yes, Samantha'' Joy nodded and helped Selina to send Clara away.
Samantha furrowed her brows when she didn't see Inayah and Gideon for a moment. She entered through the door and relaxed when she saw them sitting down. She saw Gideon handing over a bottle of water to Inayah and she frowned.
''Here, drink this'' Gideon said as he sat beside Inayah.
Inayah drunk some and poured the rest over her head. ''I must be really drunk. My head is spinning. But, Gideon, why are there two of you?'' she asked.
'You're drunk. Samantha, that damned girl must have spiked the drinks'' Gideon stood up and held Inayah's hand adding, ''I can't even tell you this today. Inayah, let me send you home first''
''Are you just going to send her home? She is drunk, why don't you just have fun with her?'' Samantha asked, walking closer to them.
''Samantha, did you spike Ayah's drink? You… how could you be this wicked? I thought she was your friend?''
''It won't be long before the security hears the loud music and gets to us. what do you think will happen when they learn that this is Inayah's party and that there was alcohol present?'' Samantha had a cunning smirk.
''She is drunk. Ayah doesn't take drinks from strangers, so you must have given it to her. I will tell the school authority you are the one who brought the alcohol. Where is Clara, I will get her to send Ayah home immediately''
''Let's stop pretending. She is not my friend''
When Bertha heard the noise, she stepped out of her hiding place and her eyes widened when she saw what was happening.
Samantha looked at how Inayah was almost passed her as she sat on the flower pavement. ''She is already in this state. You've always had feelings for her. This is your chance to make her yours. Don't you want to see what is beyond the pretty dress?''
''You're a psychopath. I won't allow you to do anything to Inayah''
''Really? Well, that is too late. Because, in a few minutes' time; I won't need to do anything to her. She would remove her clothes herself. Now, compared to you helping her out, everyone is going to end up seeing her in a sorry state''
Gideon looked at Inayah who was vomiting and asked, 'what exactly did you do to her?''
''Take a wild guess. What would make her want to remove her clothes?''
''I feel hot'' Inayah muttered as she turned to look at them.
''I told you. She is acting up already. Now, tell me. Would you help her or do I have to let everyone come and see her while she puts on a good show?''
''You're sick. I love Inayah, but, I would never hurt her like this''
''Okay. Then, you just made your decision'' Samantha took her phone to make a call and Gideon snatched it. ''Give it back to me''
'If you come closer, I will throw it down'' Gideon walked to the wall and stretched his hand with the phone towards the deep abyss down.
''Gideon, do you believe I could push you down there and put the blame on Inayah?'' Samantha looked at him with a sinister gaze.
''You won't be able to do such a thing''
''What are you guys doing?'' Inayah stood up and shook her head. she started going closer. ''Gideon, don't stand there. It's dangerous''
''Go back, Inayah. Don't come closer''
