The tension in the room was still there as a knock sounded on my door. My dad peeked his head in, looking between the both of us.
He tossed Aiden his boxers. "I know you don't like to sleep with your trousers on."
He nodded, and my dad shot us sympathetic looks, letting us know he heard our conversation. "You guys should get some sleep. I recommend you don't go to school in the morning because of how much sleep you guys already missed." He smiled.
"Night, kids. Sleep well."
"Night." Aiden and I said in unison as my dad shuts the door. I exhaled heavily, knowing I shouldn't have said those words to him, especially since it's not true.
"I'm sor-" We both say and softly laugh at that. I have to admit, it was a beautiful sound. The sound of our laughs together.
Aiden ran his fingers through his damp hair, making himself comfortable on the bed. "I don't like fighting with you." He mumbled softly, clenching and unclenching his fist.
