Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Hashira
I woke up to the sound of,
"Now let's put him on trial." said Kocho Shinobu.
"There's no need for a trail. Protecting a demon is a clear violation of the code. We're going to behead him along with the demon." said Kyojura Rengoku, The Flame Pillar.
"In that case, I'm willing to decapitate him flamboyantly. I'll show you the most flamboyant bloodspray you'll ever see." said Uzui Tengen, The Sound Pillar.
"You'd kill such an adorable child? That pains my heart! It fills me with anguish." said Kanroji Mitsuri, The Love Pillar.
"Poor soul, I pity him for having being born at all." said Gyomei Himejima , The Stone Pillar.
"Um, what shape was that cloud again?" said Muichiro Tokito, The Mist Pillar.
"What and who are the hashira?" asked Tanjiro with a confused look.
"These are the 9 hashiras, the strongest demon slayers." said the kakushi.
"Hashiras...Inosuke, Nezuko, Murata! Where are you?" yelled Tanjiro.
'Standing in front of the strongest demon slayers yet he worries about his sister and friend. I can't tell if he's stupid or too kind. It seems Ubayashiki-sama is not here yet.' I thought.
"Forget that, what will we do with Tomioka? Based on what Kocho told us, Tomioka is just as guilty. What will he do to take responsibility? Don't you have anything to say Tomioka?" said Iguro Obanai, The Serpent Pillar.
"..." said Giyu Tomioka, The Water Pillar.
"What's the harm? Let's come up with a penalty later. I want to hear his explanation first on why he's traveling with a demon." said Shinobu.
'It seems I'm bei' and before I was about to finish,
"Furoku Tokan, I would want to hear your explanation too. I know you're awake." said Shinobu.
"Yes, yes." I said. Seeing as the other Hashira's had a surprised aura since they either forgot about me or didn't detect me or maybe both.
Tanjiro started to explain after getting fed some water. It seems as the Hashiras don't believe him as they want proof.
"Before we forget, Tokan-san, would you explain why you were protecting the demon?" asked Shinobu.
"It was in the middle of my sixth year of training, I was trained by Urokodaki-sensei but on the fifth year. I decided to leave and hone my breaths and during my training, I came across his house and met them. Nothing special." I explained.
"Um, excuse me? I don't really think Master would keep in the dark about this situation. Is it really okay to deal this situation without him?" asked Mitsuri.
"Well, well. Is that the demon slayer who brought a demon with him? What are you trying to pull here?" asked Sanemi Shinazugawa, The Wind Pillar as he held up the box.
"Shinazugawa-san, please don't act out of line." said Shinobu.
"What did you say about this demon? That she can fight as a demon slayer among humans?" said Sanemi.
Seeing as he was reaching towards his sword, I ran over to which it looked like I teleported in the Hashira's eyes and took the box.
"What the hell is your problem? Who are you?" asked Sanemi.
"I am Furoku Tokan and I'm taking this box with me. I don't trust a fool to handle things." I said.
"What the hell do-" He looked into my eyes and stopped himself.
Cold eyes, an empty abyss, void of any emotion. Eyes worse than Tomioka's.
"Whatever." He said before lining up with the other Hashiras.
An aura of fear and an aura of gratitude came from Sanemi and Tanjiro.
"The Master has arrived." said the twins with both white hair.
"The weather is amazingly good today, I wonder if the sky is blue. I've already sanctioned the situation of Tanjiro and Nezuko. I would like you all to accept it." said Ubayashiki-sama.
With no surprise, almost all the hashiras opposed while a few didn't care. Then the right white haired twin took out a letter and read it. The letter came from a former pillar, Sakonji Urokodaki and said to allow Nezuko to accompany Tanjiro as a demon slayer.
And again with no surprise, they still opposed.
"Though there is still something I need to tell you. This Tanjiro has met Kitbutsuji. I think he did not see Nezuko's situation coming and I would like to take advantage of that" said Ubayashiki-sama.
Then it started to become noisy but with a single finger to his mouth, Ubayashiki-sama was able to calm them down.
"Although he has met Kitbutsuji, I still can't accept them. We still need proof." said Sanemi.
"Then let us get proof, Tokan. If you may." said Ubayashiki-sama.
"Of course. Excuse me for my discourtesy." I said as I brought the box to the shadow. I opened it and cut my arm letting the blood drip onto the carpet. Then Nezuko came out with a bloodthirsty look.
"You mustn't Nezuko or else you and your brother will be punished." I told her. After a minute she calmed herself and went back into the box.
"There is proof." I said and looked at the shocked auras of the Hashiras.
"Then there is the proof and one last thing before we conclude the meeting, Tokan if I may?" Ubayashiki-sama said and I nodded.
"This is Furoku Tokan, was Rank Tsuki but due to her request, she is now the Tenth Pillar. The Frost Pillar. Due to her Frost Breathing, she is unable to express emotions." said Ubayashiki-sama.
I saw read their auras, they were filled with shock, surprised, disinterest, and mostly disappointment.
"Excuse me but if I may Ubayashiki-sama?" I asked for permission and he nodded.
"Then excuse my arrogance. I am Furoku Tokan, The Frost Hashira, and the strongest Hashira." I said but with no arrogance.
Thus, the meeting ended.
