"When was the last time we had a thunderstorm?" quietly spoke a timid-looking lady in her mid-twenties. She wore a traditional gray nurse uniform with a blazing gold emblem embellished on her shoulder held in such high esteem within the "Sanctuary."
"We haven't had one in thirty years." replied another nurse in her forties, walking with a very elegant gait and appearing to be the former nurse's superior. There was a hint of nervousness behind her voice, and the superior nurse started to quicken her steps.
It can't possibly be. The birth of a new overlord? No... There've never been records of a thunderstorm like this before. It almost as if the world is trying to tear itself apart. What is going on?
The two nurses eventually arrived at a facility completely made out of white, refined marble, with large pillars around the building supporting its frame. They hurried inside and contacted the head maid running the facility. She was the one in charge of all the births happening within the facility. She had recently requested the headquarters in her area to send over "keepers immediately."
Keepers were tasked to look for special children with divine abilities among the millions of children bred each year. This time, not one but two keepers were dispatched to this facility.
The head maid nervously greeted the two keepers and led them to the room where they kept the entity that caught the attention of headquarters. They went through a chain of long hallways before arriving at a tiny room filled with toys, completely isolated from the rest of the facility with iron bars and steel walls.
"My God, why are you keeping a child within a prison!" exclaimed the nurse in her twenties, obviously anxious to see what the child was like.
"I'm sorry, my patron, this is only for safety precautions. This child... He's something else."
"That's a boy?" this time, it was the superior keeper who was surprised. Rather, she was more confused on whether the anonymity was truly human. "He" emanated a golden aura that no human could ever emit, with flawless, smooth skin and facial features that only gods could attain. He had very feminine-like cheekbones with large, blue marble eyes. Most surprisingly, his hair was extremely long for a baby. It fell to his shoulders in long flowing dark locks.
"Nevermind, it doesn't matter." the superior maid inquisitively peeked into the room.
"Have you determined his affinity for magic, any supernatural abilities?"
"No, my patron, this child has absolutely zero affinity for magic. It's just... we had mother Emma come in the other day and test him for his cultivation potential and..." the head maid started to stutter a little and looked visibly uncomfortable.
"Well, what is it? Come on now, spit it out! What is his limit?" the superior maid was also anxious, and her patience was running thin.
"My patron, he... doesn't have one."
