Chapter 52: News [Not a chapter]
How to summarize it in the simplest and most cordial way possible where I am able to explain my reasoning and reasons why I decided to do this?
I have concluded to put this story on hiatus and mostly considered that I should rewrite it. I have many very valid reasons for my decision and of course I will tell them to prevent people from thinking I am abandoning the story.
[Note: It's my second story, I'm a Wattpad writer in Spanish and uploading it to WebNovel was a test in terms of translating and uploading a story in English for the first time. You can tell by the grammar in the first few chapters. The story is also not making as much sense as I thought it would, and that's why I postponed it indefinitely]
Continuing with my decision, is that I haven't felt the same vibe with which I started the story. I feel like I decided to get to the point of the main story too quickly, to the point that I skipped a lot of time and the development was somewhat false, that I didn't put it in for the reader and for me, I didn't write anything, I just thought about it.
Another reason, valid to my point of view, is that as a writer of reincarnation or transmigration stories, I think that I modified Riku's personality wrong, not as she is, but I erased the essence of transmigration and tried to correct it with my character's soul saving Riku's soul.
This is noticeable because now Riku considers that the life she remembers is not hers, but someone else's, but in the beginning I wrote in a way that Riku was my character. I don't know if I made myself clear, but in short I erased my character and changed the essence of the story.
Also the last few chapters or since the time skip have been very monotonous, so much so that I have only followed the main story with Riku as filler, there are times when I wrote about Riku, however, by placing her with the main Loki Familia characters I was unable to create unique scenes for her and forced Riku to participate in all the Loki Family events.
Other factors may have affected me in the development of the story, like the fact that I have a university and time is money, so I can't write much. This can be seen by the fact that my chapters are now three, two or in the worst case one per month. They are long, with five thousand words, but that's still few chapters.
So yes, I think I will rewrite the story by changing many things, among the things are Riku's Familia, maybe her name because you know the reason why Bell is called Bell and Riku is a name that wouldn't make sense since Bell's parents were not from the far east, the backstory of her so it was that she grew up to the main timeline and her friendships in Orario. I liked the friendship with Bete and will see if I can create it again.
I think it would be better for the story to avoid it being a transmigration story, place my character in Riku, and just have it be her without any otherworldly intervention or things like that. With this I will make it nothing but third person paragraphs, since my OC would just be that, an OC with no otherworldly stuff. It would just be a Danmachi story and that's it.
I think this is the best option because if I continued writing it would simply be a copy and paste of the novel or manga with additions for Riku. It's better to create a separate path with her and so eventually she grows up. I will keep that she is Bell's sister because that's what's important.
Also, it would be good for me to create a character who is part of the world, by this I mean not an individual from another world, but someone who from the beginning is part of the world. In this case it would be that Meteria, Bell's mother, had two children and Riku, if it is still the same name, is part of the story.
However, for a moment I thought about giving Riku the memories of another life, but I would keep the essence in that Riku would be herself without any influence. To explain myself in the story I wrote that Riku was a transmigrated, however, now I will not do that and I will keep Riku as her with the memories not affecting her and Riku will just have them and use them as she wishes, no influence on anything. That was the idea, but I see conflict and I see more feasible to leave it with just OC, Riku.
