Chapter 2: Chapter 2 - System's Doing?
"Hey hey... I won't hurt you."
The white fox noticed me and was about to flee but its weak body is against it, making the white fox stumble as it winced in pain.
"I'm sorry to startle you but I can help you."
Using my Divine Power I discharge a soothing aura that can make people or even wild animals calm around me. The white fox felt it and relaxed the moment it sensed my power and intention.
I crouched near the white fox and placed my hand on its wound.
"You are stabbed, not bitten or clawed...Surely the attacker has a weapon..."
The fox nodded its head.
"Wait you can understand me?"
It nodded its head again.
"Amazing... You are like Kohaku. Wait, I'll call her."
With a whistle, Kohaku walked towards as in a dignified manner. Looking at the white fox, I noticed its eyes widened while lowering her head.
A sigh escaped on my lips.
"Kohaku, don't bully her or you don't have food later."
Kohaku's eyes widened and immediately acted like a kitten with her tongue out.
"Your not a dog. Just... Lower your magic power, please."
"Now then, let us heal you."
My Divine Power transmitted at the body of the white fox, its open wound began to close while the blood around her fur faded away deliberately.
"Do you have a place to go?"
I asked, the white fox shook its head.
'Rumble.'
"Your hungry huh... Here, eat this."
I took the meat from my Inventory ring that I crafted. This is a ring where I can place food and such that won't rot as it has a function that time will stop.
I realized that the fox is still weak so I supported her head and pushed the meat near her mouth.
"Eat slowly, there are more. It seems like you haven't eaten for almost two weeks."
She was thin, to be honest, she's like skin and bones but her appearance is still as mystical because she's a white fox with 9 tails.
"Heh... As expected of the food I cooked."
Within a minute only, her appearance regains its healthy look. She even looked more powerful than Kohaku but their league is still far like heaven against earth if I compare them.
"Come with us, you can live with us." I smiled as I offered my hand to her. The white fox lowered her head, allowing me to rub her beautiful fur.
"That's a yes then. But before we go home, I want to explore more. By the way, your name will be... Masa. Masa means elegant in Japanese."
I'm half Japanese so I know a little bit of it. The bit with the current me right now, I think I have learned all the language back at the earth.
We continued collecting herbs and seedlings from trees. There are many types of it and I just explored a small area.
Kohaku and Masa are walking behind me, it seems like they can understand each other. Kohaku with her weird tiger language alongside Masa with her laughing-like voice.
But as long as they get along then it's fine. I decided to walk because Kohaku and Masa will have time to spend and to get to know each other, it's a good thing for me and them as well because we will live on the same roof now.
"It's almost evening huh? And we haven't found a single inhabitant."
I muttered as I look up at the sky. It's understandable for me that there are no inhabitants above here because of the magic power and pressure.
The magic power can choke average inhabitants if they have weak mana affinity while the pressure above here can squash average dwellers like a pulp.
So it means that the plants, trees, and as well as Masa are powerful or have the magic affinity that meets the requirement here.
"Let's return and decide what to do tomorrow."
Using Space Magic, a gate is constructed in front of us, and on the other side of it is our home.
Masa got startled by the sudden appearance so I pat her head to calm her down.
"Let's go."

It's my second day in this world but now I'm in my humongous garden.
"Let's plant all of this..."
Both my pets are watching me while planting the trees and plants in different sections. I managed to plant 15 different types of herbal plants and 20 types of trees with fruits that I don't know yet.
"Okay listen both of you."
I clapped my hand to get their attention.
"We will explore this world more. Kohaku, Masa, decrease your size for now."
I made them decrease their size but they still look as big as a horse.
"That's enough. Then, I don't want you to attack any inhabitants that have I'll intention towards me, got it? I'll do it myself."
Both of them nodded their head in understanding.
Using my Space magic, we teleported to our checkpoint, the place where we stop. I didn't forget to put all my potions, equipment, and other necessities needed on a long journey.
"I can use space magic again but going on an adventure is different."
I clenched my first in excitement and the three of us proceed further down.

"As expected, there are no inhabitants in this area."
It has been a week since we began traveling and what I found is this egg on a tree with red fruits on it. The fruits even generate heat.
"It's large for a normal egg..."
I muttered as I inspected what's inside of it by using my Divine Power. A smile formed on my lips because I finally knew what it is.
"System. Is there a powerful entity living in this world? Are you the reason why I'm encountering mystical beasts to aid me?"
I spoke as I stare at the clear blue sky. I know I will not receive any answers but what the heck is a phoenix egg doing in this area? This is not destiny, I know the system is doing this on purpose.
