Chapter 8: I'm An Introvert
[Episode 8]
This man is making it extremely obvious that he's having odd thoughts about me.
He's made it impossible for me to ignore him, especially from the way his azure eyes sparkle as he eagerly stares at me in excitement and pure pleasure.
With his soft-looking lips and doe-blue eyes accompanied with delicate blonde lashes, his features make him look rather feminine. Even more so due to his shoulder-length hair and clothing.
His multiple moles splashed above his lips and eyebrow, his chin, ear and neck allude further to his delicate appearance. He looks so much like the ideal image of a woman that he made me initially mistake him for a dainty, older woman.
If it weren't for his voice, which actually sounds pretty androgynous in itself, I would've thought of him as a lady, no I do still think he may be a lady. It's far too hard to discern!
"Um… Sorry, I think there's a misunderstanding between us. Could you please explain what it is that you're thinking?"
"I haven't misunderstood a thing dearie!" He follows, "You're a trans woman right!?"
Ahh. I think I can now see the issue here. It seems he saw me, a woman with my profile saying that I'm a man.
"Sorry, Sir-"
"That's Miss to you! I just didn't manage to finish my voice feminisation therapy before I was sent here, but everything else is that of a woman's."
"Ah yes, sorry about that Miss... Actually, I'm not really a woman. When I got to this world, I just somehow ended up like this. And although a lot of its features look similar to my previous body's, it certainly isn't mine."
After saying it like this, there's no way she'd misunderstand me now.
"I understand you perfectly dearie."
"You do!? That's great then. I really have to get goi-"
"You're having second thoughts about whether the change was the right choice aren't you!"
"W-wait what?!"
"Hun, even I went through that stage! It was just before and after my very first surgery. But don't forget, when you had the feeling you were put into the wrong body, that feeling was right!"
All I can do to respond to her ridiculous misunderstanding is simply nod and smile awkwardly. To be honest, I'm not really good at speaking to extroverts, actually, just people in general since my conversational skills are rock bottom.
Now that I think about it, she seemed quite surprised that my status was still identifying me as a man, perhaps that means that her profile says she's a woman.
Immediately after this exchange, Murim who has been idly flying around floats higher and directs us towards a large wooden clock attached to the centre of the ceiling.
He briefly teaches us a few things before disappearing into his flames once more. At 12 pm every day, we will be sent back to the woods and when two hours are over, we automatically teleport back to this space.
Listening closely to Murim, I realise that if I want to, I can teleport to the forest by saying 'Bowa Forest Hunt'. However, if I go back outside of the designated time, I'd have to stay for another two hours and would still have to go at the original time designated to us. Therefore, if I went there twice in one day, I'd have been in that forest for four hours.
Anyway, that's something that I probably won't be doing any time soon since I don't have the proper means to defend myself when I get there.
Speaking of, I think I'll have a look at what I can do about my lack of weapons.
