Chapter 3: Evil
Xu Fengyuan woke up with a sharp headache.
The last thing he could remember was a black orb entering his body, and then he passed out.
Looking around, Xu Fengyuan realized that he was no longer in the confines of Red Mountain Orphanage, nor did it look like a traditional hospital.
Everything in the room was incredibly lavish and the equipment he was hooked onto looked expensive, even though he didn't know their purpose.
Xu Fengyuan shook his head, and smiled bitterly.
'The day before the Awakening Ceremony, and you happened to get kidnapped. Just my luck.'
Suddenly, the door opened , and a man walked inside.
He had the appearance of a man in his thirties.
He wore gray armor which was covered with a gray cape. His armor was translucent and glittered as it refracted the light from the window into strange hues. He had an exceptionally handsome, even beautiful, appearance. His long black hair fell loosely behind him, which was a stark contrast to his snow-white face. It made his dashing looks appear slightly scary.
Xu Fengyuan's instincts told him that he should not test this man, and that he was most likely, a powerful soul master.
"Who are you? and why am I here?"
The man pulled a chair near the bed and sat down.
He smiled at him and said
"Why don't we introduce ourselves first? An exchange of names is the first step to a friendly relationship."
Xu Fengyuan snorted.
"Shouldn't you do your research before kidnapping someone?"
"No need to be so defensive, I was trying to lighten the atmosphere. But since you don't want to, I guess I'll go first."
The man raised his hands dramatically, as if he was making a huge concession.
"My name is Ha Luosa."
Wait, Ha Luosa? Underworld King Douluo, Ha Luosa?
A look of shock passed through his face.
Xu Fengyuan looked at the man who could probably kill him ib a blink of an eye, and realized he was currently enjoying this situation.
"Well, since the cat's out of the bag, I'll just go ahead and lay it out straight. Your currently in one of the secret bases of the Holy Spirit Cult. I kidnapped you from your orphanage, so that you could be my disciple, Xu Fengyuan."
Xu Fengyuan didn't by that,
"I haven't even released my martial spirit, so how could I become your disciple?"
Ha Luosa looked like he was waiting for that question.
"Last night, a large amount of Evil attributed spirit power was released from your body. So, I can already guess your martial soul type, and since it can illicit a reaction from Underworld, it must be powerful."
Xu Fengyuan just comprehended the gravity of that information. His martial soul was an Evil attributed martial soul? That meant that he had no choice but to accept Ha Luosa's proposition.
Not only did he have no chance of going against Ha Luosa, but as a potential Dark Soul master, he must take refuge in the Holy Spirit Cult, or he would be prosecuted,
Ha Luosa got up and said
"Lets go. A day has passed since you have been knocked out. It should be your awakening day, right? Lets see if my eyes are correct."
Xu Fengyuan quietly followed him out of the room.
In this situation, disobeying was not an option.
