Chapter 81: SURPRISE

After Bastian opened the door neither he nor EZ were moving at all. Bastian had yelled the word what when he pulled the door open but that was all. After that everything went completely silent. It seemed as if they had both been frozen in place. I guess they were in some sort of a state of shock.

I don't really think that I have ever seen EZ stunned into silence like this before. He was just staring up at the very tall and bare chested man in front of him. I could see, though, that there was a smirk on EZ's face as he looked at Bastian.

When I had seen the two men just staring at each other my steps slowed. It looked like I didn't have to worry about an angry owl being woken up when he wasn't ready. Or an angry pseudo brother being mad about who this strange man was in his sister's house.

But, really, what the hell was going on here?
