Chapter 39: Second Day
The second day of the tournament began.
On the first day, 200 out of 400 players were eliminated.
The second day had three rounds. In the first round, the 200 players would duel each other, and only 100 would remain.
In the second round, the remaining 100 players would duel, and 50 would remain.
In the third round, the 50 players would duel, and only 25 would qualify into the quarter-finals.
The melee tournament event was a three-day event, and the winner would be decided on the third day.
However, there could only be one winner worthy of the title 'Melee master.'
The third day was scheduled to have a total of five rounds. However, because of having an odd number of players in the quarter-finals, one random player would be chosen to be promoted directly to the final round.
To avoid injustice and partiality, the players who would be chosen should have a record of winning at least three matches under one minute.
However, out of 200 players, none of the players were able to achieve it on the first day.
LNA was a worldwide game, and players from all over the world played this game. However, as the players had different time zones, it was hard for them to participate in the event at the same time.
To avoid such cases, LNA made sure to pair the players from the same time zones to fight each other; the same with the genders.
Although, as the numbers of players decreased, the gender and timezone mattered less and less.
The second day of the tournament began, and everyone was focused on watching the ongoing fight, except for one person.
Ziro was focused on Alina, who was making various types of faces while watching the fight.
Alina caught Ziro staring at her and asked, "What?"
"I was just admiring your beauty. You are gorgeous, and I am glad to have you in my life." Ziro thought of a random speech; however, his feelings were genuine.
Sera was standing beside Alina on the right side, And Nier was standing beside Nero on the left side.
Kiana and Kevin had entered the arena as it was going to be their turn soon.
Sera peeked from Alina's shoulder and moved her lips to say something, but Ziro couldn't figure out what.
Nier nudged Ziro and whispered in his ears: "I think she is saying 'Where are my words of admiration?'."
"Oh…" Ziro thought of some words to admire Sera's beauty.
After pondering for a while, he muttered, "I… love watermelons."
"What about mangoes?" Nier asked.
"Or Oranges?" Alina quipped.
'Did they just compare their breast sizes with fruits?'
"I… I am okay with any fruit, to be honest," Ziro answered.
[And The Winner Of This Match is… Inadia!], the mascot announced the winner.
"Where are Kiana and Kevin? They have gone in the arena since forever," Alina wondered.
"It should be their turn soon, I guess," Sera replied.
Ziro stared into Arena and thought, 'It would be hilarious if Kiana and Kevin fight against each other.'

"What?!" Alina exclaimed.
Ziro, on the other hand, raised his brows as he thought, 'I should wish carefully.'
"Why are they against each other?! And they didn't even tell us," Alina groaned.
"Maybe they wanted to surprise us?" Nero sneered.
"That's not funny, Ziro," Alina argued. "My two friends are fighting against each other, and I don't know who to cheer for."
"I will cheer for Kiana," Nier asserted.
"I will also cheer for Kiana," Sera decided.
"I am also cheering for Kiana," Alina uttered.
'Girls' frontline, huh?'
"Who are you cheering for, Ziro?" Nier asked curiously.
"Kevin, of course," Ziro replied with a shrug.
"So you are cheering for your male friend Kevin. And we are cheering for our female friend Kiana."
Ziro had no intention of cheering for Kevin, but he wanted Kevin to win so he could beat him with his own hands.
"I am cheering for Kiana, and Ziro is cheering for Kevin." After a brief pause, Alina continued, "Isn't it like we are also fighting against each other?"
"Don't mention it; don't even think about it. The last thing I want to do in my life is to fight you."
Sera knitted her brows and smirked inwardly. Then, she uttered with a smug look on her face: "But you two might have to fight against each other in this event, you know?"
"Yeah." Ziro nodded, "I do realize it. But the possibility of me fighting Alina is the same as me fighting you or Nier. As for my next opponent, it's someone named 'Roiuf'."
"I won't hold back even if I fight against you, alright?" Sera declared.
"I won't either.", Nero replied. "I might even squeeze your watermelons during the fight."
Alina shot a glare at Ziro and stared at him with a judging look.
"What? I am just kidding."
He wasn't kidding.
SIGH!
Alina sighed and uttered, "Have you not read the rules of this event?"
"Nope. I already know all the rules of martial arts, so there was no need for me to read them."
Alina opened the rules menu and turned the screen to Ziro: "Read rule number 13."
"If the player is caught touching the opponents' private parts for more than one time, they will be immediately disqualified from the event and banned from the game for seven days," he read.
"Uh…" Ziro shrugged. "I have mixed feelings about this rule, but I think it's good to have such a rule."
[Three! Two! One! Go!!]
Ziro and the girls turned their eyes to the arena and focused on the match.
'Joking aside, I truly want to know who will win,' Ziro wondered.
'I did see Kevin and Kiana fight on the first day, and I must say they are not bad.'
'Well, they are mafias, so they should obviously know martial arts.'
Kevin and Kiana stared at each other with serious looks on their faces.
Kevin raised his hands in the air, and so did Kiana.
"We surrender!" They both asserted in unison.
