Chapter 16: Back home
Zhou Lili panicked when she saw that the clip was released. She has even invested a big sum in order to hire a top hacker but he turned out to be useless. She was just contemplating on what to do when the police barged into her house and arrested her.
Her parents were also present and they questioned the police, the police merely told them the truth and took her despite her parent's protest. She had not told her parents anything and even the money she gave to the hacker had been stolen from her father's credit card.
Nevertheless, her parents were furious at her but their heart ached when she was arrested as she was their only child and they loved her dearly. They tried stopping the police but it was of no use and Zhou Lili was dragged out of the house.
There was nothing they could do but follow the police car back to the station. When they arrived at the police station, they found that their daughter was not only charged with attempted murder but also sued by a big shot.
No matter how much they asked, the police did not reveal the big shot's name and just warned them.
Their daughter had offended two very powerful people and there was nothing they could do. They could not even shorten her sentence or clear her name on the internet. They could only wallow in despair.

Liu Dai also found out about the footage leak and Zhou Lili's arrest. He was surprised that the person who wanted to harm Mo Chou was her ex best friend. He didn't know who uploaded the video but didn't investigate as the results were satisfying in the end.
He went to pick up Mo Chou as it was the day she was discharged and informed her of the events. Mo Chou told him that she had already seen the video and that the person who uploaded it was her friend.
She told him that he did not need to investigate any further. Liu Dai wondered how she had managed to become friends with a powerful person and a hacker nonetheless but kept his mouth shut as he remembered how he had treated her before.
He knew that he had no right questioning her as he had never cared about her before and felt slightly irritated. He promised to himself that he would try to make their relationship better but first he had to see if she had really changed even if he was 99% sure.
Liu Dai took Mo Chou home and ordered her to rest while he went to finish his pending work.
Liu Dai and Mo Chou were fast asleep in their beds when they were awakened by a noise downstairs. Both of them had sharp senses so that they were instantly aware of the sound downstairs.
Mo Chou jumped out of her bed and sneaked downstairs. She was careful as it could be a thief or even an assassin. On the way downstairs she stumbled upon Liu Dai who was also heading downstairs.
When they met each other, they nodded in tactic understanding not to alert the ones downstairs. They headed downstairs together. Liu Dai kept Mo Chou behind him so that she would not be in the direct line of fire if anyone were to attack them.
When they reached downstairs, they found that the ones who were making the noise were none other than their parents. Mo Chou sighed in relief as she could not have fought and showed her skills to Liu Dai if they were really in a dangerous situation.
They finally showed themselves and Mo Li noticed them. She rushed towards Mo Chou and hugged her. Mo Chou froze at the unexpected hug as she was not used to hugs or any other intimate contact from others and Mo Li was basically a stranger to her.
Liu Qiang faked a cough and Mo Li seemed like she came out of a trance as she let go of Mo Chou. She hurriedly started to examine her and see if she was okay. She rapidly fired questions at Mo Chou while also scolding Liu Dai.
After she was convinced that Mo Chou was not in any pain, she asked Liu Dai questions regarding the discharge all while Liu Qiang watched quietly in amusement.
Mo Chou did not know what to do with Mo Li as she had taken over her daughter's body and was now occupying it. She could not act like a stranger because even though the body's previous owner was a spoiled villainess, she was still affectionate with her mother who loved and adored her.
Actually Mo Li's previous husband who was also Mo Chou's dad had died when Mo Chou was very young so it had always been Mo Chou and Mo Li alone hence the reason why the original Mo Chou had grown up spoiled and eventually turned into a villainess.
The reason why the original owner of the body had turned into a villainess was also because of Zhao Lili and other bad company.
Her mother was not always present so she was lonely and got attached to anyone who showed her a bit of kindness and Zhao Lili had made use of her innocence to make her do her dirty deeds.
Mo Chou was in a dilemma as to what to do but she eventually came to a conclusion that she would just accept the warmth and love given by Mo Li as she had not experienced in her previous life so she might as well enjoy it while she could.
After Mo Li was satisfied and assured that her daughter was fine, she finally allowed everyone to return to their respective bedrooms.
Mo Chou went to bed that night smiling over the fact that she had parents who adored her and a mother who loved her. It was not so bad to reincarnate after all.
